It's Pup and Hound. What more needs to be said? Any of these books are great. My son and I love them.

We bought it for our granddaughter who hadn't learned to read. It really helped her.

I gave the author 5 stars because the story was really good. It is about a boy that lost his tooth one night and he got a quarter from the tooth fairy. He didn't know what to spend it on. He changed his mind on lots of stuff

Rafi and Rosi have a charming sibling relationship in which Rafi is the wise older brother who tricks Rosi into believing that he can perform magic. Of course, these various supernatural feats turn out to be scientific facts regarding magnetism, bioluminescence, and plant growth. The scientific aspect of the story appeals to young readers who may feel that they're being let in on a 'grown-up' secret and adds an educational twist to the book that appeals to parents and teachers.

I particularly enjoy the tender and spunky characterization of Rafi and Rosi. Rosi is naive and trusting, but she also angers when her brother tricks her, and reveals a personal strength in the last chapter, thus making her a typically complex 5 year old. She also has the delicate manners of Shirley Temple without the contrived sweetness. Rafi is a boastful know-it-all, but he genuinely loves Rosi, and this affection comes through in the light-filled illustrations.

In fact, one of the great strengths of this book is its gorgeous pictorial execution. Many easy readers have repetitive layouts, but Delacre's pushes the boundaries of the format and includes richly detailed stories within the illustrations. Looking through the pictures is a delight that immerses the reader in brilliant tropical colors and scenes.

This is my favorite of Delacre's books. The stories are entertaining, the characters are well-developed, and Puerto Rico is beautifully shown in the illustrations.

This book was one of my favorites growing up. I really enjoyed the prayers of the children as they prayed about things that seem so obvious to me today. The art is great. The pictures captivate young minds. The prayers make me realize what child like faith is all about.

Teaches about prisms and rainbows, but most importantly the plot is interesting and fun. Nice hands-on project at the end to make your own prism using a plastic cup, water, and flashlight. Highly recommended book. Another excellent book by Kane Press.

What is Abby to do since her best friend Laura doesn't want to do what she wants to do? Abby and Laura have always done everything together but now it seems that Laura has changed. Or is it Abby that has changed?

Abby is all excited about discovering a little room. Laura isn't interested. Abby is intrigued by looking through a hole in the fence. A dog's wet nose comes through the hole to surprise young Abby. Perhaps she better find something to plug the hole. Her little brother gets all the attention anyway so she uses his stuffed monkey to suit her purpose. Oh no, the monkey's tail gets ruined. She discovers what is on the other side of the fence and is surprised by her findings.

Allison Lohans has created a book which will encourage children ages 7-9 to let their imaginations soar. This fantastic book deals with friendships and the adjustments required to becoming a quality big sister which young Brayden will look up to.

Note from Brianne's mother: Brianne enjoyed "The Raspberry Room" because it dealt with friends who don't always have to enjoy the same things and yet can remain friends.

Simple and good extent of articles, which are fit to Year 2 and 3 students.

A truly wonderful book. Read it in two days, simply because I couldn't put it down. The back ground information on the social climate of the time, and introspection of the clashing personalities involved takes the reader back to the victorian era with all it's distorted grace and grandeur. Wonderful stuff.

This is a funny book about Gilbreath and his dog Whiff. They have to save the world from alien stink pots. There is also a hillbilly toot 'n nanny going on at the same time. The combination could be deadly! Gilbreath uses funny inventions like the Odor Unloader and the magsniffying glass to save the day. You will love this book!
