Non-stop action and thoughtful romanceReview Date: 2004-10-15
When a man kills himself in Shelby's office and another tries to kidnap her, Gavin can't stand back and watch. Even though he knows he's asking for trouble, he can't let Shelby get hurt. And someone is trying to hurt Shelby badly--and won't stop until she's dead.
Author Kara Lennox combines non-stop action and a truly thoughtful romance in this addition to the Code of the Cobra series. Gavin makes an intriguingly different hero. With his troubled past, he seems an unlikely mate for the straight-arrow Shelby. But Shelby needs someone to shake up her life, and Gavin definitely needs someone to settle down with. Of course, the fact that their working together just might get Gavin sent back to jail adds to the romantic tension.
Fans of Lennox's First Strike Bounty Hunter stories already know they want this one. If you haven't discovered the Cobra yet, you need to. This is a good one.

Bounty Hunter's Moon by Ray HoganReview Date: 2000-04-27
Although Starbuck's brother is alegedly dead according to the opening line of this book, I hold out hope that there is a mistake about the message, and there will be another Starbuck adventure. Of course, if there is, it's probably already written as Mr. Hogan is rapidly approaching 100 years old....

What people are saying about this bookReview Date: 2004-08-23
Inspiring and also rich in the human story factor. Learned from the stories as well.
Thank you for sharing it with us,
Colby Stuart
I've read your book and enjoyed it immensely - Reminded me more of the James Herriott / Year in Provence style than a management textbook.
John Couldstone, Capita learning and Development
"Breaking the Mould is a personal and moving account of a management consultant on his experiences of empowerment, from the oil fields of Venezuela to Scotland. His anecdotal style is outstanding, and will help many of us enduring the problems of organizational life.....great read!"
Professor Cary L. Cooper, CBE, Professor of Organizational Psychology and Health at Lancaster University Management School.
Breaking the Mould is both innovative and quite unique - and is the story of Peter Hunter, a Management Consultant, and the remarkable changes he has managed to bring about within different operations as diverse as dog -sled teams in Canada, to the jungles of Venezuela, to oil rigs in the North Sea. Quite simply, it is the understanding of when individuals are allowed to take ownership in the workplace, and the achievement, when doing so of a significant performance improvement, which is then sustained through the workforce themselves having made changes to the way they operate, resulting in working conditions that allow individuals to spark themselves, and in doing so, also spark their colleagues. (Peter has a Masters from Cranfield and works with organisations such as Shell, BP, and Deutag, and is an ex Royal naval Officer).

Love the book...it calmly, confidently unwraps the message a layer at a time without ever once making the reader feel preached to
Steve Bownass. Ambit Video productions.
Definitely enjoyed the book. I'll be honest and say that the way the book is structured and the way it draws you to a natural level of understanding around the point being made is fantastic. I'm really excited about the opportunities we can create.
Jeff Hearn - IIR Training
I've never openly recommended talking to anyone before, but I'm going to make an exception. I've just spent 30 minutes "chewing the fat" with Peter and I'd recommend you do -though don't clog up his phone line now. No matter where you sit within in an organisation, talk to Peter. His "Breaking the mould" methods make commercial sense - not just consultancy sense, but good commercial sense!
Mark Williams
Peter Drucker said that, from Pappin's invention of the steam engine in 1680 to modern era, organizations had been based on energy flows from the top downward. Leaders would get those under them to focus their energy on doing certain things. Now, Drucker says, they are based on information flows. What Breaking the Mould did was let information flow upward. Peter got the workers to teach the leaders.
He changed organizations from hierarchies where the top people order, to the self-forming structure, where lower people form the organization build the organization upward.
The style is alive: the narrative is vivid and simple. Boileau, the French writer, said that he who writes well must first think well. Peter has thought well and written well.
Congratulations.

I found the book and have now read it cover to cover. It was really good.
You have a nice style and parts of it really moved me - so you are some writer.
I found the sled story really good as a paradigm for team working.
Once again very well done.

Bravo Zulu Peter!
Fantastic read Peter. I'm sure it's going to be a great success. Having worked in automotive manufacturing for a number of years, I suffered through many different schemes, projects etc. The only time any real, sustained success was achieved was when the focus and empowerment was on the people themselves. I have always believed that no matter what business, organization you're in - - it's always about the people.
Paul Synnot - Cruise Control
I've just finished your book. Great stuff. I really think it's going to help, and I can imagine it becoming required text at management colleges.
I wish I had had this book when I first started out in management and kept it next to me there after. It would have reminded me of the value of a less confrontational approach.

I really loved the book

Breast Implants: Everything you need to knowReview Date: 2004-03-27
I thank the author for her continued research on this subject. Many of us were sold untruthful information regarding implants years ago, and made decisions based on that. Many of us have had health issues since then.
Nancy keeps updating her books, adding any new information. She is one of the very few that empathizes with women who have found themselves in this health-threatening delemma. She stresses both the pros and cons of these surgeries.
I recommend this book to anyone who is considering having breast implant surgery, and also, to those who already have, and who will be needing removal or replacement.

Aubrey, and Patti's wealthy family, vow to find the baby and save her--somehow. Aubrey's search takes them from gentile southern mansions to the depraved depths of Texas's most tasteless and dangerous S&M bar. When Patti's father offers a multimillion dollar reward for the baby's return, Beau suddenly seems much more interested. Could he be interested only in the money? Or could the hunky bounty hunter be part of the conspiracy rather than a concerned rescuer?
Author Kara Lennox became a Harlequin American favorite with her blend of humor and sexiness. In her Harlequin Intrigue debut, Lennox adds danger and adventure to create a page-turning thriller. Aubrey makes a fine heroine and Beau is a heart-throbbing hunk. Lennox's polished and professional writing kept me intrigued and in doubt about who was behind all of the danger that came into Aubrey's life.
