This is a wonderfully effective workbook for anyone interested in how to begin the process of self-examination and self-discovery.
It can be used once or repeatedly as an individual grows and changes. Ms. Hagan's questions initiate a fascinating and most
valuable soul search, and her guidance is both practical and encouraging as one proceeds through her lessons.

"You won't settle till you have it all. Will you, Dillon?"
A tear dropped on the note. Heidi wiped it off, but it had already stained the lavender paper...
As far as Heidi was concerned, Dillon Archer was trouble! Not only had he wrecked her father's cherished business, he now seemed dtermined to destroy her own peace of mind--through the sheer impact of his powerful, magnetic presence! But his true intentions were a mystery...Could she trust him? Would falling in love with this man be an invitation to happiness or heartache?

A literate, entertaining, complete, and unsentimentalized account of Jane Austen and her family, nuclear and extended. The
Austens and the Leighs (Jane's mother's family) were both numerous and well-connected; their relationships are detailed in
an unequalled series of family trees. Ms. Le Faye has written about Jane Austen many times, and knows her stuff. If I were
limited to one source of information on Miss Austen, A Family Record is the one I'd pick.

As a Java programmer, I was interested to see from Lewis' text that Java is now in the syllabus for Advanced Placement Computer
Science. Bespeaks a good future for the language.
The book is not strictly confined to explaining Java. It starts with a chapter on the general methodologies of software engineering. Giving the spiral model for software development, for instance. And also briefly introducing UML, which is now a standard for describing software functionality.
On Java itself, Lewis jumps immediately into the key object oriented concepts. Like polymorphism and inheritance. Explaining that Java, unlike C++, does not allow multiple inheritance. You should be aware that Lewis does not (much) go over the basic syntax of Java, unlike full texts on Java. The emphasis here is given in the book's title - software structures. So you need some prior acquaintance with elementary Java.
Most of the chapters then flesh out what Java provides for you in various useful classes that are part of the default package for the language. Collections are an important part of this. Crucial concepts like what is an iterator, and how to use this to step through the members of a collection. Plus the idea of interfaces. A very nice and powerful attribute of Java. Interfaces are vital in building complex programs, where you can cleanly separate implementation from a class's API.
Other chapters delve into useful tools (for that is what these are) like HashMap and Hashtable. And you can see how common computing ideas like queues, stacks and trees are implemented in Java. Hopefully, you will appreciate how much you get for free in this language. These classes have been thoroughly debugged and are so useful to the professional programmer that you might become.
In a way, it is too limited to think of the book as being restricted to studying for the AP computer science exam. The scope is broader. The book is useful to anyone who wants or needs to study these aspects of Java.

This little book is a quick read, full of practical ideas. Chapter 1 provides great motivation for helping your children
become organized. With the goals in mind for the positive outcomes, implementing the organizational strategies becomes easier.
The chapters are broken down with lots of sub-titled sections, so it is easy to find just the area you want to focus on to
organize.
Mothers of children of any age can use the ideas in this book, but it seems to be the most beneficial to mothers of younger children. I have not seen another book with this distinct focus, so I would highly recommend it for every new mom!

Having had a big crush on Lord Byron since my English Lit major days, I was very curious about this book. It tells the story
of how Byron's estranged wife, Annabella Milbanks and his half-sister Augusta destroyed the poet; the former through her manipulation
and thirst for revenge and the latter by way of her inherent weakness of character. While this might be a tad unfair to the
ladies (after all, Byron was no saint!), the idea is compelling. David Crane is a wonderful writer. In the middle of the book
you will find a departure from the usual literary biography. He writes an incredible script about the final meeting that
might have taken place between Annabella and Augusta. It is so powerful! Unforgettable! Tragic, too.
I would gladly read this book again. It gives a unique perspective of Byron the man and the different women in his life.

The riveting tale of a strong, determined woman, who refuses to give up

In Lady Lightkeeper, talented author Nikki Leigh has crafted another riveting tale that will yank at every string in your
heart. Loss is an inextricable part of life for the people of Misty Cove and Lizbeth has experienced more than her fair share.
We learned in Widow's Walk that Lizbeth will not let adversity steer her off course.
As Lady Lightkeeper opens she awaits her beloved William's return from the sea, unaware that she will be tested in ways she never dreamed possible. Now, with two young children, she must forge a new life. The ever-loyal and loving Sara is there to help and support them even after a rift develops that tests their affection. Lizbeth's independence has always been a source of both admiration and rebuke amongst the townspeople, but it becomes clear that her tenacity and determination make her the right person to be the next lightkeeper, rather than the more experienced southerner in their midst.
Intertwined with Lizbeth's story, is a colorful cast of characters. These include the secretive assistant lightkeeper and the acid-tongued Ida who seems to have a hidden agenda where Lizbeth is concerned. In Leigh's expert hands their secrets unravel logically and meaningfully, leaving the reader feeling rewarded for having spent time with Lizbeth and the people of Misty Cove.
