A couple of years ago I basically followed the same route covered on this 1989 field trip and was greatly rewarded by having the book at the ready.

I love this devotional. My 6 month old enjoys the rhymes and my older child helps out with this too. It's a fun way to start doing devotion time with a very young child.

I collect cookbooks, and this is one of my top five. The authors are not overstating their case! I've never had a failure with one of their meticulously accurate recipes. This is really basic, stick-to-your-ribs meal preparation with a lot of humor thrown in. These recipes don't contain a million exotic ingredients and an afternoon's worth of time and trouble. Their quiche, corn souffle, and chicken and dumplings have drawn more compliments than many other expensive and time-consuming things I've made. This would make a wonderful gift (mine was!)

In this 68-page manual, Okinawan Shuri-Ryu Chief Instructor Hanshi Ridgely Abele discusses training methods to increase flexibility, speed, strength, and mental abilities. Hanshi Abele, a ninth degree black belt in both Okinawan Shuri-ryu karate and juijitsu, includes a number of "games" to help teach students scoring techniques. How to create an opening, how to fake out your opponent, how to use both sides of your body, how to cut angles--these are some of the many topics that Hanshi Abele discusses in this excellent text. As with his other works, such as his Karatedo: Art, Sport, Science, Hanshi Abele includes outstanding pictures and diagrams to illustrate his text. This impressive work is a must-have in the library of all martial artists.

First-off, we would like to tip our golf caps to the two authors, Sharon Gerardi & Nadine Nemecheck, job well done. As you know, golf is a time consuming sport and if you love to walk it can be tiring after 18 holes. The last thing a golfer wants to do is cook a meal, until now. This clever little cookbook is fun, entertaining and easy to follow.

The book is loaded with clever golf named meals. Here are some examples: "Don't Shank it" Lamb Shanks, Chippy Chili Dip and Don't Choke (It's Only a Game) Chocolate Pie, just to mention a few. The books starts off with cocktails and appetizers (The Starter) and finishes off with wonderful desserts (Hole #9 The Sweet Spot). Try the Golf Bag Peanut Butter Crunch, a GolfOutlet.com favorite. It is so simple and great to stick in your bag for quick energy on the course. The book is jammed with quick prep meals, as well as meals that can be prepared while you are on the golf course, here is an example, The Niblick 5 hour Stew, perfect even for public course play.

Not only are the receipes exceptional but the book is loaded with fun golf trivia and facts. This book is fantastic. We would consider it any golfer's yardage book for accurate fun cooking.

if you are a busy mom or career woman like me, you need this cookbook. all the receipes are down to earth, no weird ingredients that you can't find at the store. everything is simple and easy to prepare, so easy even children could do it.

This cookbook is one of the best I've ever seen. I am a cookbook collector and I always look to this book when cooking for special occations. I've never cooked something in this book that I didn't get rave reviews from my guests. Also, even though the book is not the thickest one out there, it is very through. Bon Apetite!

This cookbook has terrific family recipes with ingredients that are likely to be in your cupboard, plus wonderful stories about the generations of "granny's" family. It's as much fun to read as to cook from, and I've tried and liked many of the recipes already!

If you ever wondered how Joyce Carol Oates prepared "The Career Woman's Meal," or what Eudora Welty put in "Charles Dickens's Eggnog," or how Ray Bradbury made "Peach Kuchen," this book is your chance to find out. Among the recipes (or disclaimers to lack of culinary skills) are Bill Moyers's "Championship Chili Mix," Arthur Miller's "Reflections on Butterflied Leg of Lamb," a salad composed by Helen Gurley Brown and another by Joan Didion, John Steinbeck's "Mysterious Striped Bass" and Jessica Mitford's "Fish & Shrimp Casserole." There's even a recipe for grits by Tennessee Williams. Two not to miss: "Supply-Side Economics Fudge" by William F. Buckley, Jr., and "Open-Face Cigarette Special Hot & Cold Sandwich with Artichoke Appetizer" by the late Hunter S. Thompson.

This is a great selection of pieces. The arrangements are also very well done, and suitable for more advanced piano players.
