Combs Books

My family fought over this cookbook when it arrived as a gift from my parents. Everything looked so tempting it was difficult to decide which recipe to try first, but we finally settled on the enchilada recipe and it was so good everyone raved. Now my family is calling me for the recipe, but are so disappointed because the new book was mistakenly taken to the library with all the wedding books. When I realized the error, I immediately called the library, but they assured me that a book like that would have sold quickly in their auction. Trust me, this book is worth buying and I will own it again soon!

Doris Eff collected antique combs for decades, culling through flea markets, estate sales, and antique shops in her quest for the rare and beautiful objects. Her book about the history of combs, how ladies have worn them throughout the centuries, and wearing of the combs, was the original one on the subject, and it led to the founding of the International Antique Comb Collectors Association. Now nearing her nineties, Doris Eff's book belongs in the collection of any afficionado or novice collector of these artifacts of days gone by.

Having just discovered Jyl's books recently, I'm a new fan. There are so many recipes in each book that even if you only found half to be to your taste, you still got a bargain. Some are very fast and easy to make, some a little more involved. All taste like from-scratch cooking even if they take a mix of some kind. All around family pleasing, and waistline pleasing, books.

I absolutely love this book. It can be hard for my family and I to agree on a recipe: my husband and I have opposing tastes, I can be very picky, and I have two toddlers so the food must be kid-friendly. There are very few recipes in this book that I am not interested in. Everything I have made so far is simple, quick, and delicious! Plus, you don't need a lot of exotic or expensive ingredients to make exquisite meals. This is definitely a worthwhile investment!

This book was published in 1939. We used this song book in the Baptist churchs that I grew up in and there are so many wonderful songs; many have parts and harmony. The music has shape notes. We still use this book at reunions and family gatherings around our piano. It is the best. I hope it will be published again for selling, as it is a keeper!

This recipe book is great! The recipes are simple yet delicious! Most of the ingredients are common and are already found on hand in your kitchen. This book contains every kind of fish recipe imaginable. It has appetizers, main courses, microwave, pan-fry, and baked seafood dishes.

If you are just getting started with Flash or would like to know how to do some advanced things with it, this book is a must have. Flash can be somewhat difficult when starting out, but with this book and a cup of joe, you are good for hours of Flash Design!
