This is a wonderful and serious book by a great and well-respected writer. There is nothing more to add.

In this book, the Mathnet detectives are called to investigate a report of a haunted house. Movie star and comedienne Roscoe (Fatty) Tissue, who recently passed away and left the house to his parrot, Little Louie, owned the house. Fatty's thirteen-year-old neighbor Walter now takes care of Little Louie, who delivers the punch lines to jokes. Lately, Walter has been hearing noises in the upper levels of the house, so he is looking for some help. Fatty was also interested in mathematics, so he left a significant inheritance where the clues to finding it are mathematical in nature. The clues involve the Fibonacci numbers, and the Mathnet team successfully decodes them, finding the inheritance and a recorded message from Fatty.
This book is charming; the jokes are oldies, but still goodies. Most of them will be new to the middle school children that the book is targeted to. A small number of problems are given at the end of the book and solutions are included. It is an excellent book for late elementary or middle school children. It combines humor with the learning of mathematics, and that is a rare and enjoyable combination.

Originally published back in the 1980s, this is a very welcome re-print of a much-sought-after item that is essential reading for anyone interested in learning about the stories, rumors, legends and tales of so-called "Big Cats" on the loose, deep in the British countryside.

This book is so much fun and educational. Great for multiple ages and learning styles. It has beautiful pictures and easy to do projects with little preparation, but a lifetime worth of learning!

The field of psychoanalytical studies was formally institutionalised in the United kindom in 1988 (THERIP, 1994:1), through the higher Education Network for Research and Information in Psychoanalysis and its house journal, The Psychoanalysis Newsletter. The field has yet to be formalised in student textbooks. At present, students are directed to a sizeable and diverse range of books and papers, providing variously demanding treatments of theoretical and applied psychoanalysis. As such, the available literature remains scattered and difficult to assimilate. This book provides an excellent introduction to the broad field of applied psychoanalysis.

Although this book has been written by a number of authors, the editors have skilfully combined the chapters into a coherent whole. They and the other contributers are to be congratulated on a work of substance and importance - a testimony to the skill of a group of devoted psychoanalitically-orientated psychotherapists in Northern Ireland. This group has developed under the influence of Thomas Freeman, and he deserves special praise for the level of work he has fostered. From the Foreword by Joseph Sandler

cerebral palsy by frreeman miller i can consider it one of the most compehnsive textbooks in that field it helped me alot understanding and interpreting the different gait patterns in cp children and differnt management technique i may ask every orthopaedic surgeon dealing with cp childern to buy this book.

I wish this book would get reprinted so that fans of Corduroy could explore this lesser known work by the author. I loved this book as a child and was able to find an inexpensive library copy for my own children to enjoy. Each color works together to draw a picture of a boy on a desert island who gets rescued by a ship. This is a nice story that teaches colors with an adjunct lesson in cooperation and working together to find a solution to a problem. Good luck finding a copy!

This is a wonderful chemistry text book. It is very easy to read, extremely clear about concepts, and provides lots of examples to teach you how to solve problems. It has an excellent introductory section that reviews everything you (should have) learned in high school. The authors are very rigorous about using proper terminology and symbols in keeping with chemistry standards. The publisher has an excellent web site to use along with the text. If you want to learn chemistry, this is the perfect book to choose.

I've got a copy of this book and it is really helpful. The only thing is that you can go down to your local NAPA or parts house and get it alot quicker than from amazon, and probably cheaper too! I sure did. Amazon waited over a month to tell me this was not available through them after I ordered it. So my advice is to go through your local auto parts dealer or Barnes and Noble, definatelly NOT amazon.

If you own a later-model Saturn (1995 or newer), this is the manual you want to buy. The Haynes guide is only good through 1994, and it's not as detailed as the Chilton's manual. No offense to the good folks at Haynes, but as far as Saturn manuals goes, these guys have you beat. With all the things that go wrong with Saturns (yes, I'm one of the few Saturn owners who thinks the car is a typical GM piece of junk), a shop manual like this is a must have.
