Ford Books

Robben Ford is one of the top guitarists in the world! He's not about shredding a billion notes like some but really PLAY's! He blends Jazz riffs into the Blues and comes out with something that is totally unique... the Robben Ford sound. This has saved me tons of time ...not having to transcribe some of the songs I love... like 'Cannonball Shuffle'. Definitely for the advanced player... reading music... a huge help here.

I highly recommend this set for an in-depth look at what is truly the foundation of our country. If you are at all interested in where we came from as a nation and where we are going, you need this set. I am not a real legal/political kind of guy but I am moved by the legitimacy of going back and taking a common sense look at the great documents of our history and see what they meant and how they have been ignored for years to get us into the mess we're in today.

This book is a great addition to the reading of the Bible in the home. Each chapter is summarized by a brief four-line poem. The meter is simple and the rhyming often predictable. But Mr. Ford's object was to make the content of each Bible chapter easier to learn and recall.

My family, each evening, gathers around the table where we take turns reading verses through one chapter of the Bible. We discuss its meaning and relevance to our lives. Then we read the poem for that chapter from Mr. Ford's book as a summary of what we've read. His rhymes are sometimes witty, but always true to the accounts of Scripture.

This book is also a source of family fun as we read several of his rhyming lines and leave out the last work of the rhyming second line and have the others guess the rhyming word.

In summary, while this book is not meant to be (nor could it be) a replacement for the Book of books, the Bible, it is a great companion to it. It encourages learning and enjoyment of the Scriptures.

"Boat Green: 50 Steps Boaters Can Take To Save Our Waters" is a list of many, many easy tasks for nautical enthusiasts to perform that will do the following things: reduces the cost of boating, improves your boats performance, and enhances ones enjoyment of the marine environment - and all of them improve the health of the waters in the process. If you're a boat lover and want to keep your roads clean, safe, and clear for yourself and future generations, there's little reason not to pick up "Boat Green: 50 Steps Boaters Can Take to Save Our Waters" - also recommended for community library boating collections with a cross over to the environmental studies shelves.

There was nothing in this book that I could argue/disagree with, not because of personal belief or opinion, but because it represents the inherent truth of life. This book is about enlightenment/awakening, but it's not exactly promoted as such. It was a joy to read, and the sense of lightness/calmness it inspired inside me was notable.
It wasn't like the "Non-dual" books out there that tend to give people a confusing mind f**k and then leave them depressed and dismayed because they cannot understand what these ppl are talking about, or are upset with themselves for not living in the way that these "teachers" do....Don't get me wrong, there are some excellent books on nonduality from true "teachers", but there are also many wacked out ppl who are under the false impression that they speak the truth of "enlightenment", when they are under the premature assumption they "made it".
I would love to see more from Mr Ford(books, videos, CDs) just so that the message contained in this book is able to penetrate further through the veil of my mind...if not, I will continue to read this book so that I don't "forget".
I would honestly put this book up there with Eckhart Tolle's The Power of Now and Byron Katie's Loving What is, for the simple fact that the message is so clear and not packed with any "New Age" BS.
I love this book, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to live the truth rather than live in the painful "fantasy"/illusion that most of us live in.

I loved this book.

Ford successfully explains how to show bottom-line results for the five phases of improving human performance - analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The text is divided into these five areas with detailed information on how to implement each. Definitions clarify subtle differences, such as the difference between needs analysis and needs assessment. Comparisons of widely accepted practices are also helpful in allowing the reader to select the best method for their project. This book is a "must" on every trainer's/performance analyst's shelf!

Funny, funny, funny. What surprised me most was finding out it was based on actual events (meaning that they did go on a camping trip). I enjoy everytime I listen to it.
