I added this book to a ever growing treasure of Christmas books, and I had read the The Christmas Bus this past holiday so I wanted more of Melody. This was another decoration on my list as a beautiful young woman seeks out her biological family, specifically the grandmother she never knew..this begins an adventure for all involved and growth and Loved divided and multiplied, all because of the courage of one hopeful soul, I loved it, could have been longer, didn't want it to end.....

Awesome Bible

We have several children's Bibles. We read to our children from one of them every night and this one is by far our favorite. The illustrations are good. There is a color illustration on each page. But it is the text that I particularly like. We have a rhyming Bible, but it gets pretty silly at times in an attempt to keep the rhyme. Other children's Bibles seem over-simplified, leaving a lot out. But this one was just the right level for our preschool kids.

Great introduction to the Bible for kids

This is a fantastic first Bible book for children. Gold and Honey presents over 100 of the best-known Bible stories ranging from the Creation to the foretelling of the Second Coming. The stories are balanced to give about 50% to the Old Testament and 50% to the New. Each story can be read to a child in a few minutes, and children should be able to read the text (with some help) in the first grade or so. Each story has large, colorful, and fun illustrations. The book contains a topical index and the end, and a presentation page is included at the beginning to make this a perfect gift. As a family, we have been extremely pleased with this book, and have gotten plenty of use out of it.

I can't believe this book is out of print! It tell the story of an angel who sacrifices herself to be the Star of Bethlehem. The ending is so touching, so beautiful, that it makes me cry every time I read it. It is a book for children and grown-ups and should be on everyone's shelf to share during the holidays. Why oh why did it go out-of-print?! I hope the publishers reconsider and republish it next holiday season!

This is really a wonderful book not just for children but for adults also. It's the story of an angel named Grace who gives up her heavenly life to come to earth to help Jesus Christ from his birth to his mortal death. If you are really on the fence about organized religion this is the book you need to help you explain to young children about the Savior's mission. It will also help explain selfless love and caring.

The illustrations in the book were great, really help kids and adults stay interested. This book is a Christmas Tradition in our home!

This is a very informative common sense book. It makes one aware of the importance of keeping a living record of ones familymedical record. The playing cards are a great idea. This book is a must for every household and especially ffor a young family so they can start their children off to a life of good eating habits and exercise.

Harriet Tubman's life is inspirational. The events told here bring a vivid picture to the mind of the reader. It helps us in understanding how hard the life of the slave was and how precious was "freedom". A real eye-opener.

Real Teen Faith in a Mean-Girl World
Helpful Votes: 4 out of 4 total.

It's hard enough being a teen girl, but even harder when you've just moved cross-country and you make the cheerleading squad, knocking Miss Popularity from her long-time spot.

Reagan Mercer has problems at home as well. Her grandmother has Alzheimers, and it's up to Reagan to take care of her while her single mom works long hours.

In time, Reagan is invited into the inner circle, yet there's a steep price to pay for this mean-girl lifestyle. When a drinking party goes too far, Reagan has a choice to make - and having a new Christian friend helps.

This is the last book in Melody Carlson's amazing True Colors series, touching on topics that connect with postmodern teens, showing them the power of real faith in a tough world.

It's tough going to a new school, with a new set of cliques to figure out, but Regan Mercer knows how it works. She and her best friend from her former school developed a clissification system for rating friends. A, B, or C, with C being another word for desperation, and Regan's never been all that desperate.

She tries out for cheerleading and beats Kendra Farnsworth, who apparently considers herself the reigning queen of Belmont High. Now Regan has real problems. Kendra isn't the kind to lose gracefully, and she sets out to make life miserable for her new enemy. Then suddenly Kendra changes and decides to be friendly, but most things carry a price tag, and this friendship is no exception. Regan has some serious choices to make.
This is my first book in Melody Carlson's True Color series, and it's a book teenage girls will love. She gets her faith message across without being preachy, and the readers guide in the back of the book can open the way to a great discussion. I strongly recommend this one.

My high school daughter gave me a copy of this to read - I don't think it is even in the bookstores yet. But this one has bestseller written all over it. I can't wait until it catches on!

A true "family saga" type of novel - even men might like this one, because it is about sports and the law - but women are in for a real treat. The main characters in the book think and act just like we do!

I love the contemporary setting - Los Angeles in the 50's, 60's and 70's. All that happens during that time is mirrored in this story of "coming of age" and the conflicts we all have in life and love.

Well written and great description! I couldn't put it down until I got to the end. And then, I wished there was a sequel.

There isn't anything like this available on the market. An easy read that just doesn't give you one idea, but many. Having trouble communicating clearly with someone? This can help, it did for me. It truly saved my marriage.

The best self-help book I have ever read.

Usualy I get something from every book on self-help I read tidbits here and there. When I take a test or some profile, I feel they get close but something is missing. This one hit the nail on the head. I know now why I make the kinds of choices I make and how to get along better with my family! Read it. You will be glad you did.

This book was given to our first daughter when she was mearly one year old. She is three now and still loves this book and our now one year old loves it now too! The illustrations and words work conjunctively in the book to create such a wonderful learning/reading experience for parent and child. On each page the illustrations match the number written about (the number four is illustrated by autumn - there are 4 trees, 4 rakes, 4 children, 4 squirrels, 4 birds, etc.) It is a truly wonderful book. We have enjoyed this one so much we are now going to purchase the other books in the series.
