We found this book at our library. My 6 year old son enjoyed reading it on his own and wanted to read the others in the series. It has wonderful photographs and 30-40 relatively easy to read words per facing page. Well worth your time to consider. Dewey decimal #599.5 GRE

She starts out the book with a BANG. Madeleine Poquelin witnesses her father's death. From then on, she is trying to avenge his death and bring the perp to justice in King Louis XIV's France and everyone knows how dangerous the times were then. She is in danger at every turn and sometimes just barely escapes with her life. Naturally she falls in love with one of the courteir's of the kings court. Madeleine and Germain's love story is very good and sometimes heart rendering. I truly enjoyed the book, was surprised it was so good.

Recovery Meditations

Review Date: 2003-03-30
Eric points out in short, concisely written meditations the many slippery places, things and people that I have become addicted to or that trigger my relapses. In my case, isn't wanting more money, bigger homes, nicer cars... a good thing? When do I have enough? When am I ok? Mr. Greene asks me examine this.

I meet my addictions on page after page. Sometimes laughing, sometimes crying, somtimes raging and sometimes denying! But everytime I react strongly, Eric asks me examine the issue with strength, courage and honesty.

I recommend Mr. Greene's book for all recovery addicts who want more then cessation of our obsession and seek serenity and joy.

The Creation of a New Modality: Reiki-Yoga

I love this book! Douglas has created a brand new healing art by combining Reiki with yoga; it's hard to believe this hasn't been done before, it's such a natural blend.

Whether you're experienced in yoga and attuned in Reiki or brand new to both, this book will work for you. It's well organized and basic enough for the beginner with helpful pictures and diagrams throughout. And the spiral binding makes it easy to keep the book open and follow the instructions for each asana.

If you're experienced in Reiki or yoga, you'll delight in seeing your favorite "problem" areas addressed ...I've always wanted an easy way to send Reiki to my adrenals and many of the practices do just this.

I recommend this book to everyone with an interest in healing.

Teachers of multicultural literature at both the high school and college level will find many valuable essays in this collection. This also would be useful for a teacher-training course. The essays range from first-person accounts of classroom experiences to analyses of texts that teachers could present to their own students. The overall tone is teacher-to-teacher discussion, with a good combination of theory and practice.

This book was excellent. It was a verse by verse study of Revelation, and it really cleared alot up. Oliver B. Greene did an outstanding job in explaining this book, and I have no doubt in my mind that the Lord would give his blessing on every word in this book. Anyone who may have questions concerning the Bible book of Revelations should read Oliver B. Greene's verse by verse study. I will definately keep this book in my collection.

One of about five books centered around a boy (Tolly) who has been home from India sent to live with his Grandmother at the ancestral home in England. He soon discovers that his cousins from several centuries ago still live in the house, and he moves between the 20th and 17th centuries, learning the secrets of the house. An enchanting story. If you like Susan Cooper's fantasy books, you will like Lucy Boston's.

THE ROAD TO VICTORY
A Dramatized Documentary of World War II
Originally Broadcast May 8, 1945 on CBC
This radio program is the story of W.W. II. Utilizing a mixture of excerpts of actual speeches and dramatizations it brings to life the attitudes of that time.
During World War II, one of the strongest threads that connected every citizen to global events was their radio. With this one-hour documentary, listeners are treated to some of the most stirring speeches of the day.
Listen to Roosevelt's speech that includes, "The Hand that held the dagger stuck it into the back of its neighbour....", Neville Chamberlain announcing war with Germany, Winston Churchill stating "...this was their finest hour..." plus many other prominent people of that era. The dramatized segments of this docudrama add elements that uniquely convey the feelings of civilians and soldiers during the tumultuous times leading up to and during the war.
