Chinese master villains, Egyptian sorcerers, Atlantean myths, Afghan killers, voodoo, magic elixirs, no wonder Steve Costigan is bewildered. Holey cr@padoley.

Hanging around Spanish noble types is bad for your health. This time, it took a while to work out whether this gentleman Was Don Leopard, or Don Lupin. The latter was the case, and causes quite a few problems.

A Cthulhoid type venture. Not somewhere you want to be. Fairly proficiently done.

If an old priest tells you that the body in the tomb is an undead Spanish nobleman, and you happen to be a credulous cowboy, next time, believe him!

Another reincarnation type horror, with a Norse flavor. Nice to be given necessary supernatural artifacts via the reapparance of centuries dead ancestors, when that happens, that is for sure.

Creepy swamp monsters, of the female variety. Not too bad, the atmosphere is done fairly well.

Eternal Sparks in a Finite WorldReview Date: 2005-02-22
Dr. Hoffman's co-author Rabbi Zalman Shachter also writes with warmth and the gentle, sincerity of one who truly wants to share a precious secret with us. His insights ring with the clarity of an authentic spiritual master.
I highly recommend this book to all who truly seek to serve God while living in the modern world. Dr. Hoffman's skill with the written word allows even a spiritual novice to be more mindful of the unique divine path each individual walks through life. This book is truly a Spark of Light.

The key to Spartan gridiron history!Review Date: 2002-11-08
This anthology of football history contains the proud years from the early parts of this century when State fielded some of the finest defenses in all of college football history.
It also pays credence to the 1950s and 60s when MSU was a legitimate national football power. Those teams routinely hammered the likes of Nortre Dame and the university of Michigan. It is no wonder that the enthusiastic Spartan football crowd was used to voice the "war cry" of the gladiator army in the movie SPARTACUS. Those were fervent days in MSU football lore.
The book is also full of a lot of "Did you knows" that only a handfull of sports buffs might be aware of, such as:
Jim Crowley, one of Nortre Dame's legendary "four horsemen" was the head coach of the Lacedamons for the better part of a decade.
Knute Rockne nearly became head coach of the Spartans before Nortre Dame lured him to South Bend.
Barry Switzer almost became the head coach in the early 70s, only to change his mind at the last minute.
Joe Paterno's brother George Paterno, as well as Marty Shottenheimer's son Kurt were both assistant coaches for the Laconians.
For any MSU football fan, this book is a virtual must to have on your bookshelf. From the early days of obscurity thru to the glorious "game of the century" vs ND in 1966 and the victory in the 1988 Rose Bowl, the text is filled to the brim with team photos, stats and an assortment of facts. So buy this book Spartan fans, then get out your highlighter and enjoy!

Spooky Massachusetts, featuring witches, a wizard and ghostsReview Date: 2008-09-14
The first part of the book features ghost stories, among my favorites are "Hide and Seek", "The Treasure and the Cats" and "The Fireside Chair". Two others that I enjoyed are "The Jewelry Box", where a young couple find a safe place to stay for the night and "Thar She Blows", a tale about a whale hunting ship out searching for whales. All the stories capture your interest and can be read several times without losing their freshness.
