I had to have this book for college this year. There aren't too many college books I keep but this one I will be. It is a thin book but jammed pack with information. Very condensed. He uses his words well, no fluff. If this book didn't cost so much I would buy tons to hand out to clients. Everyone needs this book. You can buy a book on shyness, or emotional iq. However since he uses his words well you don't need to buy another book on these topics. On the inside of the book it lists reviewers and one of them happens to be my teacher this quarter; Tammy Ruff. She is an awesome teacher as well. I have to put her as one of my favorites in my whole college career.

Buy the book and experience the change in your life. You don't need to go to school to read this book.

I'd have given it 6 stars if it had color photos. This is an indispensable reference for anyone interested in vintage Ford and Fordson farm tractors. Plenty of details and b/w photos illustrating the details of each model and a chronological listing of model year changes. This is the one I reach for for quick, accurate information. A wealth of historical data in an easy-to-use format. A great companion to Pripps' "Vintage Ford Tractors," this one can go with you to the tractor auction.

Dr.Desmond Ford, the worlds foremost authority on the book of Daniel,is at his absolute best here.Dr.Ford asserts and gives evidence that Daniel 9:24-27,the "Seventy Sevens" prophecy, is the basis for faith,in a rational sense, that God is alive and Jesus Christ is our only hope.Dr.Ford explains that only Jesus could have fulfilled the requirements of the prophecy concerning "Messiah the Prince",and that Daniel 9:24-27 is the basis for the Apostle Paul's great doctrine of "justification by faith".

This is a great easy-to-read book by a real master. He presents the material in a digestible manner. Nothing too "Zenny" to handle. I really enjoyed reading it at night before bed. I often go back to it when I want some really light reading that has a profound meaning for my day.

This is an excellent book on inclusion! It touches on restructuring of schools, relationships, curriculum modification, behavior management, and an appendix full of additional resources. Good for any regular or special educator.

An Inside Look (Literally!) at the Tin Goose
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 1 total.
Review Date: 2007-06-27
I am a life-long lover of airplanes and have owned many books on the subject. The interesting thing is that the first book I purchased with my own money was this one; I have owned my well-worn copy for nearly three decades and it's defintely a keeper. If you love old airliners in general and the Ford Tri-Motor in particular, this is definitely a book to own. You will learn all the details that lie under the plane's corrugated aluminum-alloy skin.

Part I contains general information about the operation and maintenance of the Ford Tri-Motor, along with specifications and equipment available for the various models of the Tin Goose.

Part II discusses the shipment of the aircraft and provides instructions for starting the Wright Whirlwind or Pratt & Whittney Wasp engines. What makes this section interesting is how it shows (in pictures as well as words) how the plane was built.

Part III covers service instructions to the fuselage, wings, tail surfaces, wheels, brakes, and surface controls. Again, the pictures show interesting views of the plane's construction.

Part IV describes the plane's fuel system. Though this part is somewhat technical, there are some nice pictures of those big round engines.

Part V discusses the electrical system - generators, magnetos, and lights. Yes, the plane was available with a battery for electric starting, even back in 1929.

Part VI covers the navigation and engine instruments. Here is where you get to see the cockpit, complete with dual steering columns and wheels taken right off the Ford Model T production line!

Part VII gives an overview of inspecting the plane. The Ford Tri-Motor really set the standards for the operations and safety of commercial airliners.

The book ends with some old black-and-white pictures of 4-AT and 5-AT Tri-Motors, including one of N8407, which was heavily damaged in a tornado. That aircraft was subsequently restored by the Experimental Aircraft Association and is one of only three flying examples (as of 2007) left in the world. My only complaint about this book is that there are no pictures of the cabin, especially a comparison of the original wicker seats and the later ones of aluminum and leather. What this book does offer is an inside look (quite literally) of the Tin Goose. While it does not contain glossy pictures of the aircraft, it does make a nice supplement to more throrough coverage provided in such books as the one by William T. Larkins.

A Detailed Look at a Classic and Much-Loved Aircraft
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2007-01-19
If you are seeking a book with sexy glossy pictures of shiny restored Trimotors, you won't find them here. What you get is a detailed nuts-and-bolts (quite literally!) study of the Ford Trimotor, a tour of the flight deck, cabin, the mighty and reliable Wright J-5 Whirlwind engines, and even under the corrugated metal skin. Specifications of all kinds are given, for the Model 4AT and all its variants. This little book packs in almost enough information to operate or rebuild one of these classics.

Anyone with an interest in this classic airliner, as well as model builders, would do well to acquire and savor this volume, an excellent buy for the price.
