Changed my life!!!!!Review Date: 2006-01-14
I cannot tell you how many hours I spent reading this book, feeling emotionally naked and vulnerable - as if Mark Waldman himself had ripped away the veil of control I'd maintained in order to hide my shame, and looked deep into the pit of my soul.
Sure...I cried. I'm not ashamed to admit it. It is frightening to awake from a deep sleep and suddenly see life's infinite possibilities. The purr of a kitten. The gentle hum of a bee. The freedom from debt.
Thank you Mr. Waldman for writing this book. It has become my bible, offering rescue from so much more than just student loans. I wish I could share this book with all the children of the world. I'm quite sure the world would be a better place if I could.
Love,
Ted Meisel

Instructional, Entertaining Guide to Successful LivingReview Date: 1998-12-18
Henry E. Ford is a living example. Through belief in himself and by taking action, today he's an accomplished author and motivational speaker. In his books, SUCCESS IS YOU, and its follow-up study, THE POWER OF ASSOCIATION; Mr. Ford has documented the journey of his achievements, and shares them with the world.
In SUCCESS IS YOU, Mr. Ford emphasizes the importance of being your own cheerleader. He says, ". . . give yourself a standing ovation." Only you know your talents and goals. Express them. Don't be afraid to let people know who you are, and where you're headed.
Throughout his journey, Mr. Ford has encountered skeptics and critics. He says, "Today I view them as having one more wrong opinion." When others tried to define him and limit his goals through Aptitude Test results, he discovered, "If I truly cannot do something, I'll find out. So I no longer need the services of an aptitude test maker. They're fired. I don't need him or her if I want a reason to succeed, I only need them if I'm looking for a reason to fail."
While Mr. Ford advises prudence and cautions against taking wild chances, he does promote risk taking. In SUCCESS IS YOU, he says, "Living itself is a risk, so as long as you plan on staying, you might as well take some calculated risk . . . it's only safe in the cemetery." Regarding taking action, he suggests, " . . . the difference in the winners and losers in life is the action they take or fail to take in their own behalf."
In the game of life he challenges the reader to play the best you can. Mr. Ford coaches, "Life will not feel sorry for you if you give up . . . no one can pitch hit for you . . . you are the entire team . . . you must throw life your best pitch."
Mr. Ford has the unique ability to instruct by using his own example. He has walked-the-walk, thus has earned the credentials to talk-the-talk. Like a scientist he has examined the process and shares his results in SUCCESS IS YOU. Through volunteerism Mr. Ford mentors others and counts motivational speaker/writer Les Brown, and Dr. Robert Lawson, author of DESTINED FOR GREATNESS, among his most valued mentors. Add Mr. Ford to your personal list of mentors today by buying and reading this sensational book.
You will discover that "Life is a journey, not a destination . . . success is a way of behaving, a way of living . . . YOU have a meeting scheduled with success."

Supercharge Your ImmunityReview Date: 2001-01-31
Our immune systems are our first defense against any type of illness and people with strong immune systems are generally healthier than those with weak systems. Medical researchers have developed many techniques for strengthening immune systems and Ford has "put them all together to combine the powers of body, mind and nutrition into a single comprehensive program specifically designed to bolster immunity."
He adds that his immune boosters are "do-it-yourself strategies [that] embrace virtually every promising natural therapy through which you can heal and empower your immunity." All the current natural techniques have been summarized and combined into groupings that maximize their benefits. Specific sections include overcoming insomnia, fighting off colds and infections, and defeating anxiety and depression.
Ford describes, in understandable layman's terms, what the immune system is and how it works. One chapter is devoted to explaining how cancer overwhelms the immune system, with suggestions on how to "cancer-proof your body." His immune boosters are divided into three sections: "Nutritional: Eating for Peak Immunity"; "Physical: Using the Body to Revitalize Your Immunity"; and "Psychological: Don't Let Stress Trash Your Immune System." Each section includes general background information, as well as specific suggestions.
He discusses herbs, minerals, and vitamins in the nutritional section, as well as presenting information about which diets work and why. Physical immune boosters include how to exercise for maximum benefit (overexercise can suppress your immunity), protecting yourself from sun damage, and coping with allergies. The psychological section concentrates on overcoming stress and depression.
All of Ford's tips are natural, and most are very simple. They are based on what Ford calls "action therapy." He says they "require you to use your mind and muscles to do what it takes to succeed in revving up your immunity. Action therapy requires you to take an active role in rejuvenating your immune system."
Supercharge Your Immunity is Ford's seventh book on natural ways to become and stay healthy. Those wishing to protect themselves from illness will find Supercharge Your Immunity invaluable.

A Wonderful Read of NY State HistoryReview Date: 2004-11-13
A proud heritage is revealed on the blue and gold signs that dot NY highways, but Mr. Ford has gone far deeper to reveal to us how people from Elizabeth Blackwell to Bonapart have shaped NY State's history. He includes the Iroquois Confederacy, the Women's Rights Movement, the Civil War and much more, all which make New York a great place to live.
Most important are the many unknown people who we ought to know about, where they came from and what they contributed to our nation and state. Sure Signs is a sure pleasurable read. History buffs can learn more from Mr. Ford's reasearch than they can by reading academic books that lack detail only a lover of history can find.

Take Me As I Am by Angeleque FordReview Date: 2008-05-15
Jay Black is an Afro American disk-jockey; he has a night show with his best friend Pandora and one night he says online that he is still grieving from an heartbreak three years old. A caller proposes him a one night stand, only sex, not string attached. But when he meets the man, behind insistence of his friend Pandora, he discovers that the man is his ex lover Darrius (actually I didn't understand if also Darrius is an Afro American man, he is decipted with honey skin... not that matters, but a gay couple plus an interracial relationship I think have more trouble than not). Darrius is ready to admit that he misses Jay and he wants to give another chance to their relationship. But even if Jay has forgiven Darrius, he can't forget: Darrius cheated on him with a woman, and this, according to me, has opened the mythical Pandora's vase... Jay is not more sure that he is the right man for Darrius, cause maybe he thinks that Darrius doesn't want a man at all. Plus is it true that Jay threw Darrius out of their home, but probably he thought that the man was willing to fight for them, and instead Darrius moved on another city, and now, three years later, he wants to mend the things between them? Oh no, dear Darrius, you are a bit late according to Jay
So, in the end, I didn't know on what side I was; it was like a tennis match and I was the ball. Once I was by Jay's side, and I thought, "Oh that Darrius, grrr, what a CHEATING man", and then I was by Darrius' side and thought, "Oh Jay, how can you not be a bit less stubborn, don't you see I love you?".
Unfortunately the book ends quite abruptly and I still haven't decided who had the match point...
