This is one of the best collections of spiritual meditations I have found. As you meditate on Christ's life though the sorrowful, joyful, and glorious mysteries of the rosary, you will begin to ponder your own life as a Christian. Your life will begin to change as you use this book. Not only does this book have a wonderful collection of rosary meditations, but you will also find beautiful meditations on the Beatitudes, as well as, meditations on The Way of The Cross that will open your eyes to the way you interact with others. If you want to change your life, read this book! This book is just not for Catholics, but for anyone who wants to change their life by becoming closer to Christ.

With more than 60 model business plans to choose from, the reader can readily draw up their own, made easier by the accompanying CD-ROM. The sample plans include retailers, small service firms, small manufacturers,home-based enterprises, research organizations, educational institutions, franchises, nonprofits, importers/exporters, and others. The book also contains an extensive collection of small business resources such as SBDC lists and Internet search results.
Worst book about business plans. Prentice Hall can do better

It is hard to imagine that Prentice Hall allowed this book to be published in its current form. It is close to useless in helping a reader prepare a business plan. The examples are only the introduction to plans with a gratuitous copy of SBA work sheets. These can be obtained for free from the SBA and are more useful.
Many plans are only partially written, as if they were introductory thoughts to the chapter. Some plans are only a few paragraphs.

Each chapter of this remarkable book is different, yet each describes the heroic efforts being made to alleviate human suffering due to the ravages of ethnic, religious, or political warfare. The chapter authors represent five continents, and they describe the attempts being made to treat the victims (primarily women and children) of war trauma. Especially poignant are the Angolan children's drawings that open each section of this book, and depict a "child's view" of death and destruction.

Krippner and McIntyre have taken the time to look at the pschological aspects of war and violence on civilians. This is a very well researched book with a number of outstanding contributors. A must book for those interested in not only the short term but long term effects of war on humans.

This book, by legendary explorer Thor Heyerdahl and two archaeologist colleagues, has something for everyone! Tucume is a large site full of adobe pyramids on the north coast of Peru. The site dates to about 1000-1540 AD and in its later years was conquered by the Chimu and then the Inca before falling to ruins after the Spanish Conquest. In the book, Heyerdahl recounts his adventures in Peru in his usual, inimitable style, while the two archaeologists (one American and one Peruvian) discuss the archaeological finds at this fabulous site. The book is full of drawings and photos, many in color. Some of the artifacts are truly spectavular, but just as interesting are the insights into how archaeologists put together a picture of the past from the dusty bits and pieces left in this desert center. Whether you are a fan of Kon-Tiki or interested in the details of Peru's ancient past, this is the book for you

Talk about putting a big book into a small package. This book blew me away. I read the first chapter (which is phenomenal) and I was hooked. I guarantee if you find this book and read it, it will hit you with every emotion possible. I am not a good enough writer to express the emotional rollercoaster this book took me on. Since I read this book, I have made it a point to buy and read every one of Caroline Cross' books. Read this book and see what I mean!

I had to buy this book for school, but I truly enjoy reading it. The essays cover many different topics and I am learning a lot from it. It is so important for social workers and family therapists to have an analysis of race, culture and gender!

I enjoy the selections and find that they promote both social awareness and heart opening meditation. The voices are unique and honest, the chapters are well constructed.

Having taken Richard Walsh, the text is a wonderful way to approach reading the Bible. It forces the student to think of the Bible in different ways. It forces those that believe in the Bible to see things differently and those that don't believe in the Bible too as well. Wonderful book from a wonderful, wonderful man
full of connections to movies, literature, history

Richard Walsh's introduction offers the student a literary critical approach to the Bible. The work's greatest asset is its connections to ancient, modern, and post-modern cultures with many references to movies, literature, historical figures, etc. Walsh's textbook speaks well to two audiences: the student who is satisfied with a reader-friendly introduction and the reader who is eager for a challenging in-depth approach. Walsh accomplishes this dual approach by isolating the more demanding (but also, more rewarding) material-->insets which appear throughout each chapter. They are a book in themselves!

Hats off to Doris Cross! She's produced yet another spectacular cookbook! The recipes in this book are absolutely delicious, easy to prepare, and don't require bizarre ingredients. The taste is sensational; you think you're eating high-fat dishes when you aren't! The dishes are simple enough for everyday fare, yet elegant enough for a dinner party. Of the many cookbooks I've purchased since being diagnosed with diabetes, the ones by Doris Cross are far and away my favorites!!

Since I love Italian food and also need to eat in a balanced manner, I was delighted when I saw this cookbook in the library. It was everything I expected and more! The diabetic exchanges are clearly listed as well as the exact grams of carbo, protein, fat, sodium, and cholestrol. I tried two of the recipes, Garlic and Parmesan Chicken with Pasta, and Shrimp and Crab Stuffed Shells. The recipes were easy to follow and the taste was magnificent! I was amazed at the rich flavor and beauty of the dishes. I think this book would be helpful for anyone who follows the Zone Diet as well as diabetics.

Don't be misled by the main character's title 'Knight of Death' or 'Chevalier du Morte'. He is the ultimate Misfortune's child, and his misadventures more than make up for his shady past and numerous sins. You'll hate the villains and love the blonde even though the entire cast of characters seems a bit twisted at first. This guy can't win for losing and I found myself as confused and desperate to learn the truth as he was and there were a number of times that I could honestly say "Been there, done that!" This guy is almost me in another incarnation, except for his age, of course. I don't want to give anything away, but I can honestly say when all was said and done, I completely identified with him, especially in the last chapter. Great book! Couldn't put it down. If you've ever wondered what happened to the mysterious Templar Knights of yore, you've got to read this. I hope more adventures or misadventures, as the case may be, are forthcoming.
