Mr. Kennedy's book illustrates what we all know intuitively, that doing the "right thing" (good environmental managemetn practices) can pay off in profits.

His articulation of financial terms into easy to understand concepts really helped me to see where the profit hides in environmetnal projects.

The case study examples and exercises got me thinking about the many projects and technologies I could use TCA for.

An Excellent reference.

I came across this little known and hard-to-find book quite by accident. The title suggests simply another sex education book, but it is much, much more than that! It is truly an introduction and detailed lesson book on the human art of touching. It shows how touching can be used in mood-altering communication,in affection, in loving - yourself, with your children, with friends, with patients, and yes, with your loved one - involving every part of the body. No academic tome, it is a reintroduction to life itself, and redefines the meaning of intimacy! A practical manual; only 120 pages, beautifully written and illustrated - A MUST READ FOR LIVING!

Recommend it? FOR THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE!

Stacey Tisdale and Paula Kennedy have really made me aware of "The True Cost of Happiness" in a way I did not expect. I was startled to learn that the problem I had with finances had very little to do with money! It's really about attitude, self-esteem, and accepting life on life's terms. I found it a challenging, enlightening, and encouraging read. It is a mirror that anyone, if they are brave enough to be honest, can see how they got to be in their present relationship with money. I discovered that in my early life, money had been using me instead of the other way around. This book caused to me think about how my personality controlled the way I related to money, and money had nothing to do with that. I found that, in reality, the book was reading me very well. However, it let me know that anyone, including me, can change no matter where we are today. This book requires rigorous honesty to be effective enough to cultivate this positive change in how we view money, which is, after all, just a medium of exchange. I think students at a very young age should be made aware of this book so that they can become exposed to the fact that it is their attitude about money that will determine whether they live richly, or poorly. It is liberating to know that a change of thinking can create a better way of living by putting money in its proper place.

Tisdale delivers a panaramic view of one's finacial landscape and offers rock-solid advice to make that landscape a more hospitable -- and less scary -- place. Unlike other personal finance guidance we routinely encounter, she offers common-sense and doable steps without being preachy and judgemental. Most important, Tisdale respects her readers. This book casts light on "wholististic" financial planning, and the many bits of advice from experts in a host of fields help make it a must for anybody who feels they're losing control of their finances -- and for those who are looking for further areas of improvement. Most highly recommended.

If you really want to know what it takes to be successfully self-employed -- read this book. Hard core advice for people who want to succeed in business. As true today as it was in 1993 when Dan wrote it.

I've always been a big fan of Dan Kennedy. I don't subscribe to his marketing newsletter anymore because life has taken me elsewhere. (Actually, I need fewer clients, not more).

I read this book several years ago, and I read it at least twice more after that. I truly love this book as well as all of his other titles. What makes Dan Kennedy and this book in particular, click with me, is his contrarian approach to business and life. Dan has a high school diploma and that's it. He is street smart and self-taught. I love those nitty gritty real life "in the trenches" business war stories. You know the old saying, "Those who can do, those who can't teach." Dan has done it all, and then he teaches it. I'm glad he does.

One of the things that has always struck me about his writing is his sarcastic writing style. It's so "in your face." It's not sugar coated "feel good" stuff that goes away after you put the book down. It's real common sense. It works because he's done it. He's living proof of having done it, and this is a great collection of war stories. For the price, it's a steal.

I'm giving this book 5 stars because of originality and real-life examples. I found myself laughing much of the time at the hilarity of some of the stories.

Apparently, this book is out of stock or out of print. I would recommend using a search service to locate a good used copy. You certainly can't have my copy!

I am a political junkie and have read many a book on politics and political campaigns. I also am an avid reader of books on John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. By far, the best book on Robert F. Kennedy that I have come across is David Halberstam's beautifully written and poignant "Unfinished Odyssey of Robert Kennedy." It takes you inside the 1968 Presidential Campaign like no other book has done. It gives you a true feel for the man and his core beliefs. If you enjoy politics and enjoy reading about Robert F. Kennedy, this is the book for you.

ROBERT KENNEDY ON HIS OWN

David Halberstam does an excellent job of portraying Robert Kennedy in a sympathetic, yet objective light. This particular work focuses on the last years of Robert Kennedy's life and his career in politics.

Elected N.Y. Senator in 1964, Robert Kennedy was literally coming into his own. Prior to his successful senatorial election, he was the Attorney General during his older brother's tenure in office. Fortunately Robert Kennedy is not eclipsed by his brother, President John Kennedy in this work. Halberstam shows how Robert Kennedy came into his own.

Confronted with making decisions without his brother's input was a big and bitterly painful adjustment the Senator had to make; indeed, winning the 1964 election had to be an impetus that pushed him into a more visible position.

This particular work follows Robert Kennedy during his 1968 presidential campaign; readers travel with the Senator from state to state, immersed in the issues of the day. The final campaign curtain descends in Los Angeles on June 5, 1968 the night Robert Kennedy was assassinated. This book stays a step behind that final curtain; instead of revisting the horrendous night of June 5, 1968, Halberstam stops short and appears almost timid to move beyond a certain point.

I was first shown Studdert-Kennedy's WWI poems in 1960, and bought my first copy that year. I have since owned several and given them away - a bit like Kennedy's own life, in which his wife would come home to the parsonage to discover that Studdert had given their bed to some poor family.
G A Studdert-Kennedy's poems (like his fiercely written devotional and exhortatory books) overflow with love and tenderness, passion and anger against injustice, hypocrisy and cant. He demolishes the sub-christian theology of triumphalism, and writes, "...and I hate the God of power on his hellish heavenly throne, looking down on rape and murder, hearing little children moan ... [a bit later:] God, the God I love and worship, reigns in sorrow on the tree; broken, bleeding, but unconquered, very God of God to me..." (from "High and Lifted Up".
The poems, "Rough Rhymes of a Padre" was his own title for the first edition, reflect the man. He is no polished poet, but a passionate Christian minister who got his Woodbine Willie nickname (also the title of his biography by William Purcell) because instead of staying in the officers' mess with the other chaplains, he was down in the trenches handing out Woodbine cigarettes. After the war he became a pacifist, and fought that battle just as fiercely as all others, until his untimely death in (I think) 1929.
I'm buying two copies of the book now, one to keep forever - it will be, as were others before it, one of my most treasured possessions - the other for the inevitable gift to someone who needs to hear the authentic voice of the God who suffers with us.

There is something for everyone here from the much-loved Woodbine puffing chaplain - something for poetry lovers, war or military historians and/or Christians - they will find all something of interest in these pages. I found his haunting 'lyrics' unforgetable.

A lesser know war poet, but well recommended, who understood too well his men's feeling of God having deserted them to their trench hell. Faith finds it hard to adjust to horrors of war like this, but the feeling of being abandoned and crying out to God from the mire is honestly explored in this hauntingly beautiful poetry.

Another war poet I liked is -

Gerald Ford, Arlen Specter, The Warren Commission, Jean Davison, And The Single-Bullet Theory

WHY DID GERALD FORD "MOVE" ONE OF JOHN F. KENNEDY'S WOUNDS? WAS FORD ATTEMPTING TO CLARIFY THINGS? OR WAS HE PART OF SOME MASSIVE "COVER-UP" (AS MANY CONSPIRACY THEORISTS SEEM TO BELIEVE)?

--------------------------------------------------------

The subject of Warren Commission member Gerald Ford "moving" the location of President Kennedy's back wound has come up quite a bit in the wake of Mr. Ford's death on December 26, 2006; with, of course, the conspiracy theorists (CTers) of the world highlighting how Ford supposedly "moved" the wound for some conspiratorial or "cover-up" purposes.

But if CTers were to examine the WHOLE record of the JFK back wound (and the genesis of the Single-Bullet Theory), they'd realize that Ford's moving of the wound (on paper only, of course) actually tends to do the SBT more HARM than it does good!

I hadn't really realized that fact until just recently....with this fact coming to the forefront via some JFK Forum postings written by Jean Davison (the author of the outstanding 1983 book "Oswald's Game").

Why does the "Ford Move" do the SBT more harm than good, you ask?

Well, for starters, there's Warren Commission Exhibit #903 (which is a photograph that shows WC counsel member Arlen Specter with a probe/rod being held next to two "stand-in" victims, simulating the path of the single bullet that almost certainly had to pass through both JFK's body and John Connally's body on 11/22/63 in Dallas, Texas).

Via CE903, it can easily be seen that the metal rod does not indicate that JFK's back wound was in the "neck". It's definitely in the upper back; with an exit point JUST EXACTLY at the tie knot, perfectly matching the SBT's flight path.

Most anti-SBT conspiracy believers, in their usual "everything must be faked or phony" style, scoff at CE903, claiming it proves the SBT is "impossible", for some reason....which is obviously a kooky notion, because it proves no such thing.

The "Specter Holding A Rod" photo that is seen in CE903 is also in general agreement (location-wise) with the autopsy photo showing John F. Kennedy's back wound.

Assassination researcher and author Jean Davison wrote the following astute and common-sense-filled comments in December 2006 and January 2007 at an Internet JFK Forum:

"Both Morningstar and Kurtz claim that the entry wound HAD to be raised to the 'back of the neck' in order to make the Warren Commission's single bullet theory work. But the assertion isn't supported, it's simply a claim.

"Furthermore, the claim is false, since there was no need to raise the wound into the nape of the neck. Whether one agrees with it or not, the official WC illustration of the SBT (Commission Exhibit 903) IS the WC's trajectory for the single bullet, and it doesn't require an entry in 'the back of the neck'.

"I respectfully ask that you take another look at this issue. My question is still, what evidence is there that Ford made his revision in order to support the SBT?" -- Jean Davison; 12/31/2006

~~~~~~
"To my knowledge, {nobody} has ever explained how moving the back wound up to THE NECK supports the SBT. Nobody CAN support it, because moving the entry to the neck would destroy the WC's SBT trajectory, not strengthen it.
"Again I'll refer you to CE 903. Although Specter didn't drill a hole in the stand-in's body and drive the rod through it, had he done so, the entry would be in the upper back, not in the neck. There's a string on the wall above his hand that shows an angle of about 18 degrees -- that's the approximate angle measured by a surveyor during the re-enactment and the one the WC used for its SBT. If the rod is moved up to the neck, the bullet will exit well above the exit wound under JFK's Adam's apple.
"The claim that Ford's change 'strengthens' the WC's SBT is simply not true. If I haven't made my point by now, I give up." -- Jean Davison; 01/02/2007
~~~~~~

Is it any wonder why I've always loved the woman named "Jean" who wrote the above common-sense-filled remarks re. Gerald Ford, Arlen Specter, CE903, and the perfectly-logical Single-Bullet Theory?

Just excellent, Jean! And thank you.

The Warren Report may very well be the most unfairly maligned document in U.S. History. Way too many people say that they distrust this book, and they haven't even bothered to read it. Yes, I know that we cannot trust everything our government does, and we have to be skeptical fully-informed citizens. But don't let the conspiracy buffs treat you like a bunch of foolish children. They will tell you that you are naive for believing the Warren Report, and then they will shamelessly manipulate documents and distort evidence because they know you will not bother to check their claims against the real facts. The buffs irresponsibly ignore the mountain of evidence which proves that Oswald acted alone, and they will nitpick away at every little anomaly in order to fabricate a ridiculous conspiracy theory. The men who wrote the Warren Report were earnest, fact-finding patriots, determined to uncover the truth. They were not part of a massive conspiracy or a cover-up. The book is 800 pages long, with 26 volumes of supporting evidence! How can that be considered a cover-up? This book is complete, fair, competently researched and written. I admire Posner, Jennings, and Bugliosi for their efforts to reaffirm the truth, but they really shouldn't have had to bother. The Warren Report should have silenced even the most paranoid, over-active imaginations decades ago. Maybe in a hundred years or so, people will look back on our time and wonder, "What the heck was wrong with those buffs and their silly notions?" And they will see the buffs as we see the ignorant and irrational judges who hanged innocent people in Salem.

Where's The Cohesive, Logical "Conspiracy-Oriented Substitute" For The Single-Bullet Theory? Anybody Seen It Yet? I Sure Haven't
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 4 total.
Review Date: 2006-03-05
The Warren Commission, in late 1964, issued its 888-page Final Report on the assassination of President John Kennedy. The Commission concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald had murdered JFK, and in so doing, had acted alone. Also within that report rests one of the most controversial so-called "theories" in history -- the "Single-Bullet Theory".

The "SBT" has been battered from proverbial pillar to post by conspiracy theorists for multiple decades now since JFK's tragic death in 1963. And it's been an undeserved bad rap, too, in my opinion. Because the SBT is almost certainly the only conceivable (accurate) scenario to explain the injuries sustained by victims JFK and John B. Connally in Dallas on 11/22/63.

Lacking the SBT, so many weird and incredible and, frankly, impossible, things would have had to have taken place in Dealey Plaza, it would make a Max Fleischer cartoon seem believable by comparison.

Many people ("CTers" by specific categorization) seem to think that the holes in JFK's clothing are rock-solid "proof" that the Single-Bullet Conclusion is worthy of only disdain. They'll claim the holes in Kennedy's coat and shirt were "too low" to accommodate the accuracy of the SBT scenario.

But, it must be remembered that the JFK jacket hole in dispute is a hole on the BACK side of President Kennedy's suit jacket, not the front side (with the front part of the jacket, of course, much more likely to move around with ease).

Therefore, since the portion of the coat/jacket on JFK's back isn't going to be moving around like a coat lapel at the front, the coat hole lining up with the hole in his shirt is understandable, IMO.

The bottom line of this argument is -- CTers have taken one single aspect of the "whole" that makes up the SBT scenario (JFK's clothing holes on his back) and then they have seemingly chosen to ignore all of the surrounding evidence that says the SBT is the ONLY way the shooting could have occurred.

Plus -- I'm thinking it's quite possible that JFK's back brace might have aided in keeping those two layers of clothing (shirt and jacket) TOGETHER to some extent...more so than if he wasn't wearing the back brace. I'll admit straight away, that this is just simply a wild guess on my part (but CTers do nothing BUT "guess" 24/7 re. many aspects of the JFK murder case; so I suppose an LNer can do it on occasion as well). But it seems within the bounds of reason. I've never worn a brace like that on my back, and don't know for sure how it might "bind" or affect the clothing of the wearer of such an item. But it might have had some effect on the clothing to a small, or not so small, degree.

But a discrepancy in the President's clothing holes pales in overall significance when compared to the things that are "out of whack" re. the pro-CT side of the SBT equation.

Things like:

Disappearing bullets.....Pictures that have to be faked.....Three autopsy doctors who have to be falsifying official documents.....And three gunmen performing the impossible at-the-same-time task of shooting JFK in such a way to even come remotely close to being able to say (later) that these THREE shots all "line up" to a "Single Bullet" possibility.

Even WITH clothing holes that cannot be completely reconciled to the square inch to align with JFK's back (skin) wound, the SBT is far, far ahead of ANY conspiracy-slanted substitute for it. In fact, I've yet to hear a good, sound, logical, based-on-the-evidence "CT substitute" for the Single-Bullet Theory. I wonder if we'll ever be treated to such a revelation by conspiracy authors/promoters? Unlikely to happen, IMO. Because no such "believable" CT version of the shooting exists.

CTers, IMO, still haven't a leg to wobble on with respect to the SBT. Because virtually everything "fits" re. the SBT for the Lone-Assassin side.

But CTers, in trying to debunk the Single-Bullet Theory, are attempting to do so, even though the conspiracists have......

1.) No bullets where there most certainly ought to be bullets found (and THREE of them at that, discounting CE399 of course; because no self-respecting CTer would dare think that that bullet was ACTUALLY part of the "real" shooting).

2.) No damage inside JFK's back/neck where there certainly should be some degree of damage if two whole bullets had just stopped inside the President as if they'd hit a brick wall.

3.) No good, rooted-in-logic explanation for why Governor Connally's back wound was "oblong" in shape if that wound had been caused by an unimpeded bullet in flight.

4.) No real good explanation (at all) as to why on Earth those two missiles just stopped inside Jack Kennedy's body without exiting. (Two "duds"? Or two "misfires"? TWO?? Come now. What are the odds?)

5.) Not a single witness saying they saw an additional non-Oswald shooter.

6.) No proof whatsoever that the Official Autopsy Report has been "faked" or "phonied up" by the autopsy doctors (all three of whom signed off on said document).

7.) No proof at all that the autopsy photos and X-rays have been "faked" in some manner to "hide" the true wounds.

8.) No proof at all to show that the 19 different HSCA panel members who authenticated the autopsy photos/X-rays all lied when they said this in 1978:

"From the reports of the experts' analyses of the autopsy photographs and X-rays, the evidence indicates that the autopsy photographs and X-rays were taken of President Kennedy at the time of his autopsy and that they had not been altered in any manner."

9.) And to repeat a variation of #1 just for amplification -- WHERE DID ALL THOSE BULLETS GO? WHERE? Can some conspiracy theorist please provide the waiting world with the answer to that very important question? I, for one, would certainly like to hear it. It should be an amusing answer, if nothing else.

Finally a book that examines the evidence truthfully.

I know what your thinking, another book on the JFK Assassination and another book for the conspiracy theory, right? Yes and no, yes it is another book on the Assassination and no it is not the typical book; in fact this book has answers not found anywhere else.

Having read the author's first book, this follow-up is nothing short of astounding. What the author does here is simply take the evidence that has been used by the Warren commission and show you how they relate to the conclusions. What the book doesn't do is spin anything, everything is right in front of you and you get to decide what is fact what is fiction. Judging form what I have read this may not be as easy at it first appears.

You may think you have read or heard everything by now, but keep an open mind and delve into the heart of the book and you may find a few eye openers here and there. It is not just another book; it is so much more and if you are an assassination expert or beginner this book will have you talking, thinking and pondering the issue and evidence all over again.

What at first seems to be just another "JFK - what really happened book", turns out to be one of the best investigative pieces of research I've seen on the subject.

The power lies in the questions. The realization that something really corrupt and unspeakable happened in this country is hammered home with a simple yes or no answer determined by indepth research. The implications of those involved is chilling.

I've seen the JKF movies and read a few books and remember when the asassination was announced. Information I've never heard before is presented in this book.

"What Really Happend", brings up facts and answers questions that will send chills up your spine. Eye opening information presented in a concise and chronological format making a complex subject and course of events more comprehensible.

This is a hard-to-find book, but well worth the search.

this book is a simple question and answer book.
it dosen't go into the assassination of JFK, but rather it answers the questions of who was this guy and what was his role.
you learn about when ex-President Jimmy Carter was giving a speech on the JFK assassination and then the tv sound just went mute. the book answers what Jackie was actually reaching over the car for and who people like Lee Bowers were and what Richard Nixon and J Edgar Hoover had to do with the JFK assassination.

this is a very simple book, but it's very informative and very well written.
has numerous photos of some of the people mentioned in the book.

great book.
