But yes, the wild is the best way to explain this as the fantasy infusion pumps madly into tales of prophecies and battles.
It's juicy, macabre, and lots of fun, just as I have come to expect from this author.

Cirque Du Freak is a great book because it has great suspense and charactersReview Date: 2007-12-03
Cirque Du Freak has great characters because Mr. Crepsley is not a normal mentor he is a VAMPIRE mentor. He is a vampire and Darren is a half vampire. Mr. Crepsley blooded Darren. Steve was Darren's best friend until Darren "betrayed him". Steve thinks Darren became a vampire to stab Steve in the back because Steve's dream was to be a vampire and Darren stole his dream from him.
Cirque Du Freak is a very suspenseful book. Darren Shan wrote, " Time seemed to collapse... There was a sharp sensation in my stomach... Steve crowed, " Now I have you! Now you're going to die."
There is no other series like this series. I highly recommend this series. If you read this series it will make only make sense if you read it in order.
cirque du freak hunters of the dusk Review Date: 2007-03-31
By: Darren Shan
The book that I read was Cirque Du Freak Hunters of the dusk. This book is about vampires and hoe they are at war with a different kind of vampire. The name for the different kind of vampires and called vampaneze.
I would recommend this book to a person who likes action and adventure books. This book is about three vampires that have to kill this vampaneze lord and they get four encounters with the lord and if they don't kill him the vampires will lose the war. The main character of the story is a half-vampire named Darren Shan. He has help by two full blooded vampires and a little person which is an undead.
If this book sounds interesting to you u I would recommend it it's a good book if you are interested in fiction books and you are interested in vampires before you read this book you should read the other six books before this one.

A sniper's view.Review Date: 2007-04-09
Mr.Roberts theory of "crossfire" or "triangulation of fire" is excellent, especially considering his military experience.
I think he may be correct about the location of the hit teams.
Were the hit teams made up of a Corsican assassin and a member of ZR/Rifle? The author isn't the only writer that has offered that theory.
Craig Roberts theory about what happened to the President's body aboard Air Force 1 is intriguing! His investigation into the aircraft and strange activity related to the flight was good also.
What is debatable is the identity of those responsible for the murder.
It seems most likely that the mafia was working with the CIA to committ the crime with J.Edgar Hoover working for the mafia to cover it up.
This book is worth reading for the insight offered by the author considering his experience and knowledge.
1 of the best books I have read on the subject.Review Date: 2007-12-20
""How in the world could anyone look at that {Zapruder} film and say that the fatal head strike had come from the rear? The so-called experts who stated that the rearward jerk of Kennedy's head was due to 'muscle reaction,' 'jet force from an erupting bullet' or some other violation of the laws of physics, had obviously never served in combat, where witnessing high-velocity bullet strikes was commonplace..."
"Some of the supporters of the Warren Commission...stated that the bullet came from the rear because the eruption of brain matter and blood came out of the front of the president's skull. I saw something else. In a head shot, the exit wound, due to the buildup of hydrostatic pressure, explodes in a conical formation in the down-range direction of the bullet. Yet in the Zapruder film, I could plainly see that the eruption was not a conical shape to the front of the limo, but instead was an explosion that cast fragments both up and down in a vertical plane, and side to side in a horizontal plane. There was only one explanation for this: an exploding or 'frangible' bullet. Such a round explodes on impact--in exactly the manner depicted in the film."

It is absolutely packed with info that we basically knew and then some that we really didn't know.
It is very well written and answers a multitude of questions that needed to be answered, no wonder the world will never know the truth about this and other things in world history that for the most part just gets brushed aside.
If you really want or need to know the truth then this is the book for you!

Where there's smoke, there's fire!Review Date: 2008-02-21
If you look at a magician, his primary purpose is not to entertain you with feats of magic, but more along the lines of deceiving you into believing that which he (the magician) presents to you as the truth and in doing so, makes you believe that which he wants you to believe. Actually I guess a better way of saying it is that the magician presents his deception to you in such a way that your subconscious convinces your consciousness to believe wholeheartedly in that which was presented to you by the magician. Now I know that this seems to be way of course with the subject matter of this review, but trust me, it is actually dead on.
Now we all know that a certain group, or collection, of individuals was responsible for the death of Kennedy. Now do we know for certain who they were and their names? No, but we do know that they did exist and I am sure that some of them may still be alive to this day, although the longer that time passes the greater the probability that they will expire from old age without every being tried for their crimes, at least as we know it.
Now if your ultimate goal is the eradication of a certain person, it really doesn't matter to you how that eradication takes place, or who does it, as long as the goal is accomplished. Of course you wouldn't want any of it traced back to you, which is why you want to have someone else do it. Or better yet, have someone else do it with a motive so far removed from your own that the odds of anyone even remotely suspecting you would be likened to the proverbial needle in a haystack and someone that will kill the person for you without even knowing that they did. All the time thinking that they were killing that person for their own reasons. Now to better enhance your chances of never being suspected, let's multiply that by several times and you now have a smokescreen of epic proportions with the finger pointing at several different organizations or persons with each one having a slightly different motive. None of which are even close to your own. See the beauty of it already?
In law enforcement there is an old saying that goes something like this, "If you want to find out who did it, follow the money." And that is exactly what the author does.
Let's look at the most common theories on who was responsible for killing Kennedy. Please take note that I did not say who killed Kennedy, but who was responsible for killing Kennedy. Remember what I said earlier about getting someone else to do it for you.
1. Lee Harvey Oswald - acting alone RIDICULOUS
2. The Mafia - NOPE
3. The CIA - NOPE
4. The Cubans - NOPE
5. The Russians - NOPE
6. Aliens from outer space - I KNOW REALLY RIDICULOUS, BUT AREN'T THE OTHERS JUST AS BAD!
Now I am not implying that some of these didn't have a role in it, I am just saying that they are not responsible for it. Who is? Well purchase this book and read it. I believe that if you do that, this book will more than answer that question.
All of those people and/or groups listed are merely the smoke, and you all know that where there's smoke there's fire, and this book shows you the fire.

A very honest and informative account on President KennedyReview Date: 2006-02-26
This detailed account covers his meetings with Premier Krushchev, how he dealt with South Vietnam, and the apparent sickness that came upon him after learning of the death of Ngo Din Diem. You also see that Kennedy was very much a womanizer, almost to the point of obsession it seems. This book deserves much attention, and for anybody who has never read about President Kennedy, an excellent start.

Scott is a weird character. I wear make up and dress up too, and honestly, I would get really freaked out if somebody was trying to kill me because of that.
i liked the characters. I liked how the relationship between Crystal and her sister Melinda is portrayed. And I liked how RL Stine gives us an insight to Scott's twisted mind.
I wouldn't recommend this book if you like suspense, but if you read for the plot and characters, you should definately read it.

It describes Scott, the boy next door, who is a mad killer, and three girls who are madly in love with Scott.
Scott is a truly creepy dude. He is a football star, but hates girls who wear makeup or dress skimply. In his mind, it is his duty to kill all the girls who do these rather normal things.
Scott is the whole point of this book, and Stine makes him a truly scary and mad character.

Stories for Children Magazine 5 Star ReviewReview Date: 2008-10-05
Ellen Tebbits is a third grade school girl who finally finds a best friend in Austine Allen, the new student in her class who has moved from California, primarily because the two share a terrible secret. In fact, the two become such close companions that they decide to dress as twins on the first day of fourth grade. Unfortunately, Mrs. Allen is not nearly as good a seamstress as Mrs. Tebbits, and Austine's dress looks terrible. The two argue about it, and thinking that Austine has untied her sash, Ellen slaps Austine in the face. Ellen wants desperately to be Austine's friend again and later finds out that it was actually Otis Spofford who untied her sash, but she is too proud to apologize to Austine. Will the two ever be able to make up?
I have read many of Beverly Cleary's books for children, and I will try to be honest. I really liked the three books about Ralph Mouse. The books about Henry Huggins are fairly good. The books about Ramona Quimby, two of which were Newbery Honor books, are, in my estimation, not as good, but they are still all right and probably appeal more to girls than boys. I did not care for the only book for which Clearly won the Newbery Award, Dear Mr. Henshaw. Personally, I thought that it was depressing, but a lot of people have found it useful. However, I did enjoy reading Ellen Tebbits. It presents a realistic picture of elementary school life and deals sensitively with some issues that children of that age face, yet is written in an interesting style that will capture the fancy of young readers.

'Ellen Tebbits' is a winner!Review Date: 2008-02-18
Ellen Tebbits had always been blessed with a best friend in the form of her next-door neighbor, Nancy Jane. But when Nancy Jane moves away, Ellen is left to her own devices. An only child, Ellen can't rely on hanging around with brothers or sisters, so must make do with entertaining herself - which proves harder than she'd ever imagined. All she truly wants is to have a best friend who lives on Tillamook Street, like herself, or somewhere close by. Enter Austine Allen. Austine Allen is a new girl from California who does nothing but talk about how wonderful the sunshine state where she grew up is. But she may just be the perfect recruit for Ellen's new best friend. After meeting in Mrs. Spofford's ballet class, Ellen and Austine realize that they have much more in common than they ever thought possible - including the fact that they're both forced to wear itchy, wool underwear during the chillier months. Hiding the same secret - about the wool underwear - is the ice breaker they both need to confide in one another; and, before they know it, Ellen and Austine are the best of friends. Everything they do, they do with one another - from riding horses, to baking brownies, and even clapping erasers at school. As if having someone by your side to experience all kinds of new things wasn't wonderful enough, Ellen learns that navigating the troubling waters of social situations and growing up is simplified when you have a best friend by your side - even putting up with pesky boys like the cowboy-clad Otis Spofford. But when Ellen does something unimaginable, Austine instantly stops speaking to her, and Ellen is unsure of how to get back on good terms with her one-time best friend. Now she's forced to come up with a plan to prove to Austine just how sorry she truly is, and win back her friendship. But she's quickly learning that saying sorry can be harder than she ever believed.
Beverly Cleary has imagination. But even more than imagination, she knows exactly how to weave tough situations - such as saying sorry and coming to terms with your mistakes - into words that are clear cut, concise, and easy-to-understand for the young/middle readers that her books are geared for. Which is exactly what she does within the pages of ELLEN TEBBITS. Cleary has created an assortment of characters who are humorous and fun, yet must face difficult decisions, and life-changing moments which are extremely relatable to readers. Ellen is an adorable character, whose passion for a best friend is appealing and fun. Her constant run-ins with the infuriating Otis Spofford provide moments of laugh-out-loud humor; while her friendship with Austine gives the reader an up-close-and-personal glimpse into a true friendship, and the turmoil that can accompany it. Once again, Cleary has crafted a children's novel that bridges gaps, and provides a little something for readers of all ages. ELLEN TEBBITS is a winner!

The younger readers who use our library quite like this book and the ones that come after it. It doesn't have much depth, though -- even for juvenile lit., the characters are somewhat flat, and the episodes tend to lurch toward their conclusions. Kids looking for another chapter book fix will probably read this and enjoy it, but it likely won't stay in their memory when it's over.

A mad little mouse goes to school...Review Date: 2008-09-20
Except that the students of Room 5 turns Ralph into a class project and an article in the town paper accuses the school of being infested with mice! And worst of all now Ralph's motorcycle is broken and he has no way to get back home.
Ralph S. Mouse is a classic kid's chapter book. While amusing at times I found Ralph to be pouty and selfish, not exactly a hero. Cleary does mention the reality of mice (being vermin and all), but doesn't quite manage to set Ralph apart, other than his intelligence and his abilities to ride a motorcycle and speak (but only to certain, lonely children).
My son enjoyed being read chapters of Ralph at night, but didn't connect with Ralph's pouting or anger. He was most interested in the beginning and the end, with a lull of interest in the surly middle parts.
Ralph would probably most interest children who are also feeling surly, angry, and like the world is against them. Its strength is in showing kids that they're not alone in those feelings and teaching them to look for ways to solve their problems, because they might not be as bad as it seems.
I like talking mouse booksReview Date: 2008-07-04
This book is meant for young readers, but is pretty interesting for an adult
to see the world from the point of view of a mouse.
This mouse talks , has a motor cycle and later a sports car.
He goes to school with his friend Ryan and learns as well as teaches
the children. A book for you four or five year old to read to them and
for your six and seven year to read for themselves maybe?
It is good because it doesn't offend the parents, much, ha, ha...

WHIMSY AND LIFE IN THIS READINGReview Date: 2007-02-23
Many children have grown up reading books by Beverly Cleary. They couldn't have better companions as this author's stories are warm, entertaining, and filled with ideas that young readers can wrap their minds around.
Some of our favorites are in the Ramona series, which were named Newbery Honor books and also adapted for television. So great is this author's popularity that her stories appear in 14 languages and her characters often become a part of our language. A case in point is Ralph S. Mouse whose adventures have been shown on ABC-TV.
In this particular story there is no longer peace and quiet at the Mountain View Inn where Ralph lives. His pal, the handyman, is in trouble because there are mice at the Inn, so Ralph thinks he'd best skedaddle.
Fortunately for Ralph he has some young friends, children who understand him. One of these is Ryan who agrees to take Ralph and his motorcycle to school with him. Just think of those polished floors on which Ralph can ride his motorcycle!
Unfortunately, his motorcycle is broken when Ryan and a classmate get into a shoving match. Further, Ralph is put on display. School isn't so great after all. What's a mouse, even one as smart as Ralph to do?
Actor B. D. Wong made his Broadway debut in M. Butterfly. For this performance he received the Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critics Circle Award, Clarence Derwent Award, and Theater World Award. He is the only actor to be so honored. He merits another shelf of awards for his narration of Ralph S. Mouse. He brings whimsy and life to his reading. For fans of Ralph, Mr. Wong also reads Mouse and the Motorcycle and Runaway Ralph.
All are highly recommended!

In Halloween Party there's a new girl in school named Justine and she is undoubtedly the hottest girl the boys have ever seen. They have all tried to get to know her but she brushes them off, all the girls want to be her friend for the obvious benefits of picking up the boys she brushes off. However they don't seem to be any more successful getting close to her than the boys are. So when Justine sends out invitations to nine of them (no partners aloud) to attend her Halloween party they sure aren't going to turn her down. She is very strict on the guest list, no one else can come and there seems to be no correlation between the guests, they are not part of one group, not all are friends, in fact some are even enemies. It seems a strange combination of potential friends or is it? As the party kicks off Justine and her uncle (the chaperone) have a lot of tricks in store for her guests. The wimps and jocks of the group also have a plan to scare each other. As the frights get more and more realistic and terrifying it seems someone is taking scaring the others to death rather literally!

The people who were invited all go to the party. It starts out with a lot of food, music, and fun. There are Halloween pranks. Are they for fun or for real? You will find out. You will also find out what the mystique is about this girl. You also find out why she invited these particular people; there actually was a reason.
R. L. Stine's Fear Street books are awesome. I have read many of them. Even though I am not a teen, I enjoy them. I don't think I will ever get too old for them. Sometimes we just need a fun, young, less serious book.
