I couldn't wait for this revised version of the Volume One: Upper Limb to be released, and I was not disappointed. Unlike the traditional Kapandji figures, the volume is in full color, but in the same style of illustration as before. In most cases, the color adds to the understanding of the concept and is not just gratuitous. In addition, however, there is much more detailed explanation of the mechanics, more clinical application, and the addition of some intruiging questions in biomechanics such as "Codman's Paradox" and "Why Does the Forearm Have Two Bones?"

This is a thoroughly delightful expansion of a work that I first discovered in 1976 and which has changed little since then. The drawings remain incomparably lucid, yet detailed. Interestingly, this edition includes an index, something that has been missing from previous editions of any of the 3 volumes. Yet, there is no bibliography, which was included in the 5th Edition of Volume 2: Lower Limb.

My only criticism is that Elsevier has not made a teaching slide set (CD) of the drawings available to those of us who use these in our lectures.

Deceptively simplistic, this volume offers valuable insights into the movement of the joints. It arrived in beautiful condition and has been a valuable resource.

Perfect size to fit in your coat pocket! This companion book to the Gabbe's Obstetrics is the right amount of detail for what you can quickly absorb about any obstetric topic. Same great figures, tables, and diagrams as the original. I carried it with me on Labor and Delivery as a medical student and as an intern. It also serves as a good review for exams.

After reading the Hebrew edition of this book, I realized the importance of the integrative approach of Dr. Solberg to the fields of posture and movement.
A reader's friendly, yet supplied with professional up to date scientific literature, this book is a must have for the movement and musculo- skeletal therapist.

Very well organised and nicely written with an excellent depth and breadth of subject matter. This book is a "must have" for any anaesthesiologist or anaesthetist sitting examinations.

This text book is an excellent reference for epidemiologists and health professionals who need to establish surveillance systems. The text book takes the beginner by the hand and explains what to do (what are the essential tasks required to decide, what data do you need to collect, and what for what specific purpose you might use it) and how to do it (steps to take and considerations in management of systems and quality control) and how to make sense of the data you've collected (data analyses).

Not only is this text for beginners, but also for seasoned epidemiologists and other health professionals who are branching out into disease surveillance. I endorse it wholeheartedly.

As a practising Pathologist I find Silverberg very useful for reference. It is a must for any Pathologist
