Chang Books

A well-made collection of Krazy Kat postcards, for sharing the joy that is Krazy and Ignatz. If your only desire is to see some Krazy Kat strips, you're probably better off buying the Fantagraphics collections of Sunday strips, but this offers a chance to see some of the daily strips, collections of which can be harder to find. One panel is shown on the front, in full color, while the rest of the strip is in black and white on the back. The strips on the back are small but not too difficult to read, and there is plenty of room for a personalized message. The strips are mostly amusing, and typical of the series. A great way to introduce a friend to Krazy!

Good novel, great Chinese woman writer. Don't miss it.

For the fact that the book was written just a few years after Li's death, information was fresh and probably quite accurate. I just wish that the book has a lot more photos. I enjoyed reading it.

Packed with gorgeous photographs. Great design inspiration. Mostly interiors and "patio" settings of current homes, many overlooking hills. Not a historical record, this book features contemporary homes, many with mediterranean and modern design influences mixed with the Majorcan architecture and palette.

This is a good introductory book in performance measurement. It offers a team approach methodology for organizations desiring improvement. It is an excellent pratical guide for the novice.

The book is written in English and Cambodian but takes place in Taiwan. The book says it is a Chinese folktale. It has large color illustrations.

The author presents a timely discussion of a serious public health threat. The stories of the patients serve to illustrate how serious MRSA infections can be. As a health care professional, I learned a few things about MRSA that I had not previously realized.

This is one of the best guides for mushroom cultivators. I enjoy very much this book

Exceptional folio-sized atlases contain full-color and two-colors that illustrate the Topography, Geology, Climate, Soil, Forest & Land Use, Communications, Administrative, Cities and Provinces, Population (1966), Irrigation, Agricutlural Production, Mineral and Resources, Hydro-electric Power Systems, Industry (1962), Scenic and Historical. Endpage maps show Taiwan Straits on the inside cover, the world with Taiwan at its center, on the back inside cover. Text and Index is in English and Chinese. These are a treasure.

The only drawback of this book is its brief length. The authors describe numerous archaeological finds made in China during the 1960s. Included in the text are some colour photos of a few finds. Like a pretty set of pottery figurines from the Western Han Dynasty of 206 BC - 24 AD. The colours are still vivid after 2000 years. And the set appears quite complete. Though perhaps this reflects some restoration done by the authors.

Other photos show jade clothes that have been sewn with gold thread. As well as gold and silver bowls, heavily embossed. Some finds are indeed fragile, like silk shoes from the Tang Dynasty or a silk damask.
