Debra Kang Dean is a poet whose grasp of form allows her poems to work simultaneously on the levels of mind and music. These poems embody immigrant experience with an uncommon grace as well as a fighting spirit. One of the poems, "Taproot" appears in "Best American Poetry 1999."

Robert Benson has been a wonderful addition to my prayer life. He writes words that I could only think in my heart. This volume from the United Methodist Upper Room is filled with pictures of their Nativity creche collection. Mr. Benson writes about Joseph, Mary and other participants in the nativity story. The book is one I will read and reread each Advent season. It would be an excellent gift for friends and family.

Scrapers is a fun book to read. I play baseball so it was interesting for me. The main character is Kati. Their problem is that Kati has a black eye, and she couldn't not play as well. It was a funny book. It got me ready for Baseball. I think you would like it.

This is a very important book for my study. In my research field, everyone regard that this book must be read. This book explores the way young children feel about popularity. When Nutty gets a part in a movie he gets back the popularity he had lost by evesdropping on the girls bathroom. Stemming from this new image as "movie star" his twenty four hour trip to Hollywood where he saw only one celebrity (one from a dog food commercial) suddenly becomes a Hollywood free for all where he "saw" famous people, lunched at the most famous resturants and stayed at fabulous hotels. His popularity's back and he's feeling good . . . . until his bluff is called. The way this charming and funny story unfolds is yet to be discovered inside the covers.

Although I'm not sure if this is the same book I read in Fourth grade. Because there is not a detailed description of on this website. The story of victor bodkins and his misfit band of orphan toys excellent i highly recomend it. A must for anyone of any age.!! :):):):):):):)

This is the sort of film that one cannot exactly say one has enjoyed -- but nonetheless one has sat rivited from beginning to end. The only word for this movie is "brilliant." I got a feeling for how alien and strange the ancient civilization must have been. Usually, in presentations of the classics, everything just seems like present day folks wearing costumes -- but not this film. Filmed in North Africa, it just blew me and my family away! If you like the classics, you will love this movie. Having said that, of course it has the usual Pasolini eccentricities. Be forewarned.
