This is an outstanding work of art. Garner's pictures place you in the cockpit of the F-14, F-16 and the A-4. You will fly in and out of the "late" Miramar Naval Air Station, you will fly high above California's Sierra Nevada Mountains and you will cruise over the Southern California Pacific coast. You will witness flight briefings and ground maintenance. This is a classic book that is sadly out of print.

Superior Military Aviation Photography. . . .

Dean Garner is the master of military aviation photography. His first coffee-table book, TOPGUN Miramar, showcases more than two weeks of flying with the instructors at the US Navy Fighter Weapons School, aka TOPGUN, and chronicling the lives and loves (the jets, that is) of the men and women who make it all happen.

Garner captured both ground and aerial images, revealing the behind-the-scenes look and feel of the real TOPGUN. His air-to-air images are breathtaking, to say the least. . . .

Can't wait for the next installment!

WORLD CLASS WONDERFUL
Helpful Votes: 4 out of 4 total.

I came across this little known and hard-to-find book quite by accident. The title suggests simply another sex education book, but it is much, much more than that! It is truly an introduction and detailed lesson book on the human art of touching. It shows how touching can be used in mood-altering communication,in affection, in loving - yourself, with your children, with friends, with patients, and yes, with your loved one - involving every part of the body. No academic tome, it is a reintroduction to life itself, and redefines the meaning of intimacy! A practical manual; only 120 pages, beautifully written and illustrated - A MUST READ FOR LIVING!

Recommend it? FOR THE ENTIRE HUMAN RACE!

Wondeful book on developing intimate sensuality.

Starting with tender hand touching and progressing through such sensual experiences as caressing your partner's whole body under the running water of a mutual shower, this book presents a series of exercises designed to transport anyone who choses to do them to the realms of sensual and erotic pleasure. The explanations and descriptions of the exercises combines gentle wisdom and straightforward information. This is the best of sex therapy now available for every couple, whether they are having problems or not. This is a wonderful book for couples who wish to explore and enrich their sexuality; their sensuality; the intimacy of their communication and touch.

If you are interested in treasure hunting then this is the starter manual that you need. I had read and bought numerous books over the years on prospecting, treasure hunting and metal detecting. The information in this book, while somewhat dated, will help both the beginner hunter and the pro. Its not just a book listing a bunch of fanciful treasure tales though Mueller does pass some of those on, he tells you about how to start, how to research, where to research, what to do once you find that treasure site and suggestions for what to do afterwords. A lot of information crammed into one book. This book should be in every treasure hunters/prospectors library.

A Practical and Well-Written Guide for Those in Patient Care
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 1 total.
Review Date: 2003-11-11
This is a rare how-to book. It is fast-reading but full of great pearls of wisdom for how to deal with the troubled and troublesome behavior of hospitalized patients and their families. I laughed out loud as I came to the description of the angry relative with the big yellow "legal-size" writing tablet, carefully carried in a leather folder, pages of questions already neatly written out.

For nurses, doctors, therapists, and social workers, "Trust" is a mandatory item for the bookshelf. If difficult patients are giving you "one of those days", there is help here. The next time your shift at the hospital has made you go home and jump in a hot bathtub with a glass of wine in one hand, I recommend placing a copy of "Trust" in your other hand.

TRUST: A SHOCK TO THE SYSTEM. A PRACTICAL GUIDE deals with working with distrustful people in a medical situation. Rather than their medical circumstances causing distrust, we find that these individuals are distrustful and difficult in all aspects of their lives. Hazlitt in 19C England says that the best a disagreeable distrustful person can hope for is to be less disagreeable. The Sick-sybarite syndrome, The 'Why' question, The Schmoo enigma, Managed Care Monster, Big Shot from Out of Town, Toxic Healthcare Professional, Italian Prozac, The socially inept, to the Rebarbative are some of the topics covered. Accepting that people behave in distressed circumstances of illness in the same manner as they behave ordinarily changes the encounter to one that can much more effectively managed. A manual for stressed healthcare workers in trying times, and a guide for all who deal with the public.

Dr. Suess with a message!

I am the yougest son of the author Dean Stewart. He has always had an amazing talent in writing, but the Truthtales Series has been his first publishing. I have read all four books in the series, and can promise that they are all as good as the first - "Turtletown." Turltletown teaches the lesson of obedience. The book is exciting and fun to read with creative rhymes and descriptions. If you are looking for a fun book with a good message, this is the book for the child in your life. You'll find that the adults love the book as much as the kids. Enjoy and be sure to tell your friends!

Great Book, enjoyable story with a lesson

"Turtletown contains valuable lessons about temptation, peer pressure, the pains of guilt which accompanyh disobedience, and the pleasures which accompany obedience."

The copy of the book that I have looks different than the one pictured here at Amazon. The one I have is by Color House Graphics, not Black Forest Press.

I throughly recomend The Unabridged James Dean By Randall Riese!! It is an exhaustively researched and well compiled reference on Dean's short but facinating life. I was particularly impressed with the inclusion of many rare and interesting photographs as well as Riese's research into JD's television appearances. Often people forget or don't even realise that James Dean has left us with not only three remarkable film performances but also some excellent Television ones. A must have for fans!

The final battle is about to commence!

Lokith returns for revenge against Bloodsong and Guthrun. He is to pave the way for the Goddess of Death, Hel, to overtake the Earth.

By the sides of Bloodsong and Guthrun, remain the Freya-Witch (Huld), the shape-shifting Berserkers, and some ex-slave/warriors. However, to win this final battle Bloodsong must accept her shape-shifting abilities, just as Guthrun must risk using the newly awakened Hel-power within herself, without losing their true selves. ONLY THEN could they reach the lair of an ancient army that waits for Bloodsong to awaken them. Then they would have the chance to send Hel back to Hell!

*** An awesome conclusion to an extra ordinary trilogy! These books are "Keepers" to be read many times over! Author, C. Dean Andersson, has proven his skill for weaving magical stories of unforgettable characters. Highly recommended! ***

READ THIS!!!
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2001-03-09
The Queen of Death, Hel, instructed the Hel-Witch, Thokk, and the ghoulish Death Riders to kidnap Bloodsong's daughter, Guthrun. Guthrun was nearing puberty. Thokk was to awaken the Hel-magic that was sleeping deep within the teen and use her special blood to grant life to Lokith.

Lokith had once been Thorbjorn, Bloodsong's son, who had been tortured to death as a child. Thokk had helped his corpse mature. Hel had given him power beyond imagination. The only way Bloodsong could defeat Hel was to acquire the help of a God (Odin) and some shape-shifting Berserkers.

*** Mother and daughter fight together in THIS one. Both of them change in ways for the better AND for the worst. I hated to see this book end because it means that only one remains to be read. This trilogy is the best of the best in Fantasy! ***
