"Let's Find Treasure" is a book that should be good fun for any fan of Bear and his friends in the Big Blue House.

It's a rainy day, but everyone's been having fun indoors. The kids have finsihed their activities, though, and aren't sure what to do next. Bear suggests a treasure hunt. He provides them with a map that takes them to the attic and beyond.

With 16 flaps to lift, this book will prove interesting and entertaining. This is a board-book and fairly easy-to-read. The characters appear as they do in the TV series.

My 2yr old son has loved this for over 6 months now. He loves the colorful pictures, flaps, etc. This is our second copy. He has no idea what to do with the pop-out pieces and those were a mess to clean up - but a great book.

Letters Home. The True Story of Lt. Harry Frank Hunt, etc.

Lt. Hunt, from the farmlands of Kansas, graduated from Kansas State Agricultural College in 1913. He volunteered for the Veterinary Reserve Corp and served in France during WWI. Book consists of his letters home, copies of his military documents, photos, quotes, maps and diagrams from Gen. John J. Persing's "Final Report," illlustrations by a professional artist, and more. Love of country and family, devotion to duty, historical facts, humor, romance, suspense, and tragedy are all a part of this true story. Easy to read, large type, cream paper, brown ink, a beautiful book both physically and story-wise.

I first read "Letters of a Woman Homesteader" by Elinore Stewart. I enjoyed it so much I bought this one too. It is the same kind of writing . Just a continuation of the previous book. Excellent writing of a truly gifted writer and woman from the turn of the century, 1900 on. She has a way of bringing you into her time as though you were on the journey with her. You can visualize all that she talks about. She has a way about her that you don't see much anymore. A love of her fellow man.
The stories in this book are from an Elk hunt that she made with her husband and neigbors. It isn't really about hunting but what she endures on the trip. How everyone pitches in to help one another and help those they come across. When they come across homesteaders out in the middle of nowhere they always are welcomed in. She tells in her own way what the people she comes across are like and how they behave. the letters are quite heartwarming and fun to read. I enjoyed every word. I highly recommend this book to those interested in Wyoming life at the turn of the century. Or just interested in how the people interacted with each other back then.
I'll be getting another of Elinore Stewarts books soon.

This book is very useful for teenagers and adults who want to be able to pronounce any English word whether they have seen it before or not. It integrates phonics with the reading of interesting selections. Very good for the improvement of spelling as well.

Barclay's work on this subject is helpful and full of practical insights. Worth having. Yet, there are two others I would rank above this one. John Stott's "What Christ Thinks of His Church," and Robert L. Thomas' "Revelation 1-7" in the Exegetical Commentary series by Moody Press, 1992.

This is a great unit for teaching gifted students; however, be careful ordering. The ISBN numbers listed above are misleading. The teacher edition, which sells for $49.95, is 078729392X. The student edition, which contains the short stories, poetry, etc. is 0787293938. These are normally sold in packets of 10 for $49.95. Neither is hardcover. Someone needs to change the ISBN information listed here so that it is accurate.
