Carter Books

Just got my copy of Big Book of Logos 3 and I'm putting it to use already. I was just asked to design a logo and find this book a useful mind dump of 2,500 logos to get my brain cells working. My David Carter book collection has grown over the years and I find them a good place to start whenever I'm kicking off a new design project.

I always look forward to "The Big Book of Logos" series. This is a wonderful source to "go to" when our designers need inspiration for a new job. The images are large enough to see the details, that's important. Our firm has been in three out of five books. That tells us that there is some credibility with the Carter-Stephens team, not everyone gets in! Keep up the good work!

"Big Picture People" will stretch you! The personal examples, anecdotes and thought-provoking quotes and bullet points will stop you cold in your tracks and make you think--and then act. The chapter on "Commitment" alone, is worth the price of the book. I read it in 3 hours and have pages of notes to begin to apply Doug's thoughts and strategies. Thank you Doug for adding value to every Christian's life who is willing to invest a few of hours reading your valuable book and applying the thoughts therein.

Excellent book that covers all topics needed in a Foundations course for teachers that are working to obtain a Bilingual/ESL endorsement. The book covers the legal requirements for Bilingual education, gives pertinent court cases that have impacted the education of LEP studnets and gives an comprehensive history of bilingual education in the United States. The section of the effectiveness of bilingual education was thought provoking and created much class discussion, as did the section giving case studies. The teachers were able to relate thier own classroom experiences and compare those with the case studies. The book has a chapter on Indian education that was very useful to our district on a reservation.The section on theroy to practice was determined to by the teachers to be very productive.

This is a great book to take to bed and lay there, read it, and do it!! Give yourself an excellent sense of well being by finding the points where your energy is blocked and working those points. You'll be helping your body heal and will rest well, or become energized and ready to take on the world!! She writes a very easy to read, do it yourself book. I give these out to my friends. Excellent book for anyone who wants to help themselves heal, be healthy and feel better.

i pickeup up a copy of this book at a used book store after hearing about it on a chat room and was i suproised. its was a fasating tale, and it make the think about what was inportant to me.

Ambrose Armitage was my husband's great grandfather. I was priviledged to have read some of the original journals several years ago. I found them fascinating! The journals really give you an insight on what the day to day experiences of the soldiers were like. In addition, I felt like I really got to know Ambrose Armitage as a person. A person with such high morals and a wonderful family man. There are many family matters that he mentions in the journals. He even mentions his marital plans and how he met his future wife, Alice Bottomley. I could go on and on about the book, but reading it for yourself is the best way to realize it's beauty and interest as a story of an extraordinary man. Rita Babcock

I'm always on the lookout for new business/self-help books to recommend to my clients. They must provide quality information, be easy to read and follow, and inspire and motivate change. This one fits the bill perfectly. Great exercises throughout make it experiential as well as informative. You get that she knows what she's talking about and has been there herself. I also loved her upbeat approach and humor. It's like having a good friend holding your hand. I liked it and will continue to recommend it.
