Great research material

This book explains Mr. Bearden's electromagnetic theories based on Tesla's research and work. It's pretty much straight-forward to follow with minimal mathmatical skills. If you are researching into Tesla's work GET THIS! Even if you are conservative to the point of disregarding Mr. Bearden's EM theory, get it for the copies of magazine articles and newspapers of the time. It's very worth it!

GOOD INTRO MATERIAL ON TESLA NOT FOUND ANYWHERE ELSE

THIS BOOK BY MR. BEARDEN IS AN EXCELLENT SOURCE OF TECHNICAL MATERIAL ON TESLA'S SECRET RESEARCH THAT IS NOT FOUND IN ANY OTHER ACCESSIBLE KNOWN SOURCE. THE MATERIAL USES SOME ELECTROMAGNETIC THEORY BUT SHOULD BE EASY TO FOLLOW IF YOU HAVE HAD AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING COURSE OR TWO. HOWEVER, EVEN THIS SHOULD NOT PREVENT THE GENERAL READER FROM ENJOYING THE NONTECHNICAL MATERIAL CONCERNING TESLA. IT EVEN HAS SOME OLD NEWSPRINT AND MAGAZINE ARTICLES ON TESLA'S VARIOUS INVENTION ANNOUNCEMENTS

I have studied in Ghana and continue to study and teach this music here in Philadelphia, and this book has enough substance to feed a small country of song hungry drummers. Also, it seems the Author also sings and plays the support drums, lead vocal and chorus (overdubbed); which is really incredible because the CD sounds so Ewe~! A must have for anyone who values beauty and hard work!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this, but this book turned out to be really fun to read! Part storytelling, part anthropology, part language lessons, the book introduces not just songs from six different tribal groups but a sense of how they see the world. The songs are translated, plus the pronounciations written out, and you can play the CD and read along with it - a great help if you want to try singing or drumming the music.

Superb Job

Published by the U. of South Carolina Press, these 300 recipies are collected from South Carolina Wildlife Magazine. They represent the tried and true results from long experimentation with Native American, European, African, and Caribbean cooking of foods taken straight out of their natural surroundings.

You can eat at expensive 5 star restaurants, but you won't find more delicious meals than what you can make yourself using these recipies.

The compliers tell you up front that this book is "for people not too uptight to try a 'dash' of this and a 'dollop' of that, but particular enough to know that sometimes only one brand name is the right one."

Both freshwater and saltwater foods are extensively covered as are pretty much any sort of bird, small game, and, of course, deer.

The shellfish section is especially good, with 15 pages on shrimp alone.

Even vegetarians will find this book a gold mine. The 20 page section on wild plants includes treats like crabapple jelly, huckleberry pie, and wild muscadine juice, and some unusual vegetable treats like squashpuppies or cattail pancakes that can be washed down with sassafrass tea.

Marinades and Sauces get almost 20 pages to themselves, and though not singled out for a separate section, jambalaya and etouffe dishes are here too.

The great world beyond the Southeast has never grasped how well we eat down here, but if you just read this book--much less actually savor the fare--you'll find yourself turning a jaundiced eye towards the uniform, homogenized cuisine of modern life.

Excellent Cookbook for any Wild Game Lover

Southeastern Wildlife Cookbook is the best wild game cookbook I have ever read. I come from an outdoors family and this book has some of the best recipes and tips I have ever used. The recipes are very simple and easy to follow. I used to struggle when having to cook wild game, not any more. From deer to fish to wild turkey recipes this book has it all and then some. This cookbook is a GREAT gift idea to anyone who loves to hunt or fish.

This cookbook has been around for over 20 years. It has great, easy recipes that are easy for the busy mom to fix. Be sure to try the Elegant Chicken. The Flower Pot Dessert is one that is easy to assemble and will certainly be a topic of discussion at any function. The Utility Club of Griffin, Georgia first printed this book as a fundraiser over 20 years ago. My mom was in the club at the time and has recipes in the book. So far, over 20,000 copies have been sold. The Utility Club still sells The Stuffed Griffin as it continues to be a money-maker. We are a service organization with all of our proceeds going directly back into our community. If you don't already have this book, you need it!

Great book, easy recipes!

My mom gave me an older copy of the book when I moved out on my own. I've gotten the new version and enjoy it just as much. It really surprises the wife to see delicious London Broil thrown together in 30 minutes. Drawback: She's threatened to chain me to the stove.

I received my Jyl Steinback cookbook "Supermarket Gourmet" and it is fantastic! I also ordered, and received her "Busy Mom's Slow Cooker" and her "Cook Once, Eat for a Week" cookbooks through Amazon. Each cookbook shows how to cook simple but healthy meals, they all have easy instructions and come with a nutrient breakdown. Excellent books for a very good price!

Great for busy households!

I really appreciated how this book works with readily-available items at the store to get healthy dinners on the table in a snap. This book is ideal if you are a working parent or just have little time or inclination to cook elaborate meals. This book contains recipes with far fewer prep steps than Jyl's normal books. (See her "Busy Mom" book also for super fast recipes) It's been fun to flip through and find many recipes I know I could whip together in a snap because we have all the ingredients and she's cleverly combined them into something delicious. Worth a try and you can't beat the price.

Picked up this little jewel at the San Antonio Airport. I realized I had the recipes for desserts I had read about in magazines, books & fancy restaurants. Tried several and received high praise for my efforts. This book is a small collection of cakes, cobblers and pies; a collection of the most rich and famous of the South. All the ingredients are identified (no boxes) and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Personal notes from the author are nice, too. I also bought this book for cookbook collector friends.

Very fast paced story with lots of interesting (strange)characters.

We have a romantic hero, a failed love interest, a intriguing yet undeveloped romance and a great topical, flowing mystery story.

This story has so many messages, that it is more than the typical adventure-mystery.

Andy Combs,(our hero)is to thwart the Terrorist, the government and the mystical con men of the world. An easy read at 224 pages. While slowly absorbing the terrific characters, I was able to finish in about two hours.

I liked the quick ending, it doesn't keep you waiting too long.

CINEMATIC THRILLER

It's easy to picture David Rowlett's "Those Who Know" as a movie. Starring a bitter private eye who lives in his Mercedes and won' t carry water for the FBI (which plainly wants him to), the book features snappy dialogue and a summer blockbuster plot: a gadget that can quell nuclear explosions goes missing and everyone - from religious fanatics to international terrorists - wants it. Or seems to. A surprising (albeit exhausting) plot line and memorable characters make for a story that Matt Damon or Nicole Kidman could have a great time playing.

i've owned this book/guide for 5 years and can still come up with different combinations of yoga sets and meditations. i say "almost everything" because having access to a Kundalini Yoga teacher would make this complete, but you can't go wrong with this guide alone. as stated by another reviewer, we are truly blessed to have Guru Rattana provide this knowledge in a truly usable format.
