Dart lovers will enjoy this book. No doubt all readers will be delighted with the well laid out history of the car along with some cool pictures of this very serious Dodge.

Daphne du Maurier was a consummate artist and Forster's excellent biography portrays her sympathetically, yet realistically. To begin to understand du Maurier one must understand that she considered fantasy more exciting than the real world. A child of privilege, Daphne grew up in a highly social and colorful artist's family, yet she greatly valued being alone. Her work was very lucrative, yet she spent much more money to help family and friends than on herself. Her writing is part of college curriculum and extremely popular. She was accepted into the Order of Knighthood for her contribution to the arts. Forster's apparently well-researched biography is written in a casual style, often humorous. Many people have something to say about Daphne and I found her own quotes the most interesting, yet, chameleon-like, she eludes the reader and remains mysterious.

With about 100 new recipes ranging from appetizers to soups and stews to main courses and even sausages and jerkies, this is the most comprehensive wild duck and goose cookbook I've ever seen. It's summertime, so I tried the Barbecued Goose with Cumberland Sauce Recipe on page 46--and boy was it delicious! My wife and kids even loved it, and they're usually not very big on wild game. But best of all, the recipe was really easy to make. In fact, looking over the book, all the recipes seem simple and straight forward...no hard to find ingredients or hard to follow preparation methods. The author really knows her stuff, and I, for one, am very grateful she is sharing it with us. I can hardly wait for the fall hunting season to come!

I had a chance to read this book when it was still in manuscript form. It's an excellent fast moving adventure story for any person that likes high adventure. The book is any easy read with outstanding pen and ink Illustrations. But it's the story line that stands out the best, as all the characters seem real with interesting personalities and with stories within stories. The book is void of sex and violence and instead uses themes such as courage, determination and triumph. I can highly recommend "Dutch Clarke’s Journals" as it's a story of love, redemption and survival.

I have a 2 year old son who LOVES this book! We originally checked it out from the library, but ended up buying our own copy. It's a very original adaptation of the traditional song. The illustrations are very creative as well. The surprise ending is great!

Great book for any young child!

My daughter Niamh (age 3) and I love sitting down to Eddie and His Teddy's adventures. All of the series have a fantastic rhyme which makes it as interesting for me as it is for Niamh. The story is as exiciting or as "settling" as the intonation of the reader so is suitable for bed time reading or sofa capers!!

Plainly stated, 13,000 children will died in the world today due to water borne diseases. This will not happen in America because of the un-recognized work of Ellen S. Richards. She is the most shameful example of sex discrimination in the 20th century. She taught most of the so called great civil engineers that developed America's water and wastewater infrastructure in the first half of the last century. She ranks far ahead of Einstein, Newton, Madonna, Jane Fonda, Monica, Oprah, Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe, the Kennedy's and Rush. And to think that she came along at a time when most men thought an education should not be wasted on a woman. If you are reading this review, the chances are real good that you are alive today because of work of Ellen Richards. If you woke up this morning, it's because she made a difference in her life time.

We have Martin L. King Day for civil rights and that's good. But we should declare Earth Day in May to be Ellen Swallow Richards Day and be thankful for clean water.

She died in 1911, but stated a clear warning that applies today. "America must not confuse growth with maturity". Hence the problem with America today.

Folks, you will enjoy reading and learning from this book and will grow as a result. Mr. Clarke has done a great service in providing this resource for all of us.

My sister in law is a die hard Elvis fan (probably in the womb.) She has all the books you can think of. I know somehow she spoke with the author a few times, after reading the book, and I must say her review was true. I read it in 2 days and I could not put it down, like her! She purchased 20 copies for family members and I was so very happy to get one, even after I finished reading it. My mother in law also has a book on Jackie from before and the writer is very much appreciated and it is obvious the hard work put into it. It even inspired my sister in law to go to Memphis and see Graceland as soon as possible, although she was always afraid to go alone. This book has encouraged her to do so. I was very impressed and my sis in law has great taste!

This book has 180 different sauces, from foundation and classic sauces, to marinades, fruit sauces, pasta sauces,etc. There's even a section entitled "what goes with what." A basic, useful, and interesting resource to have in your kitchen library.
