Dull subject, but this should ease the pain...Review Date: 2004-06-17
Having studied under the great man, it is apparent that Professor Sparkes brings a levity to what is traditionally a dull and turgid subject - compulsory for all undergraduate Law degrees in England and Wales. From his comments about red squirrels to his apposite use of diagrams to demonstrate the structure of trusts, overall Sparkes has written a brilliant book on Land Law - and that probably takes some doing. If students take the time to read the relevant parts, they will easily find it a useful tool in their first year studies.

Valerie Hart's First CookbookReview Date: 2006-01-19
In Valerie's cookbook, she includes a recipe for Lime Pie that reminds me of Key Lime Pie, but is made with cream cheese and she also has a mango version with dark rum and orange. Imagine a Mango/Orange filling in an Chocolate Cookie crust.
There are also delicious recipes for Pecan Pies, Rich Chocolate Cakes and Brownies and a recipe for Cheesecake infused with orange, lemon and vanilla. Perfect for serving with seasonal fruits.
The Suggested Menus are helpful as they show you which recipes work well together and how you should serve them. She has menus for picnics and parties, but also focuses on global culture and even has delicious vegetarian dinner ideas.
Some of the delicious selections include:
Stuffed Mushrooms
Clams Oregano
Shrimp with Herbs
Chicken in Champagne
Beef Stroganoff with Port and Brandy
Leg of Lamb Provencale
Barbecued Pork Roast made with ginger and apricot
Squash Souffle
Zucchini Bundles
Wild Rice Ring
Orange Chiffon Cake
Banana Cake - two version
Pumpkin Bread
Grand Marnier Frosting
Raspberry Souffle with Framboise Liqueur
This is the type of cookbook you wish you had discovered years ago because it has all the recipes you have been looking for! Truly a collectible cookbook written with love and filled with comfort food and culinary sophistication.

A very unique and insightful lookReview Date: 2005-07-12
It's a great read--you get plenty of insight into Nixon's personality (even what he ate for lunch!), how he operated the White House, how he ran his campaigns, his policy ideas, and ultimately the events that led up to Watergate and his resignation.
All the big boys are interviewed--Colson, Dean, Halderman, Erlichman, etc. But still, nobody can figure out who ordered the break in. They're all still blaming eachother.
The theories on who Deep Throat was are funny in the context of his recent admission. Haig almost nails it. Everyone else is way off.
Anyway a great read--I'm now going through the rest of the Oral History books these authors have written. I hope they do more!
