Beyond Our Consent by Robert Harris Brevig
I initially stumbled across this book while performing a Google search for sources of information pertaining to Col. L. Fletcher Prouty. I discovered that Col Prouty, who authored `The Secret Team' and `JFK, Vietnam, The CIA, and the Plot to Assassinate JFK,' wrote the compelling Foreword for `Beyond Our Consent.' I found that the subject matter of Beyond Our Consent contained references to one of my early and continuing interests, that of the `monetary system.' From that point on, it was quite easy to become engrossed.
The author's background and personal experiences, including military service (he is fortunate to be alive today) have provided him with a unique perspective of the world in which we live. I became quickly intrigued with the author's clear and concise style and his range and depth of knowledge. Mr. Brevig explains far ranging politico-socio-economic events in an easily understood manner. He further explains how we, the common people, have been gradually brainwashed by the "Power Elite" in their continuing and centuries (perhaps millennia) old quest for total control over the unknowing and uninformed populace of the entire world. Mr. Brevig's knowledge and challenge has inspired me to continue in my own search for Truth. In the very short time since I became aware of Mr. Brevig and his Beyond Our Consent, I have discovered an extensive volume of additional and valuable information to enlighten myself as well as others. The Truth is out there and available to all of us, if we will but search for it. Power consists of both knowledge and truth. With knowledge, truth and effort, we might harness the power to enable us to change the course of the unrelenting tide that has been released upon us by the Power Elite before we are enveloped by it.

I would highly recommend for readers from 9 to 99. Gives short synposis on all types of ocean facts and trivia; from where
the deepest point of the ocean is on earth and HOW they measure it, to describing various types of jellyfish. Is jam packed
with relevant and fun facts written in a style that ANYONE can easily understand and absorbe. Each topic(ex.seals)in discussed
in one to two pages and gives you the relevant & fun facts without going into to much "scientific" detail and includes wonderful
photographs. I have enjoyed this book so much, I am in the process of purchasing the whole series of Time Life Student Library
of books. These books are books for students of life!

Ms. Harris has a wonderful way with words. The way she can describe a passage in the story you would think you were there.
This book has a great love story but she shows how history can sometimes tragicly repeats itself.

Bledding Sorrow is a story about a family in England named Bledding. Madness is a trait in their family. In the 1970's,
their stately English home has to be used for a tourist attraction because they have run out of money. The owner is beset
by a crazy wife and blunt servants....Mavis Bonebrake is the cook for the manor, and she is crude, unrefined and un abashed.
The old nanny, Caldy Moore, feels sorry for the owner's wife but is too afraid to help her. Geoffrey Bledding tries to keep
his wife a secret from visitors, but a hired coachman discovers her and draws her out of her madness. They try to escape,
but meet the same fate as a previous Bledding ancestor - very riveting, sadly tragic, old English family and funny at points.
One of the best books I've ever read!

Bloggers' Delight: Stories on Love and Redemption is a collaboration of unique and gritty stories written by several bloggers.
What is a Blogger? A blogger is a person that writes articles, opinion or snip-its of this and that on the internet. Some
write for political reasons, some write as a means of expressing themselves, or some write to improve their writing skills.
Many bloggers simply write for the joy that it gives them.
Cordenia Paige sets the tone of love with "Rey of Hope". This tells of a young woman who learns that her boyfriend does not share her feelings. In "One to Remember", R. Fitzgerald tells the story of romance as Everett goes out of his way to impress Samaya. His dream is shattered in one quick moment. Diane Dorce's story "Smoke" and Terrence Stevens' "Toss-A- Cross" demonstrates the extent of a parents' love for their children. April Hayes' novel excerpt "Negotiating Compromises" is a set of compromises with diverse outcomes. "The Mending" by D. R. Johnson brings Jarel Deak home from Iraq with more than the war on his mind. He has a question to answer that can cost him everything. Throughout the book, there are unique poems of love and acceptance by Saadia Ali Aschemann.
The contributors of this book, in my opinion, were successful at expressing their love for words. As the contributors state in their introduction, they have set the tone for bloggers everywhere and introduces others to the unique and fast growing world of blogging. This book is recommended to any one looking for something new and exciting. I look forward to reading more from each collectively and individually in the future.

Sheldon Harris" Who's Who in Blues is a remarkable feat of diligent research. Too often what is marketed as an encyclopedia
fails to deliver, and experts can list almost as many people who have been left out of its pages as those who made it in
as entries. Not only will you be likely to find an entry for your favorite but obscure bluesman or blueswoman, you will
likely be pleased at the amount of information provided. And there is not musical prejudice or snobbery here; the traditional
bluesmen share space with the Blues Queens of vaudeville and the latecomers who put the soul in Rhythm & Blues. The amount
of information provided varies with each performer. The more obscure blues performers left little record, but what could
be found is doubtless within the covers of the Who's Who in Blues. Legends like Bessie Smith, Ethel Waters, Louis Armstrong,
etc. have their careers detailed year by year with places and dates played that you are unlikely to find anywhere else.
Also included are snippets of critical comments, songs with which the performers were identified, and citations of other
performers who were influences to them. - Frank Cullen Artistic Director American Vaudeville Museum, Inc.

As a member of the audience at many of the 'gigs' compiled here, I know first-hand of their accuracy,(a rarity in the field).
Considering the age of this edition, there is still nothing that comes close to its accuracy and completeness. The info isn't
spoon-fed, but the "small print' leads to much cool fact-finding. For instance; BB King,(1964, Chicago's Regal Theater, the
best known and most honored live blues recording ever), was the -opening act- for Jackie Wilson's show!

An unique perspective on family & the New York Yankees

Review Date: 2008-10-10
A New York Yankees fan since the age of five, Cecil Harris became the first African-American to cover the Yankees as a full-time
newspaper beat writer in the 1990s. But far from becoming a Yankees cheerleader, he incurred the wrath of some Yankees officials,
including tempestuous owner George Steinbrenner himself, because of his clear-eyed, objective and award-winning reporting
on the team. Hariis recounts those stories in Call the Yankees My Daddy. Despite his constant battles for respect, Harris
was thrilled to witness the building of what became Major League Baseball's last dynasty -- the Yankees won four World Series
from 1996-2000. Although Harris's father was a National League fan who resented the Yankees for being among the last clubs
to integrate (not until 1955, eight years after Jackie Robinson's debut), he encouraged his son's love of baseball and language,
and intellectual curiosity, while tolerating his son's team of choice. Baseball provides a strong link between parents and
children, particularly fathers and sons, and Harris pays homage to that tradition in Call the Yankees My Daddy. And he concludes
the book with a cogent analysis of how the Yankees' organizational instability has led to the club's decline in this decade.
Rich journalistic account from a gentleman who loves the Yankees!

Cecil Harris is a beat writer for a Westchester County NY paper who recollects about his journalistic days covering the Yankees
in the mid 90s, including the '96 season, as well as his past in living in a household filled with Met and Brooklyn Dodger
fans. He describes about the time he became interested in the Yankees and shares his beliefs as to who are the 'true' Yankees
today and in the past, as well as his favorite of all-time: Horace Clarke, a second baseman from the 60s-70s. Harris also
offers a clear picture of how race plays a role in the game even today and what effect players have used the race card in
interviews with Harris. Overall, I could not put this book down and I recommend it to anyone whose a true baseball fan, not
even a Yankee fan per-say (but it does help if you are a Yankee fan!) Not only is the book a fun read, but your emotions
will get the best of you when he recalls his immediate family and the memories he has of them through the sport of baseball.
An excellent book overall - thanks Cecil Harris for your thoughts and wisdom.

What a magnificent tribute to the men who risked their lives to further diving and make their mark on the commercial world
of oil and gas exploration. These men and their contributions to the research and development of deep diving is finally recognized.
The "Oil Patch" was forever changed, enhanced, and formed by their efforts and sacrifices. Gary captured the essence of their
selfless devotion and courage.

Gary Harris' book traces a key figure in the development of underwater gear for commercial divers. I recently became interested
in underwater commercial diving, and Mr. Harris' book provides a concise introduction to the technical and human challenges
of this amazing activity. This is a highly entertaining read that illuminates the culture and economics of the Gulf region
as Joe Savoie worked to refine his diving helmet. If you are looking for an excellent introduction to the historical and
technical foundation of modern commercial diving, this book is a must-read.

We got this for our five year old son and he asked us to read it again and again. As we approach his sixth birthday, I noticed
that he had gotten in out when he woke up early and was just buried in it for about an hour. He can answer questions about
castle building and historical references, and incorporates what he learns from the book when he's building sand castles and
legos.

From the first to the last page the theme shows undeniable, historically recorded, evidence of how an invisible junta of elitists, an oligarchy of well hidden orchestrators and social engineers, manipulate the direction of our societies along with our lives to their own power and profit-taking advantage by encouraging us to become victimized by this flaw in ourselves. This powerful cabal does this by means of the control they have gained over our debauched money system and the banking industry, the military/industrial complex and our political machinery, our publishing houses and organized religion, and perhaps most importantly, our academic institutions and so-called independent media. Without truth in education and a "free press", the people and their government inevitably become estranged from each other and, hence, both are easy prey for this enterprising and ambitious conclave.
In a brief and concise way this book connects the dots showing how, we, the people, have been quietly and gradually herded into a collectivist "corral" which we are now being accustomed to hear benignly called "Globalism", or more specifically, the "New World Order", an imposed secular condition that will assure eventual psychological and spiritual tyranny upon mankind. What is most fascinating about this book is that it reveals how this astoundingly ambitious feat has been achieved without the awareness of those who are being "corralled". It's like a road map through the shadowy and forgotten wilderness our civilization has been hewn out of. For some it will reveal the real path we've been on for such a very long time yet perhaps more importantly, for others, it will show the dubious path to where we are headed. This book will most certainly become even more relevant as time goes on.
