Outstanding! Great TNT recipes and crafts from all over

I LOVE this book, and everyone on my gift list to whom I have given it has loved it as well. The recipes are the tried-and-true favorites of Gooseberry Patch's staff members and customers from all over the country. Almost all are preceded by brief descriptions (usually about why they're family favorites and/or popular with guests), and many have unique packaging ideas. The illustrations are also warm and wonderful (and provide many ideas for one's own gift-giving).

This is a warm, wonderful book. I love it, and highly recommend it.

Although I have over 2,000 cookbooks, this is one of my top favorites. It contains recipes from customers all over the country -- and almost all are preceded by descriptions of why their family loves them, how many people beg for them, etc. Many also include directions for packaging as gifts. The book also contains cute illustrations, many of which provide great ideas for decorating one's own gift containers. There are also a number of quotations, some of which you may want to incorporate in your own crafts. There is nothing fancy about this book or the recipes -- it is primarily down home cooking, and everything I've tried has been delectable -- from layered cookie mix in a jar to main dishes. VERY highly recommended.

Classroom Classics is a wonderful collection of plays. The plays are baised on storyies like, Little Women, Tom Sawyer, Treasure Island, the Secret Garden, and many others. They have quizes and word searches after every story. It also has a teachers book which is extremaly helpful. I loved this book.

Juicy!

I had used one of Josephine's other books, and decided to give this one a try; kids just love it. The idea is do one of the mini plays as an introduction to the reading of the book. I think it's fun to use these plays to generate some enthusiasm, and then let kids choose which book they'd like to read. All of the tests, vocabulary, games, etc. are included, which is what I like about her teaching texts. Easy on the teacher!

Who doesn't love quirky people? They are what makes life interesting.
THE COLOR CHARTREUSE is a book of short stories/essays full of quirky people guaranteed to make you smile out loud. There's 4-year old Greg, who, with broken leg, gives speeches through the sunroof of an aging VW beetle (when he's not guarding against the tooth fairly with a baseball bat); Cousins Anna Mae and Ezra, who, during WWII, save Westchester County from the Nazis (when they're not tearing their house apart--literally--to look for a pot of gold); Big Brother Dave, who convinces his little sister that the road in front of their house leads to heaven (when the school bus isn't taking kids to school)...and other funny anecdotes of friends, relatives, etc. Anyone with friends, neighbors, and relatives will relate to the quirkiness found in THE COLOR CHARTREUSE.

His first hand experience can help anyone interested in starting their own business. I encourage everyone who wants honest and researched marketing facts to read his book. He is extremely motivating and positive. His book should be regarded as the constitution of small and large businesses.

One of the best tools ever written for business/marketing.

This book is a practical guide for the business owner and for anyone who wishes to be self-employed. It is also a wonderful tool for anyone in marketing. It is full of techniques and secrets you would pay thousands of dollars for at seminars. The text is easy to understand and written with a wonderful sense of humor. And as it states on its back cover, "Don't let your competition learn these secrets before you do!" I emphatically encourage you to read this book.

Great book

Masaya Yamaguchi has written a very intelligent work entitled "The Complete Thesaurus of Musical Scales" originally printed by Charles Colin in 1999. In Appendix I of Charles Colin edition, Yamaguchi had already established a mapping of his work on the nomenclature of Allen Forte. In 2006, the revised edition (also available from Jamey Aebersold) was released using the newer notation system, which encourages the imaginative formation of scales that bridge between tonal and atonal music. This book helps me to deepen my scale/harmony knowledge. For example, harmonic *major* scale (i.e. 1 2 3 4 5 b6 7) is the latest addition to the list of required scales at Boston's conservatory, Berklee College of Music. But this is only one of possibilities (i.e. 7-32M). As Yamaguchi's book says, we have 66 possibilities in 7-note scale category: By consulting Yamaguchi's Thesaurus, we can try some other non-diatonic scales in a systematic manner. Because of the Coltrane's reference myth, many people go to Slominsky's Thesaurus. However, the truer story about John Coltrane was that he went to the Granoff School of Music and studied with Dennis Sandole (also known as Pat Martino guitar teacher). At the Granoff School of Music, Coltrane asked kinds of `possibilities' questions - "How many possibilities of 7-note scales are there?" etc. As far as his own Down Beat "Coltrane on Coltrane" essay said, Yusef Lateef inspired him to explore exotic/non-diatonic languages (i.e. Coltrane did not mention Sandole in his own words). Whatever Coltrane sought for, we can get all of answers to the `possibilities' questions from "The Complete Thesaurus of Musical Scales" - Yamaguchi represents the intervallic architecture of the assorted scales more than ancient Greek astronomers could do. This is the greatest reference tool on scales (and, of course, grouped-note harmonies/clusters) I've ever own. In this point of view, I will give 5 stars to this book though I'd never recommend this book to novices at improvising/composing (except aspiring beginners - they can keep this scale dictionary in their library until they musically improved).

Guitarist Masaya Yamaguchi's article "Note Groups of Limited Transposition: A Key to Unlocking Multitonic Change Possibilities" has been published in Down Beat (Sept.2000) on p.70. The author activates the knowledge of his Thesaurus book in Coltrane Changes - Multitonic Changes. This book is GREAT!!! "The Complete Thesaurus of Musical Scales" is a meta-contribution to music pedagogy, of a high standard.

If you are a fan of Seth and Abraham and conscious change then this book is for you. If you find yourself wondering exactly why Law of Attraction works this book will give you the insight that you desire. This book will be a staple on my bookshelf alongside my Seth and Abraham libraries. You will read this book over and over and gain new insights each time!

If any of you enjoyed Jane Roberts' books on Seth, the creation of reality, this book by Ramon Stevens is like the best icing and the best ice cream. It takes you from the basest element of life through creation of planets, sun, moon, earth, etc. in such a new light. It covers eloquently difficult concepts for grasping, about laws of attraction and rejection, relationships, peace, etc.. This book was like many ah-ah moments for me. I still love my complete Seth library of Jane Roberts' books, and I just feel richer in emotion and spirit somewhat that I feel so fortunate and blessed to have stumbled upon this book. As I was most eager a student, my teacher appeared! I also liked that this book was manuscript sized with a black spiral spine, that I took it around places with me wherever I went, for I could not put it down. I have found excerpts I wanted to share with friends to suggest this reading to them. I give this book 5 stars.

My husband and I use this book quite often. This book suggests recipes and menu ideas that are perfect for two people. The portions and cooking times are ideal for a couple. We were always cooking too much food before but now we have a full meal without any waste.

I bought this book about a month ago. So far I have tried about a half dozen recipes, and they have all been good. This is easy fare, not fancy stuff with a dozen ingredients and hours in the kitchen. I wanted a recipe book with easy, yet tasty, American home-style cooking. This recipe book has been the best I've bought!

This book is a must-have baking book. The recipes in it are so great, I wish I could make them all at once! They're easy to follow and always come out great. And it's Gooseberry, so there are some nice sayings and cute illustrations.

Country Baking is one of the best Gooseberry Patch cookbooks on the market- especially if you love to bake. I particularly love the recipe for pumpkin biscuits and ginger molasses biscuits. The Farmhouse buttermilk bread is also excellent.

For those who aren't familiar with Gooseberry Patch, each book is filled with great recipes and cute pencil illustrations. Add this one to your collection!

I recently ordered this book, and what can I say? It's another excellent book in the Gooseberry Patch collection. "Country Friends Good Times," explores and celebrates friendship and is packed with neat gift ideas and homey treats, sure to make a friend, family member or spouse feel loved!

There are fewer recipes in this book than in other books in the Gooseberry Patch collection, but the charming (and copyable) pages are filled with over 205 delightful and cheery craft ideas, recipes, and just plain kind thoughts which will delight everyone.

Don't miss this one, if you love the cute illustrations in the books by Vickie & JoAnn. You won't be disappointed. =-)

I love this book!

There is lots of humor (which will especially appeal to chocolate lovers!) and lots of inspiration. This book is excellent for women everywhere!
