After spending a whole day searching for these hard to find 911 study guides, i chose this one because this was the only one that would ship within 2 days. none of the bookstores around here had one so i spent $37 to ship it next day. well, this book was very thorough and the tests were pretty good. I suggest you skim through the whole thing before taking the first test. The first test is about radio telecommunications equipment and that wasn't needed on the CritiCall test I took. The actual test i took was on the computer and it was much harder than I had anticipated. I suggest if you want to pass this test, you need to start practicing typing a series of letters and numbers (vin), addresses, phone numbers and start thinking like a 911 operator. When you read or hear a situation, started thinking about the who, what, where, why, when and how. That's very important in real life.

The book explained in detail how to purchase furniture andwhat to be aware of when buying from discount stores. It also gave alist of all of the reputable stores in North Carolina - HighPoint.

I use this book often to go along with my music history course. It was shipped in good time and my students find it interesting.

The Dummies series lives on and this small desktop companion is a handy reference. If you're a Dummies series fan, you may benefit more by spending a little extra on this book's big brother "Access 2002 for Dummies" because it goes into more depth than the brief introductions in the "Quick Reference" version.

I thought most consultants keep this kind of information to themselves. This book is worth its weight in gold.

I've tried a few other tutorials but somehow none seem very comprehensive, just listing here's how to do this thing, here's how to do that thing. I liked this book because it started off with long exercises using the pen tool. I had to do some of them a couple of times and quickly got the hang of it! This was the first book that walked me through all of the basics in a methodical way. For that I am appreciative and am writing this review. I finally know Illustrator!

My recommendation after using the workbook is to practice, practice, practice...

Book One details methods for building music.

Other introductory books fall prey to one of two approaches: all music theory with no explanation or the "riff" approach with little musical background. Davison bridges the gap by teaching the student to build music from components of rhythm, tone and technique.

Upon completion of this book, with some practice, the student should be able to play many cool sounding rock-type licks and he should understand why the notes sound good together.

The strongest area of the book is the section on minor pentatonic positions. After mastering this section, the reader will be able to play the entire length of the guitar in the most important and often-used type of scale in modern guitar. Davison then applies the scale theory with even more riffs.

A great starting point for anyone, regardless of their musical background.

I have read the book "The Advanced Hitter" and I feel that the author(s) did a splendid job conveying their ideas in an easy to understand fashion while tackling the not so easy job of explaining how to approach the most difficult feat in all sports, hitting a baseball/softball.

In addition to the detailed description there are pictures depicting the various approaches so the reader can get a clearer understanding of the authors intent.

"The Advanced Hitter" is a book I would recommend to an adult or a child (12 & above) as a book to keep handy while learning the art of hitting.
