When I got this book as a gift from my brother-in-law's mother, who lives in Ireland, I thought that is was going to be a boring autobiography on some unknown artist. Of course, I was totally wrong. In all,I have read this book about 7 times, and I never cease to tire of it. It has complete info of this man's life, and in between it gives beautiful illustrations and stories of his stained glass art. I was taken away, and I still can't believe the great care this man has taken to create, out of his own hands, these masterpieces. This book has even gave me the want to go to these churches and see firsthand what Harry Clarke made. I totally urge to read this book, and you will treasure it as I do and will forever.

This book for me was like looking through the perfect lens. The clearity of the scriptures that i have read all my life were made life for me!! I found Thielicke's understanding of our Savior and His way for our world a comfort and a light to my path!! His books need to made available to layman more. I found his book on the back shelf of our chuch library. It had not been read since 1987. I am glad I found it!!

THIS BOOK IS THE BIOGRAPHY OF A CONTEMPARY OF MY GREAT GRANDFATHER'S. COLLINSON WAS WELL KNOW AND BETTER RESPECTED IN THIS AREA. HIS STORY HAS GREAT MERIT IN THAT IT IS AN EYEWITTNESS ACCOUNT OF THE FRONTIER FROM A MAN WHO WAS ALWAYS VALUED FOR THE VERICITY OF HIS MEMORY.

A very helpful book to use in devotions and prayer. Faith is the basis of our walk with God and I found this book to be biblical, practical and very helpful in me walk with God.

Each poem is a boffo statement of realtalk feelings, unadulterated wha? I'm stoked to the bone by dear Tom's truthtalk, we love you baby! Most readers don't know that Tom Clark once fought for the North American Featherweight title, losing by TKO in the 4th round, and that he played Hamlet on the New York stage! He is most definitely our soul hero, number one. We never shop spamazon, but if we did we'd buy this book!

This is a great little book packed with a lot of good imformation hard to find anywhere else.

Jarvis Clark sets out to share some of the many learning experiences which were very helpful to him through life. He does it with candor and wit. Often, in our pre-packaged world where so many thing some as a "wrap," we are given a pap instead of the whole grain product. Clark's book is the Whole Grain without the soft sell of slick packaging. His straight forward approach to life is refreshing. Many of us, under the influence of mass media forget to take a look at the personal learning experiences some have to offer. I suggest you give Jaarvis Clarke his chance to share with you real human thoughts.

I got this book as a gift from a dear friend. It said so much! I'm not sure how Helen was able to find so many dear ways to express that real love and understanding between friends - but they are humorous and touching. Fun to read again and again, and fun to read with your dear friend.

Although you might think of this book as intended for children because of its size and subject, "The Littlest Teddy Bear Book" is really for adults. The quotes throughout talk of everyone's favorite childhood toy, their teddy bear, and how we miss him.

And the accompanying illustrations fit the quotes they're paired with perfectly. Their emotions run the gamut from sad to happy.

I highly recommend "The Littlest Teddy Bear Book" to every adult.

Amazing book. The real account of a Southern heroine from North Carolina, Mary Bayard Clarke. She travels early America, including Texas and Cuba (you can certainly see she lives up to her motto, the title "Life your own life"). The historical detail and meticulous research by the authors brings out her rich and wonderful writing and poetry. I recommend it as a great addition for any Civil War or North Carolina history buff.
