Although Amy Keating Rogers was not the writer of the episode Bloo Done It, she did a fine job penning this junior novellization of it. Bloo is just as funny here as he is on screen, and the suspense of the episode is wonderfully portrayed. One might not even miss Bloo sprouting an Inspector Gadget-esque helicopter from his head or Frankie speaking with a Southern accent.

It's a beloved book,I'm sure, nobody can stop reading it! I loved it very much. But in the two first chapters,I was really bored but when I started reading the third chapter,I just couldn't put it down. This book was different from the other books.I've never read a book that the hero doeasn't want to become friend with his new family.
Adam was a boy who had lost his mother about 3 years ago and his father were in Australlia with his new wife,Rubby. Adam went to Dark Family farm-house. They were 3 children, with their family. The boy who was the age Adam, was named Richard.
One day the boys found a fox,and all their problem started from that day. They had to feed the fox but they didn't have enough money. They couldn't tell it to their dad because he had killed a female fox just last night. But this made them become friends, they talked eachother more and Adam behaved in a better manner from that time. At the end they brought the fox to their family. The rain would made the fox die if it still would asleep in the old bridge. They had trained him very much and he was smart. But Darks understood that they were wrong and he was a dog! The boys kept him home forever.Their dad found a good way for his job not to get bankrapted. They started farming again, with a rich capitalist man.And Adam decided to be Adam Dark forever,no more Adam Hewitt!

Wow! The author D. Felecia Walker is an walking example of a woman after God's own heart. I'm still on a spiritual high from reading this book. Mrs. D. Felecia Walker has really made a great impact in my life.

She shared with the reader unconditional love that she has for her husband and her friend in spite of her husband's life style. She continued to love him no matter what.

She showed us in the book, "From Better to Worse" to trust in the Lord and lean not to our own understanding, in all our ways acknowledge Him, He will direct our path. She had faith in God and didn't question why this was happening to her and her family. She trusted God.

She made safrices to keep her family together. The sacrifice was keeping the secret of her husband's lifestyle and this disease AIDS/HIV to herself, she went through this painful situation alone; she didn't have an outlet or anyone to cry out to but God. She made the sacrifice to keep this from her children and all those that was dear to them from knowing about this devastating disease until after his death. She chose to go through this thing for better to worse.

Given the fact that I was a kaamaaina (local of the Hawaiian islands) for a few years, I thought I'd never use a travel guide for Hawaii. When we were planning for our anniverary trip to Hawaii this fall, we decided to look into a few guide books so we can use it to suppliment our knowledge of the islands. This book is so well-organized by categories, we ended up using its maps and recommendations for eateries and restaurants daily. On top of that, we saved so much money on food and we also got to eat at all the places the locals eat! Having the book made our trip worry-free! We definitely recommend this book for all those who plan to visit the Hawaiian islands!

We have just returned to the mainland from our first ever trip to Hawaii. We stayed at a wonderful B & B on Oahu, where we found the Frommer's guide to Honolulu, Waikiki and Oahu along with many other guide books, but we found it to be the best. This book was a fabulous guide, with all the maps and notes of places to go and things to see. We used it like a bible. It helped to make our trip very memorable.

I have read all of the Popes
books and all of his works as Karol Wojtyla including his poetry.I have also
read most of his encyclicals and Apostolic letters. Many of his books
including "Crossing the threshold of Hope" and the new one"Rise, let us be
going" I would not give them to anybody to read.To me they are very pedantic and
also not surprisingly, Pontifical. They lack the intimacy of his books as
Karol Wojtyla.Like Rocco Buttiglione I am convinced that he is the most
revolutionary thinker of our times, but without his prepapal works I would
never agree. His "Personalism" is just amazing and I believe that the world
is about 50 years away from discovering it.Like the Summa of St Thomas which
was not fully appreciated until about 200 years after his death. The book
that best unites Wojtyla and John Paul is this one "Be not Afraid".It is
basically a conversation between a French Philosopher called A Frossard and
His Holiness. It took place in Castelgandolfo one summer in 1982 and has a
very relaxed tone. The Pope is both candid and also very respectful of the
questions put to him.He deals with 1.His Person 2.The Church 3.Morals 4.The
World and 5.The Assasination attempt.Throughout the book you feel that this
is a very ordinary man that is speaking, and not speaking
ex=cathedra.Ordinary through his Humility and sense of solidarity with
others. He transforms the entire dialogue though with his approach to
difficult questions. He is the one and only person that I have ever read that
introduced true virtue to the problems of the intellect and the World. The
virtue that he introduces is Patience. He is so expansive in his replies and
so considerate of opposing views that you cant help but admire him.It is
also a very deep book for those new to the language as I was when I read it
first. The months that I spent in his company through this book are like a
golden period of my life now.I mean this without any exaggeration ,but I
have never felt closer to another human being as I did to him through this
dialogue.I was coming from a totally agnostic mentality and full of
scepticism. The book is almost impossible to get and I know as I have spent 3
years telling others to buy it.It is probably the greatest
course of Catholic Apologetics ever given. It is sublime and also very down
to earth. It is from this book that i came to believe that human knowledge no
matter how great is no match for the mind open to illumination by God.And I
have never read any thing that was so full of the gifts that God may give as
in this book. The Holiness of the Pope is palpable in this book and I refuse to accept that someone is a true scholar of Wojtyla who has not read this.Buy it and enjoy it.

Antique Music Box

"This tiny candlelit dining room has no menu - instead, choose from raw ingredients brought directly to your table then cooked to order. Offerings change daily, but the heavenly results - succulent lobster with spicy Parmesan sauce, Chinese noodles with smoked fish in a saffron-mastic infusion - have made it a perennial favorite. Service is impeccably personal and the check arrives in an antique music box."

Of all the guides I've seen for Athens, this one has some very unique and cozy recommendations for restaurants. If you are going to Athens as much for the food as the architecture, this guide will gives you "the draw," "the scene," and a "hot tip" for each restaurant. Reading through the downtown attractions, you feel you are truly there because the descriptions are so detailed.

The main sections include information on art spaces, beaches, seasonal highlights, cafes, candlelit bars, classic dining, hotels, places by the sea, clubs, rooms with views, shows under the stars and tables with a view. Four sections about the Athens Experience presents opportunity for either a Classic Athens tour, Hot-and-Cool Itinerary, Downtown Athens visit, By-the-Water Athens escape.

Delphi, Napflion, Olympia, Thessaloniki and the Wineries of Attica are also featured. The Ilands: Hydra, Mykonos, Rhodes, Santorini and Skiathos are briefly discussed and given a few pages each.

This book contains some of the best food/travel writing I've seen in a long time. The Fun Seeker's Athens is worth buying for the writing style and cozy suggestions! Reading this guide will make you wonder why you are still at home! They make Athens sound like the place to be, so romantic.

It was in reading this book out of my public library, when I was about 12 years old, that I got thoroughly and irrevocably hooked on 19th-Century social history and the study of the material artifacts our ancestors used on a daily basis. When I found it in the secondhand bookstore where I was working 10 years later, I snatched it so fast I'm surprised my boss didn't hear a sonic boom! Foster-Harris covers everything from the uniforms of the Civil War veterans who rushed westward after Appomattox in search of a new life, through the weapons they carried, the transportation they made use of, the trails they followed, the homes they built--almost anything you might want to know about--and provides simple but clear illustrations to help you visualize what he's talking about. Some of his "facts," as I've come to learn by checking other sources, aren't quite accurate: he claims, for example, that Western women "never" wore pants or rode astride, but my research has shown that even Eastern females admitted that "these pioneer Western women are of a different breed," and saw no scandal in their riding "Indian-style" (as straddle was delicately called at the time); Mark Twain in his letters tells of at least one maverick lady he knew in the Comstock, and many women who dressed and lived in masculine style, Calamity Jane and "Mountain Charley" Pankhurst not the least, are historically substantiated. But for sheer material detail, his book is hard to beat, and it should be found on the shelf of everyone who writes about, or is curious about, the way Westerners lived in the heyday of the free range.
