Pink Floyd Book-Jason RichReview Date: 2006-04-16
Though it's a small package, the book includes a reasonably comprehensive history of the band, a chronological summary, and a discography at the end.
The book is filled with pictures, and the pictures alone are worth the roughly US$8 price tag. There are a ton of shots of the band members, showing them at various stages in their career.
The book is published by Carlton Books Limited and as mentioned above, sells for about US$8.
This is a small book about a great band.Review Date: 1999-03-26

The Red Knight of Germany: The Story of Baron von RichthofenReview Date: 2002-09-07
To begin, I can honestly classify this title as simply an excellent read. Gibbons succeeds in giving a full recollection of the occurances during the life of Richthofen, and the respect the author had for Richthofen is apparent throughout the book. It is written with the same views that I believe the pilots of the time would have had pertaining to aerial warfare, or flight alone. The romantic aspects of flight, which were held in higer regard in the times of elegant, open cockpits and gallant pilots than it is today, the book unfolds in a more-than-satisfying manner the events leading up to, and including, Richthofen's time as an aerial fighter. The book includes excerpts from Richthofen's own accounts of the war, through letters to his mother, the official requests for acknowledgement for many of the victories he attained, and quotes. Certainly the book is worthy of much more praise than I am able to give in a short review such as this. For anyone even remotely interested in the early days of Aerial warfare, and of course of special interest to those interested in the history of Germany's Ace of Aces.
First isn't the best.Review Date: 2000-04-17

Review of "Tales from the Boudior"Review Date: 2008-02-17
The "heroine" is a bed named "Le Lit" who lives vicariously through the people whom she comes in contact with, for instance by falling hopelessly in love with one of her owner's romantic conquests, before eventually finding her own way.
Denise has left an opening at the end of the book for a sequel; "a new beginning."
I would be interested in seeing a smoother transition between fantasy and real life now that Le Lit has matured and learned so much from her experiences in the "Boudoir".
"Tales" is very rich with French culture that at times puts me in mind of Danielle Steel. I give it three stars because I believe that if Denise continues to explore this realm, an existence that defies natural logic, then I can see the potential of a work in not unlike "The Chronicles of Narnia" by C.S. Lewis, in her future.

This book is the typical "revivalistic approach" that one would expect from a non-Reformed author. Ronnie Floyd has spoken in several Promise Keepers conferences to "fire up" the crowd into becoming "committed Christians." While this book is well-written to help the Christian to live more fruitfully and obediently in Christ, better is Donald Whitney's, "Spiritual Growth Of The Christian."
