LeBor's book reflects a true mark of a good journalist. It is honest, objective, and well-researched. He shows the whole
picture, good as well as bad. He is careful to distinguish between genuine Islam and the personalized versions, which can
be highly distorted through cultural influences or political agendas (Islam used as a guise). I highly recommend this book
to everyone -- Muslims and non-Muslims.

I finished Richard Crabbe's Hell's Gate last week and wanted to write a review because I liked it so much. I read it over
the course of three nights - I hated to put it down. It has action, mystery, great characters and plot, and atmosphere in abundance.
It takes you back in time to a much grittier old New York. The writing is evocative and the images stay with you. It is much
more than just a Summertime read, and is clearly the result of meticulous research. I think you don't just get a story, and
a period in time, so right without really knowing your stuff. And Crabbe knows his stuff. I read Clancy, Brown, Patterson,
all the usual best sellers (and some heavier stuff when I'm on a self-improvement crusade!)- their books are a lot of fun.
But I find that many of their stories don't stay with you. You read them and forget them. Not with Hell's Gate. Crabbe transports
you, and you feel like you can literally see, hear and breathe in what it was like to live in a New York that was even more
colorful than it is today. Highest recommendation. You will not be disappointed.

This is an excellent book on so many levels. It sheds a bright light on Henry VIII's Court, and shows it to be a complex
and often dangerous place. The book reveals Henry Howard, the Earl of Surrey, to be an intelligent, talented, brave, egotistic,
and ultimately doomed man. The research is also solid. Jessie Childs looks under every possible rock for any scrap of evidence,
and so is able to present a vivid, full-scale biography of the Earl. But what really sets this book apart from most others
is the writing, which crackles and sparks like burning logs in a fireplace.
Jessie Childs is a fresh voice, and thus brings a new perspective to the Court of Henry VIII. What a marvelous first book this is! One can't help but look forward to many more such works from this young, talented historian.

A delightfully written book of adventure, with a laid-back hero, great characters and witty observations on the English class
system and customs. The witty comments in this book are reminiscent of the early Gavin Lyalls. Entertaining reading which
leaves the reader guessing as to how it can all come together and make sense. But come together it does, with a dramatic
ending where our hero makes a moral decision that I for one would have made differently. "You got to watch that money stuff,
..... Too much of it and it can get to change your personality, you know - like drink".

How to Advertise?
Internet marketing with major search engines in USA and/or UK markets.
After the rapid growth of " Google " - Yahoo and MSN need to find the ways to protect their market shares. Therefore, we can gain the beneficiaries from them during the search fights in June 2004. No doubts, Search Engines Marketing is the amazing way to promote your brand and/or products when you facing the globalization and e-business in the coming decade.
Of course, you need to learn and study more search engines (PPC, P4P Programs) in both markets of USA or UK.
Actually, US$25.00 is the small amount to start your programs in the trial status. e.g. Findwhat, Goclick, Looksmart, Lycos, Mirago,...etc. If you want to make easy way, suggest to try on Overture site match!
If you have much funds on your internet marketing, you can try more programs as Google, Overture, Kanoodle, Enhance (ah-ha),. eSpotting,...etc.
Try to step into the SEO / ROI marketing in time now.
Hope to have more success after your business promotion in global markets.

2006 July, Now the search engines market is changed.
There have only Google (42%), Yahoo (28%), MSN (13%), AOL (7%) and Ask (5%) Search Networks in the upper market. But there still have the small companies are working: MIVA and Kanoodle.
Of course, market shares are higher, but quality visitors are lower. Quality Clicks are very importance for every advertiser, so Yahoo and Google must find the ways to catch the quality visitors in every seconds and hours.
Re: Local searches for Yahoo / Google - it still have the good future and development in Hong Kong. Actually, there have many advertisers in Hong Kong or from Mainland China.
Baidu, Alibaba, Sina and Sohu are mainly concerns in Local China only. No doubts, there have many B2B sites or portals for helping the SME Business on promotion in the very different ways on marketing. e.g. exhibitions or online helps.
As you see that PCCW and NWT - are quiet aggressive on their business promotions on Yahoo HK and MSN HK.
--------
For SME Business - if you want to save the costs, you can DIY your advertisement directly.... Even Google HK or Yahoo HK.

This book was a fantastic look at the complex mind of a self-described, "backward country fellow." Black was what we might
term an "originalist" for his strict adherence to the Constitution and Bill of Rights, but being a liberal, be firmly believed
what judges were allowed to do gave them immeasurable powers to enforce the rights and liberties of the people! Dunne gives
us more than just a biography; he gives us an analysis of how Black came to develop his fascinating theory of Constitutional
interpretation and some hints surrounding why near the end of his life he grew so conservative. It is a great book, and I
highly recommend it.

Who would have thought that the "vast right-wing conspiracy" was true after all? This is a well written book for the non-political
junkie. I read it a few years ago and it's the one book I keep reflecting on about the Clinton years and the disaster that's
in the Whithouse now. If only Clinton had been allowed to focus on much more pressing matters...

I love this book. Its approach is so different. Each hexagram is examined using the etymology of its Chinese name, e.g. #4
Meng: the piglet who is ensnared in a bramble bush. Also wonderful are the humorous quotes from Chuang Tzu and others, e.g.
in the section on Meng: "It is difficult to be muddle-headed. It is difficult to be clever. But it is still more difficult
to graduate from cleverness to muddle-headedness."

But what makes this book remarkable, and deserving of five stars, is Simon's ability to bring the insights of cultural theory to bear without ever losing hold of the attention of even a casual reader. She's an empathetic writer, and a smart one. You may not think you have anything to learn from a white man getting hair implants or a black woman getting hair extensions or a drag queen getting her facial hair literally shocked off, but in Simon's hands each of these characters become mirrors for everyday anxieties, hopes, and history.
This isn't just a book about wacky hair--it's about race and gender in America, a story that cuts close to core questions about identity and appearence. As it finds the readership it deserves, it may well turn out to be one of the really important books of the year, pointing toward a new way of asking questions about how we live that's funny as well as deeply perceptive.
