Color Therapy Practioners Must

If you work in any fashion of color therapy, this book is a must. Alot information based on Dinshah's studies and many others who followed. Clark speaks of many testimonies and research that go back to 50 years plus in endless case studies of the certain effects of colors and how they healed the human body thru light therapy. I found it to be a wealth of information and even then some with many aspects that clark covers with her intensive research on all avenues of color. Copyrighted in 1975.

Practical little book on color therapy

This is a small book, with practical techniques for color healing, written in an easy to read format. It has a lot of interesting stories - case histories - related to the use of color healing through self-hypnosis. Among other things, you'll find out how to rejuvenate yourself with color therapy, stories of couples who were unable to conceive and have successfully used color therapy and many others.

This deck was all I expected it to be. Beautiful Art Work, representing the Goddesses & Heroines of Ancient times. This IS the deck of wisdom card to have on hand, they are beautiful to look & contemplate their details and images. And for the price, this deck of wisdom cards are a steal, buy them for yourself, or anyone who loves the Goddesses & Heroines of old.
Blessings,

If you like Greek Goddesses this is for you!

This deck consists entirely of goddesses and heronines from greek Mythology. If you have a particular interest in Greek deities this deck is definatly for you. I love it - the art work is amazing and each card has a key word on it and then in the booklet you can learn more about the message and the myth of who that goddess was. A great way to learn more about lesser known Greek female figures too. I didn't realize how many there were and they all have such beautiful things to teach us. I highly recommend this.

A literary approach to reading Biblical poetry
Helpful Votes: 17 out of 18 total.
Review Date: 2004-12-08
Alter continues here what he started in ' The Art of Biblical Narrative' and applies the techniques of literary criticism to the Biblical text. He does not discard Lowth's discovery of parallelism as the key technique of Biblical poetry but rather sharpens and intensifies the meaning of this concept. He shows the way different kind of parallelism operate in the text. He illustrates how intensification of meaning comes through repetition and variation. He closely reads some of the great Biblical poetry.
This is a wonderful work for all those who love the Bible and all those who love Poetry.

This book should never be out of print

This is one of the books that I was supposed to read for a class but didn't get around to it until now. I am halfway through this book and it is one of the most readable academic books that I've read. It is no wonder that Robert Alter has set and will set the standards by which Biblical litery criticism is judged.

The Bible comes alive under his translations and his insights into the text make this old book new and exciting.

"Poetry For All"

I do not like poetry. I prefer simple, to-the-point writing. This poetry is to-the-point. Even those with poetry ignorance, such as myself, can appreciate this poetry.
I especially liked the short poems about jealousy, love, and hope. For the poetry-avoiders, read this.

"As-I-Learn Poetry or I Can Write and So Can You: A Spiritual Aproach" contains poems that are humorous as well as poems that are serious, poems that are light as well as poems that are deep. All of the poems comment on life and humanity in ways that broaden our understanding. The book, however, has an even grander purpose besides and that is to help beginning writers acquire the necessary tools and mindset to improve their craft, while teaching them lessons that will help not only with their writing but their living as well.

For any aspiring poet or writer who needs some extra advice for their craft.

It is said that everyone has at least one good novel in them, but "As-I-Learn Poetry: or I Can Write and So Can You - A Spiritual Approach" believes it can apply to poetry as well. Although filled with grand, elaborate poetry throughout, "As-I-Learn Poetry: or I Can Write and So Can You - A Spiritual Approach" acts as a guide to make the reader a better writer, whether it be for poetry or pose, explaining vital life lessons and knowledge that should be available to all. Highly recommended to both poetry and writing shelves alike, and for any aspiring poet or writer who needs some extra advice for their craft.

If you've followed the career of Masami Teraoka and love his work you will also love this book. There are plenty of his earlier works all the way up to the present. The text adds insight into the mind of the artist and his complicated and original process.
The reproductions of his artwork are of good quality. It is truly a collector's item.

A Superb Companion Guide

Review Date: 2007-09-23
The is a very handy guide for anyone working their way through the exercises in Franz Bardon's books. Clark successfully address many questions that the beginning or advanced student may have and clears up some of Bardon's concepts that have become difficult to understand in the translation from the German language.

I highly suggest that you look at Rawn's website, where much of this material is available. You can also order a new copy his book there for a fraction of what it is being sold for elsewhere.

Great help to Aspiring Bardonists!

The hermetics of Franz Bardon are of interest to some occultists. While different in many ways from Golden Dawn Hermetics (primarily in that the 1st book has no ceremony, and very little ritual), but is just as fastinating.

Bardon has some techniques and teachings that are less discussed than in other hermetic or occult works. This book helps both students new to the area, as well as those interested from other mystery schools to try and integrate Bardon's theory/practice to their own.

The book is an IDEAL companion to the Bardon book series. It will help those students who may be having a difficult time grasping some of the points in the book. I wish I had come across something like this when I started, as it probably would have helped me save a great deal of time. Be advised, while you can buy a hardcopy from the website you can also read most of it for free too, if you're looking to not spend money on it.

Thus book was a labor of love. With years of experience as a lifeguard and surfer, John's curiousity went beyond. He studied oceanography, read all he could, and interviewed all those who knew anything about each beach. The result is the best source of information that will ever be available about Hawaiian beaches.
