History and Mystery with a twist!Review Date: 2001-03-02
Fun mysterious entertainment, satiric cut at modern academiaReview Date: 2002-04-14
Set in the fictional college town of Stonehaven, at a fictional, (yet very reminiscent) catholic liberal arts college, 'St.Swithun's College', this story transported me back to my own college days under the tutelage of the Jesuits. Thankfully, all of the classical Latin allusions are translated within the story -- quite good fun! The satirical humour is non-stop. Sultry co-eds, thick-headed jocks, quirky & obsessive academics, and petty college administrators all play their parts as we would expect. But, who killed J. Garrison Nielson, the wealthy college benefactor is something very few will have expected before its revelation in the story!
Yet, the clues are there. And perhaps some mystery hounds will figure this one out. Educated readers, catholic school survivors, and mystery lovers will all enjoy this book.
Perhaps not Edgar material, but certainly worthwhile reading.

Delightful!Review Date: 2006-03-10
Enjoyment and good cause in one packageReview Date: 2000-08-30
A short list of a few of the delights:
I Will Sing of My Purina which sounds suspiciously like I Will Sing the Wondrous Story
Oh, They Tell Me of a Home which sounds suspiciously like Oh They Tell Me of a Home
Lord, I'm Coming Home the lyrics of which are only slightly odd
Tussle and Play which sounds suspiciously like Trust and Obey.
You also get the complete lyrics to sing along. An even the end pages are useful, introducing you to the cream of religious cats such as Reverend A. Jax: "To poor little kitties / Who've gone astray / He preaches salvation ... / He shows the way."

Simply a great set of books covering systems and network forensicsReview Date: 2008-05-16
Although not entrenched in the area of forensics, I do feel that I have a strong technical background upon which to build. I found this series of books refocusing me to think more like a forensics investigator. Not only did I have the opportunity to dig deeper into specific technology areas, but it also reinforced the concepts through scenarios.
Not for the faint of heart, this practical set of books expects you to have a decent technical background to make the best use of it. If you are interested in taking your forensics know-how to the next level, this is a great reference set to be added to your library.
Great book, great infoReview Date: 2007-10-25
I would not recommend these books for the beginner as the material will quickly give one the feeling of "Drinking from a firehose" without a reasonable amount of knowledge going in. The authors do state that while the books are written to be easy to understand they are not for the beginner.

Honest, heartwarming, hopefulReview Date: 2005-01-19
Some of these women are professional writers, and some are previously unpublished writers, but some simply have a story to tell.
And what stories! These women write in a straightforward and unpretentious manner about the women (and men) who lift them up, aggravate them, support them, teach them, and, more often than not, need their help in return. We hear stories of Native American healers, church groups serving funeral lunches, firefighters, book clubs, families, snow-shovel posses, and politics in the West.
I feel like I want to give this book to all of my close women friends, whether they physically live in my community or not.
The essays in this book will definitely make you think about your own connections to others, no matter what size town you call home. I highly recommend it, and cannot wait to get my hands on the other anthologies by these editors (Leaning into the Wind, and Woven on the Wind).
A must for any woman--western or notReview Date: 2004-12-12
These are true stories by our friends, neighbors, and people we probably don't much care for who live down the lane. And because these women so fearlessly let us into their lives, we are able to be part of that circle of comapssion and understanding that is what I believe is the true nature of humanity.
Yeah I know, I'm making it sound like it's a bluepprint for world peace--but maybe it is!
Anyway, these are stories(and poems) that will make you weep and laugh out loud --I would recommend it to any type ofwomen studies groups.

A Lesson from the Past.Review Date: 2002-02-17
The book provides tangible evidence of an educational system which employed ingredients for success that may benefit today's underachieving schools.
