I am a recently divorced father and pay child support for 2 children. I just read your second book, MOMS SAVING MONEY....my ex-wife has all of your books and I ended up with one of them when I moved out of the family home..... I found a simple but life- changing idea in your book that has literally rescued my sanity. Since I do support my family monetarily, there is little left over for me so I have had to rent a bedroom with a bath in the home of a very nice family. However, going into their private kitchen I felt awkward as well as coming into the front or back door, etc. . Then I read about the twins' father's idea of how to make any bedroom and a bath into a little efficiency apartment. I think this tip was to help make added income but it saved my life. I used the "boards and blocks" tips and created a little kitchenette in my bathroom (to be near running water )by buying a small microwave and a small ref........I painted the concrete blocks black and bought the white laminte boards at my local lumber store which were very inexpensive, stacked them into the configuaration I wanted ( not even using mortar since it is small) and now I have my own little bachelor pad! I even asked the owners if I could put the window in my bedroom on hinges as long as the look of the window didn't change....I used a piano hinge....the window is low to the floor and now I have a seperate little entrance and can come and go as I please!.....thanks, twins.....you write tips that only people on a severe budget would understand! I love you guys! Happy Tim

This book contains detailed scale patterns for dozens of 1:12 scale miniature furnishings and toys. Many are scaled replicas of antique furnishings which once stood in the Mott Family home. Others are designs for miniatures seen in their world famous Mott's Miniature Musuem in California.
In the front of the book is a handy guide which reviews hobby tools, woods and glues to use with miniature furniture projects. There is also a beginners section which covers some of the basic miniature wood carving techniques before you get into the projects. Advanced miniaturists can bypass this section.
In the back of the book are 6 pages of full color lithographs which are applied to some of the projects. The original artwork for this colorwork was hand drawn and hand colored by Barbara Mott.
This 1995 release is the second revised edition of the original book first released in 1978.

A great story that my 2 1/2 daughter LOVES. She can virtually recite the entire book and really enjoys the characters. Breakspear is a great addition too, especially when he's towed behind her long board!
My kids can't wait to see what will happen next!

This book cleverly builds suspense and fun with each page. Ms. Armitage is not your stereotypical surfer by any means, and the more unusual she becomes, the more you like her. The illustrations are delightful, too.

I received this book as a gift from a friend. My husband and I use it as part of our daily devotional together. Our hearts are touched by the beauty in the photographs and inspiring messages, which bring us closer to God. How God speaks to us through nature is truly amazing. We are currently ordering several more of these books to give to our children and dearest friends so they too can grasp how big God really is.

It was a privilege to work with Adrian Rogers before his passing on this book, along with photographer Tom Fox. I put my heart into it with the prayer that others would discover God's hope. This is a beautiful coffee table book that will bless whoever picks it up. Enjoy and may God bless you in the reading of it.

Tom and His Aunt Bundlejoy Cozysweet have an adventure in his frog and Aunt Fidget Wonkham Strong Najork arm wrestles the Headmistress for good Captain Najork.
This is indeed a very fun and visually enjoyable book to read either quietly to yourself or out loud. I brought it in to share with my preschool group, and those that loved the story, love to hear it over and over again or to just sit and look at the pictures. I've shared both this book and How Tom Beat Captain Najork and his hired sportsmen with the children several times and will need to purchase a new copy, this one is falling apart now from the love.
Highly recommended for it's unique enjoyable and fun flare.

The infamous Captain Najork, now married to Tom's hideous Aunt Fidget, is in trouble. Aunt Fidget believes that he is canoodling with the strong-armed headmistress of the local girls' school. Tom, his new aunt Bundlejoy Cosysweet, and the jam-powered frog are instrumental in the clash-of-the-titans arm wrestling contest which decides the Captain's fate -- one of the most heart-wrenching scenes in children's literature.
As good as it is for silent reading, this book is a delirious treat to read out loud.

The Truth About the Spanish Heritage

This is an excellent book! It was written more than ten years ago by a Latin who is obviously an Anglophile. He goes to the origins of English and Spanish character traits, the origins of Latin American dislike of things U.S. and makes a very compelling case that those countries of Spanish origins, due to their heritage, have and will have a very hard time developing in our changing world. It is not politically correct but it is real. A must read for those trying to understand why everything south of the Rio Grande is so terrible.
For those interested, read Carlos Alberto Montaner and Octavio Paz, one Cuban the other Mexican (1990 Nobel Prize winner for literature, actually poetry) for similar views from authors who are not enamored of the Anglo-American world.

This novel take on the comparative economic fortunes of the north and south should encourage other scholars to focus on questions of economic culture. Too much work in Latin American studies is carried out from within a structuralist paradigm, yielding the same stale conclusions. Veliz' insistence that we cannot overlook cultural factors is timely and apt.
The book is well written and meticulously documented.

This book is a "must read" for ALL women-Grandmas, Moms, Sisters, Friends, & Moms-To-Be! It is a quick-read, great for the beach or your baby's naptime. I loved the characters & how they each developed during Emily's journey from "before children" & forward through "motherhood". I could relate to just about everything she was going through & it made me feel "normal" despite our similar issues. Reading Elaine D. Fox's book was like relaxing with a glass of wine & having a fabulous "Girls Night Out." A great book to buy for your family & friends!

No One Should Get Pregnant Alone is a heartwarming, humorous look at infertility, marriage and family. I loved the well written characters and found the story to be both compelling and haunting. I laughed out loud several times while reading this novel and was brought to tears as well. Elaine D. Fox is a fresh voice in the Chick Lit genre. This book is a great read for women of all ages-- it isn't just for women going through infertility, although they will find this novel particularly timely and poignant. I loved this book! I am going to buy it for my mother and sister!

Back cover reads:
Wade had come to take her back to Texas
Just before his death, Joanna's father had put Wade Hollister in charge of his ranch and all his financial assets. He'd also given Wade his daughter.
Joanna, an insecure, overweight seventeen-year-old, had fled. Now, three years later, Wade stood in her doorway--the epitome of the understated millionaire rancher.
Joanna guessed she'd always known he'd come for her eventually. But she wasn't going to kid herself. His presence was strictly business--the only fantasies and sappy emotions involved would be her own.
