Lost TV Episode Gets New Chance as a Book

I was quite pleased when I learned that this book was going to be available. This is a novelization of one of the lost fifth season episodes of the "Franklin" television series. This is one of many stories that viewers never got to see due to the cancellation of the program after the fourth season. Overall the story itself is fairly decent. Franklin is tired of having to go bed so early all the time and so he convinces his Mom to allow him to invite his friends for a "stay-up over." However, his plans start to fail when all of his friends want to get some sleep, but he keeps trying to find ways to keep them awake. Those who miss the television show will probably be pleased with this novelization, as there's a good chance this story may never make it to video.

My daughter, who is five, loves this book. She is just beginning to read and enjoys reading this book to me! As a child I owned quite a few of the Bobbsey Twins books, I can remember reading them cover to cover in less than a day. I was happy to see a series of The Bobbsey Twins that was easy enough for her to read and enjoy!

Some of the best recounting of the contentious relationship between Hemingway and Fitzgerald out there. Chapter 2 -- Fitzgerald's Blue Pencil -- is priceless.

Can friendship survive when you're choosing sides?

There's an election taking place in Nancy Drew's third-grade class, and people started choosing candidates right away. Nancy has been asked to run by her friends.

It's not an election if only one person is running for office -- even if it's a great candidate like America's favorite girl detective. But, somebody not only doesn't want Nancy to win -- he wants everyone to lose with his mean pranks.

Can Nancy solve the mystery of the Funny Face Fight? With her wonderful blue notebook filled with clues and suspects identified with clear-headed logic, our girl is sure to come out ahead, no matter who wins the election!

Carolyn Keene's books always touch the interests of young readers, who will be sure to adore every page of this cute mystery to the very end!

I got this book for my 10 and 11 year old daughters....they ABSOLUTELY LOVED it ! They kept saying "Dad, you have to read this book". I did and it is a wonderful book. As a former high school hockey player, I loved the hockey action, some of the best hockey action for middle school kids I have ever read.

As a father, the family side of the story really touched me as well.

If you have daughters, or daughters who love sports like mine, this is the BEST book I have seen for them.

The main character is one tough cookie, and her guts, spirit and determination are inspirational to all girls !

Because the hockey action is soooo good, even my 13 year old son wants to read the book now.

If you have middle age kids who love books about sports or just books about being a middle school kid ( the conversations these kids have are hilarious ), THIS BOOK IS A MUST HAVE !

While teaching in Northern China, I was introduced to the Gogo series by a fellow Canadian. The series is wonderful, great pictures, great language development and we were able to use it with adults as well (in a pinch.) Easy to use and follow for teachers and students alike!

The preservation of our history is so important. But Fitzgerald Publishing has made it fun. These traditional books, which explain history using cartoon characters, help keep the children's attention while bringing the stories alive using vivid colorization. A must-have for all households.

Kathleen Fitzgerald provides a warm-hearted, down-to-earth reflection of her first year after profession. We go through her trials and searchings with her, feeling her pain and asking the same questions that she does. She carries you with her throughout this well-written book right until the very end. Mrs. Fitzgerald has given us a remarkable book, one that I've never really understood why it hasn't gone farther or been made into a movie. Something you'll want to read again and again!
