in this 4th installment of the November Man series, November aka Deveroux is cooling out in Finland trying to see if a would-be
Soviet defector is worth the trouble. After 7 weeks of freezing cold and no progress, the Russian brings up the name of a
Tomas Crohan. It appears that this Crohan is a long missing Irish/CIA operative who disappeared near the end of WW2. Why is
he important? While he is lost, so are his secrets, and British Intelligence, CIA, and Deveroux's own R Section would like
to keep it that way. Enter Rita Macklin, the reporter who helped Deveroux trak down the Priest, Leo Tunney, in the 2nd November
Man novel "Schism". Macklin is put onto the story of the missing Crohan by her magazines Publisher after his wife receives
a letter from an Irish Priest mentioning his name. There are evil assassins and double agents and the grim Deveroux once again
must make the no-win decisions that have made him an iconoclast of the genre. The sad romance angle of Macklin/Deveroux is
especially poignant. Overall, a fine read and economical at 245 pages.

After carefully digesting Buddy Reading and having implemented the program for four years, I truly believe that the suggestions
and techniques that the authors had to offer helped to develop fluency, intonation, critical thinking, and a love for reading!
There are many articles on the benefits of buddy reading and this book offers an excellent guide on how to successfully implement
one. There are lessons for the teacher of older buddies as well as lessons for the teacher of the younger buddies. I highly
recommend this book!

This is the third book in the Abbey Mysteries series, which is about thirteen-year-old Gwyneth Mason and her younger brother,
Hereward, who live in Glastonbury, England, in 1190.
Gwyneth Mason and her brother, Hereward, live in the town of Glastonbury, England, where their parents run an inn, in the year 1190. Ever since a fire several years ago, the Glastonbury Abbey is no longer attracting pilgrims, and as a result, the town has become poor. While the Abbey is being rebuilt, there is a wonderful discovery -- the bones of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere are found buried in the courtyard. Gwyneth knows this miraculous find will bring visitors to the Abbey again, and thus improve life for everyone in Glastonbury. But when the bones are stolen, all hope seems lost. Gwyneth and Hereward are determined not to give up, and set out to solve the mystery themselves.
THE BURIED CROSS starts off a wonderful new Medieval mystery series for kids. Readers who enjoy other historical mystery series, such as The Roman Mysteries, are sure to enjoy this new series as well. I truly enjoyed the likable characters and unique setting of this book, and I look forward to reading future books in the series.

In this book by Catherine Swift, you will find a very interesting and touching book about a beloved author. The book tells
of his early childhood with out a mother and with a father who doesn't pay much attention to his children. The only thing
the children have to turn to are themselves and there writings of animal kingdom. This story follows through his teenage and
adult life through his marriage until his death. It was very well written and is a great book although it is not very long.
I think this book was a 9 and 1\2

This is a really powerful and entertaining book about growing up in the Southwestern United states in the late 1800's. The
fiction is interwoven with a lot of actual characters from the period, and the result is exciting and ultimately really inspirational.
A great read for western fans and also for someone looking for good Christian based fiction.

If you collect Canadian coins, this book is invaluable. This book has a section on how to grade Canadian coins with an emphasis
on what to look for when grading coins. Although the prices are in Canadian Dollars, the values are in some ways higher
than Krause. Included are pattern and trial stike coins, as well as sections on pre-1867 coinage and Newfoundland. This
book is to Canadian Coins what Red Book is for US Coins.

This is THE standard reference work for Canadian token collectors.
It is profusely illustrated with B&W photos of all major token types.
It is laid out by province and it's fairly simple to find your way through the book to the token in question.
All-in-all, a "must have" for anyone interested in collecting Canadian tokens.
