This cookbook is full of delicious, easy to make, and "make-ahead" dishes. Perfect for the busy cook OR for ministering to those who are ill, recovering from surgery, adapting to life with a baby, mourning, etc. Truly indespensible.

This is one of the best illustrated and put together kids cooking books of all times. It is one of the books that is checked out most in our library at school. I have purchased two so far!!!

Great "fake book" (melody line, lyrics & chord symbols) that is easy to read with big print, nice alternate chord patterns, and compact 1-2 page format for the bandstand. I came across a few chord choices that were questionable, but work it out for yourself - develop an ear!

I already had long moments of fun by playing and replaying the standards in this book. It is written in a simple clear way and the choice is vast, even for a beginer like myself.

This is one of the books showcasing the Museum of the American Quilt Society's yearly contest "New Quilts from an old favorite". Each year a traditional block is selected for the challenge and quiltmakers from all over the world produce wonderfully inventive interpretations of the theme block. The quilts selected as prize winners and finalists are shown in the MAQS and a book is produced. Each quilt is presented in color on one page and commented on by the maker on the opposing side. Each quilter tells a little about her quilting and explains a bit about the way she arrived at the contest quilt. In the back of the book there are patterns for several sizes of the traditional block as well as further technical tips by the quilters whose work is presented in the book.

This book showcases quilts derived from the Kaleidoscope block: there are quilts you can clearly trace to that block and some where you can hardly find it, traditionally inspired quilts along with art quilts. Quite a few quilts were inspired by Paula Nadelstern's Kaleidoscope quilts.

All the books documenting this challenge are well worth owning as they are great inspirations and show the many different ways a theme can be interpreted.

America's heartland foods range from comforting (oven baked chicken, potato cakes) to ethnic (grilled sweet potato sticks, Swedish rye bread) to unusual (amaranth muffins, pawpaw bread).
The recipe for black walnut pie make your mouth water. I'm partial to it and the corn puffs recipes as they were contributed by my step-grandmother. Carey collected the recipes from noted cooks all over Kansas from Topeka to Fredonia to Coffeyville to Dodge City.

As a recreational kayaker who has become more avide over the years, I genuinely like this book. Kayaking Tahoe should be the "Offical" guide in my opinion. The author has clearly spent years loving this beautiful lake. The information contained in the pages seemingly comes from a local who has grown up playing in and around Lake Tahoe. The book highlights campgrounds, weekend water get-aways, fun/unique spots to visit, and more. There is a comprehensive fishing guide, general tourist information, outdoor safety tips, recipies, and fantastic, intricate hand drawings from a bonefide artist.

The book contains lots of great ideas for creative and pedagogically sound applications of podcasting technology to the classroom. Highly recommended. Check out Dan's podcast as well.

This book is a must for anyone who owns their own business! It gives you a step-by-step method to follow each month. It only takes 30 minutes and when its time for taxes, you are already done! It has instructions for all types of businesses from nail techs and salon owners to direct sales consultants and small business owners. It tells you which items are deductible and even has envelopes for your receipts! I highly recommend getting one of these each year!
