This book is great for the beginner or someone who wants to review 12 lead interpretation. The rhythm review is great and really reenforces the methodical approach neccesary for effective ECG interpretation.

This is THE book to learn 12-leads. It's super easy to read, thorough treatment of the subject and includes the best graphics of any book I've ever seen. Should be mandatory for any nurse or doctor that comes close to cardiac stuff.

After a natural disaster forces Gabriela and her family to immigrate to the United States temporarily, the little girl is frightened. She'll have to leave her bestfriend behind, board a plane, learn a new language and adjust to a new life and culture. But Gabriela has a way of coping in her new home: She sings a song that calms her.

"Kíkiri-Kíkiri-kí, Kíkiri-Kíkiri-ká. Yo no tengo miedo, porque el miedo no me va" Gabriela sings over and over.

And her song may help other kids who don't speak English adapt to their new surroundings.

Gabriela is the main character in the new children's book, La Cancion de Gabriela. The lushly illustrated book, which looks almost like a polished cartoon on paper, takes the reader on Gabriela's journey from her home in Latin America where a volcano and strongs winds force her and her family to relocate to an aunt's house in the United States.

We see Gabriela nervous on her first day at school where she sees students who look like her and some from different backgrounds and races. She feels at home there. We see her make a new friend who is scared of rain as she was. We follow Gabriela as she learns a song, Gabriela's song, which centers her whenever she's scared.

The book has a beautiful message for children learning to adapt to a new environment or for kids who are traumatized by a natural disaster. The message: You are never alone as along as you have family and new friends. For children who are learning Spanish, the book, through its vivid illustrations, would also be a good way to practice the language. La Cancion de Gabriela is a beautiful song to sing and a wonderful book to read!

This book presents a refreshing, straightforward approach to laser safety. The authors have written the material in such a way, that a person with little or no laser experience can establish a safe working laser environment. Unlike other laser safety manuals, this book provides hands on advice and practical tips without bogging the reader down with trivial information. I highly recommend this book for anyone who will be working in a laser environment.

This book should be a required-reading for new as well as experienced users of laser devices who work in close proximity of laser beams. It points out clearly and succinctly the danger that a beam of laser may posses. Even a very low power may cause permanent damage to unprotected eyes. The book is certainly worth its price.

This is one of the most beautiful books one can ever read. "LLanto por Ignacio Sanchez Mejias" is a very powerful poem. The strong rhythm will dazzle you. "Romancero Gitano" is written with an eloquent spirit and you will enjoy it as much. I strongly recommend this book and any of Lorca's works.

This work by Lorca fortifies and makes the poetry richer. It gives it emotional, moral, and mental strength absent in the literary works of the late 19th and the early 20th century.

Esta segunda parte de la historia es mucho mejor de lo esperado y consigue que entres en un mundo donde los dragones se han extinto, y el último de ellos lucha, con la ayuda de un shek y un unicornio, a salvar al mundo de Idhun, el mundo de los tres soles y las tres lunas, y la unión de Kirtash, Victoria y Jack, es su fuerza, pero tambien puede llegar a ser su mayor debilidad....
Actualmente me encuentro leyendo la ultima parte de la historia, es un libro que vale la pena tener, no es otro cuento de fantasía, tiene sus bases, sus dioses, su historia bien relatadas, quizá llegaría a ser un gran film. 100% recomendable!

I read the first book while doing an internship at a publishing company. Right away I became involved with the characters. I ordered the second book not long after finishing the first, and it took nearly a year to arrive. The wait was worth it.

I recommend this young adult fantasy to anyone who has a passion for dragons, unicorns and the fantastical.

Excelente libro. Me devore cada pagina por lo interesante de la trama y su narrativa. Lo recomiendo.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez nos impresiona con su gran abilidad de narrar los hechos que estremecieron a Colombia al principio de los años 90. ¡Se los recomiento a todos!

Like most banjo tab, it will take some practice to get these tunes up to speed but if you enjoyed the Old and in the Way" album like I do it'll be worth it. Alan Dalton did a great job in figuring out Jerry's licks. Some folks say that Jerry wasn't a good banjo player but I wish I could play as well as him with having all my fingers. If you go ahead and buy this book you should try to find the Old and in the Way CD so you can hear the light at the end of the tunnel :)

Let me start by saying that I am not really a Deadhead. However, I love Jerry Garcia's banjo style and I am a beginner banjo player. Therefore, I was excited to see that Alan Dalton tabbed out these tunes and made them available in this cool book/CD package. The Tabs are exactly what Jerry plays and they produce a cool & unique vibe after lots and lots of practice. (did i mention that it takes LOTS and LOTS of practice?) The companion CD reallys helps the learning process. My favorite tab is Kissimmee Kid .

This is a wonderful story of a man who made a difference in many slaves' lives. The side by side English/Spanish text is beautifully written, and stays nondenominational, even though it is the story of the patron saint of slaves. The illustrations are also lovely, and both the text and pictures hold the attention of my antsy son. One of his favorite books, it is a deeply moving spiritual story that I recommend to all.

This is a terrific example of a spiritual book for kids. The poetic text rivals that of the secular classics, and the pictures are rich, textured, and deeply moving. Yet there's no overt message, no preaching, no denominational stand. It's just a wonderful book -- period.

Este libro encierra sentimientos que muchas veces guardamos desde nuestra infancia y estoy seguro que usted se sentirá identificado con alguno de los poemas. Pensará en alguna amistad, algún noviazgo; se recordará de aquellos gratos momentos de su niñez, llorará al recordar cosas de su pasado, o simple y sencillamente encontrará las palabras necesarias para conquistar ese romance.
