This is a beautifully produced coffee table quality book relating experiences with Indians, nature and architecture. It has many high quality photographs taken by the owners over the years. Phillip Johnson, an architectural icon describes the architecture as the best use of rocks in a dwelling in the world...the architecture connects huge boulders without intruding on nature. Text and photographs heighten the feelings and importance of living with nature and this registered historic site, rather than just on it.

The service of this publisher is excellent. I highly recommend doing business with them through Ancestry.com, or directly. The book is a delight, although it is a novel, there are some real clues in here about Nantucket Indians, life on Nantucket for the time period etc. - I'm thrilled with it. Order this book if you are looking for stories on the indians, whaling on Nantucket etc.
I purchased it to find out more on my ancestors...

This says that it is a facsimile of an antique original - if it is then it is well done, the pictures do look antique, but the text is rather odd and it doesn't quite rign true - still if it is, it is a lovely little piece which my two girls adore reading.
It is a very short book, with a few pages of rhymes, about a superior town mouse, Miss Browne, who informs her cousin, Mrs Gery-mouse, that she is visiting. It is very simple, there is a lot of read abotu and talk about in every page, th eillustrations are great fun - and it has a couple of lovely little twists at the end. - Your children will enjoy this one.

Our Montana Legend was not fully explained - just roughly hinted at. But then that is what a Legend is.
Young [how young] widow Sarah Redding would do anything to help heal her young daughter, Ella.
She was poor relation to her scoundrel, Uncle Milt, and fit only for what work he could get out of her.
He was bound and determined to have the boundary creek and the neighboring animal for his own.
Sarah was hoping and dreaming of finding another man to love, but he would have to love her in return.
She was dusty, dirty, and disheveled [and barefoot]"Well, heavens to betsy", working up the ground to plant a garden and into her life rode a rugged jewel of a man who could offer her everything -- except his heart!
Gage Gatlin and his daughter, Lucy was looking for a homestead or ranch in which to finally settle down. Gage knew that love was a fairy tale but there was something about Sarah that drew him. His meeting with Sarah was momentous, about to change his life and disrupt it.
Suddenly the two girls were best of friends and wanting to sisters. Sarah was falling in love with Gage but he could only offer devotion and desire -- his wounded heart and problems was just hinted at.
But he was a legend and too darn good looking for Sarah's taste. Gage had to find a way to keep Sarah around, he was finding it hard to keep his hands off her.
Discrepencies: Arabian horse in that day and age? And how can he jump on a horse bareback and without a bridle and get caught in a stampede of cattle and horses and be using a bridle to steady his horse??
Definitely a good story content but again back with the PMS [numerous times] and she doesn't get pregnant? Ah well, some fantasy.
Good Read - recommended --M Humorous exchanges between the two just reels you in.

Ethnobotany of Montana

Excellent 1996 re-issue of Jeff Hart's 1976 work published by the Montana Historical Society, with over 60 plants (from trees to lichens) used by Montana's Indian tribes for food, medicine, shelter, and crafts. Well-illustrated; essential for those interested in Montana history and the great outdoors. Many of these plants are becoming harder and harder to find with the boom in Montana's development, and conservation efforts need to focus more on the preservation of these often overlooked ethnobotanical treasures of the Treasure State.

I loved Moonlight For Maggie! This book is fast-paced, romantic, and exciting, and the characters engaged me from the very first page. Maggie is smart, spunky and full of life; Paul is sexy and just a little bit cynical--a great hero! Moonlight For Maggie is a terrific debut for Alexis Hart! Don't miss it!

Of all the magnificent works penned by the legendary writing team of Kauffman and Hart, "The Man Who Came To Dinner" stands alone as a true masterpiece of its genre. Arguably the greatest American drawing room comedy of all time, the show opened on Broadway in 1939 starring Monty Wooly as Sheridan Whiteside (a role he would later repeat on screen), and was an immediate success. Though over sixty years old, the work has stood the test of time as its multilayered plot, and bizare characters remain as funny today as they were when first performed. Though no experience can compare to viewing the play on stage, listening to Moss Hart read the script aloud is definitely a worthy and often fascinating substitute. To those who love comedy, and the grand theatre of a bygone era, I recommend this tape without reservation!
