I saw this on Amazon and wondered what it was like, so I picked it up.
This is an excellent book for the kids. Adapted from the movie, the book takes the reader through The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe from Susan's point of view and interjects what she may have been thinking along the way.
It also has black and white photos from the movie.

The first time I read this book was in the fifties, not a good time for women. It surfaced again in the early seventies,
only a slightly better time for women. Telling someone about W.C. Field's schedule for wife I retrieved this book to find
this "schedule." Women are much better off now in this 21st Century and we can laugh at this schedule and also Ben Franklin's
advice to a young man on choosing a mistress. We now thankfully have more control over our lives and our choices! The book
will give you a laff.

If your in business for yourself, even if you've been at it for years, the Tax Cut Coach provides great tips for writing off
everday transactions. I found the record keeping and direct links to the tax code very reassuring and helpful. The CDROM
provides an awesome "face" for the product. John Fitzgerald is really helpful for the every user. I understood it when I
was done. Thanks guys... Looking forward to the next edition.

TELLING TIME BY THE SHADOWS, a beautiful and stunning collection of poems of love and longing

John M. FitzGerald's TELLING TIME BY THE SHADOWS is an extraordinary and brilliant
collection of poems of love and longing, written at the dawn of a relationship.
A very intimate and deeply moving book, it is a testament to FitzGerald's incredibly
wide range. His first collection, Spring Water, a novel in verse about the mental of
a serial killer, could not be more different.
These are stirring poems written from the heart in the form of prayer:
From "Prayer"
Now, I stare into emptiness,
alone enough for poetry,
alone enough for even me,
alone requiring mention of passing.
There are these words, a sound,
an order, evasive emotions
I've known so long, just not acknowledged.
But others begin to notice frozen souls.
I don't know why I seem surprised.
I'm making life happen, I let it run wild.
I ought to rein it in a little,
maybe do some real work.
Give me that alpha rhythmic vibe
and I'll go one-on-one with God.
God is not too busy for people like me.
I say, you are no God without me.
In "Talking to Rilke", FitzGerald writes:
I see you know loneliness, wanting not just words,
but verse to sprinkle mystery on the breeze
and feed the page, as if every moment
is observed and respected for its holiness.
So we, the readers, are left breathless and wanting more.
This is a haunting, timeless collection that you will want to read time and again.

this book is for the person that drank alcohol to promote his or her self and his or her business...it expresses how fitzgerald
got caught up in the martini lunches, wine lunch, evening cocktails, and the no-excuse necessity for entertainment of the
people that called the shots in his industry...he takes the gloves off to tell how he feels about AA, and how he will not
be belittled by anyone for his alcoholism, but freely admits he was trapped. The book is not for those who adhere to a strict
resolution of the alcoholic by the means of the intervention...fitzgerald would probably outlaw that use in new york...and
bless him for it if he could...he is smart, realizes his problem and faces it...his wife is the old fashioned pioneer woman,
standing by him, never leave him attitude...his children are sort of namby pamby, its not my problem sort of kids, or so it
appears...he seems to want his son to be stronger....enough said...if you drink, like to drink, but should quit, read this
book and listen to ed fitzgerald...a war hero besides...e.wood

Over 20 years ago while an undergraduate in college, I was roaming the library stacks looking for a book to use for my Art
History class. I spotted Poggioli's "Theory of the Avant Garde" and sat down on the floor and opened it to the first page.
About an hour later, I got up with sore muscles but an invigorated intellect. It was easily the most significant book on
art theory I would ever read.
Poggiolli exams the avant-garde movement with a critical eye. He neither castigates it as foolishness, nor excuses it the nihilism embedded in the movement. Rather, he takes it apart bit by bit and holds it up for reasoned examination.
This is not an easy book to make your way through. I recently began re-reading it prior to giving a copy to an artist friend and was surprised at how much harder it was for me in my 40's than it was in my 20's. I suppose it was all those brain cells I sacrificed to good beer and even better wine. Still, if you care deeply about the intellectual influences that guided art for the last 150 years, then you'd best work your way through it. Though it's translated from the Italian, it still reads elegantly enough in English.

I just read this book to my son because I am interested in making sure that he has a diverse background from all cultures.
This was a great little book about respecting other creatures. It also was interesting in the end, that the tiniest of all
the creatures was the one to teach the moose a lesson about respect. I think this would be a good book in a teacher/student
setting.
