This is a must for anyone who desires a better understanding of eschatology from a Dispensational perspective. It is an accurate, articulate, easy to use reference that can be used by scholar and laymen alike.

I've read this book cover to cover and found that this book is long over due for the serious disciple. The authors give a fair and complete treatment of the topics discussed with opposing views taken into consideration. I found this read to be very enjoyable and informative. I would highly recommend this book to seminary students and bible scholars as well as the committed Christian as a must have. I paid full price at the time of publishing, and it was worth every penny...amazon's price is fair and reasonable for a long over due reference treatment of premillenial theology. Absolutely excellent book (but get the hard bound edition, this is no paper back by any means), you'll refer to it time and again.... enjoy. bob

This is one of the greatest collections of sermons ever brought together. The author G. Campbell Morgan was one of the great preachers of the early twentieth century. Introspective sermons ranging from "A profound question," to "Nehushtan" to "I have played to fool." This is a must for the Pastor or the Reverend. There are plenty of sermon ideas just waiting to be preached. This also doubles as a wonderful daily devoitonal series. With excellent binding and beautiful hard covers, this series is a classic that should not be overlooked in any minister's library. For the layman it's a pround collection of spiritually inspired sermons that will fill the soul for hours on end.

Morgan has the unmatched gift of expository preaching. There is so much knowledge and passion in the preaching of G. Campbel Morgan than can be covered in one simple comentary. I highly recomend this series to anyone seeking to add depth and insight to their minestry. Morgan is has the gift of opening the hidden secrtets of the word of God to the simple man. He is profound without being above understanding. If you don't buy a copy of this series you will regret it.

G. Campbell Morgan is one of the best expositors of God's Holy Word who has ever lived. The sermons in these volumes are refreshing to read and I have been able to grow in the Lord through them, though preached many years ago. Morgan's ministry still lives through his sermons.

The story in Pretend I'm Yours pulls you in at the beginning and doesn't let you go until the end. Most of the story takes place in Philadelphia, 1764. So yes, the politics of that time plays a large part of the tale.

Mercedes has a twin sister, Katherine. Katherine has run away from her abusive husband in Philadelphia, but has landed in an insane asylum in England. She convinces Mercedes to travel from England to Philadelphia, to get money from her husband to pay for her medical care. Once in Philadelphia, Mercedes meets Katherine's husband. In a split second decision, she decides to pretend she's Katherine. But upon meeting William, her brother-in-law, Mercedes sees he isn't the monster her sister had described. Nor, as the days advance, is anything quite like the way her sister described.

The romance, the love, and trust slowly builds between Mercedes and William. Nearly as satisfying is the love she offers his two children. But there is someone determined to kill William. And betrayal and treason are never far from mind. How the author wraps everything up for a satisfying ending is part of what makes Pretend I'm Yours such a wonderful read. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and look forward to reading more by this author. I'm sure you will, too.

Mercedes Maxwell is worried about her sister, Katherine. Committed to an insane asylum in England, Kat tells Mercedes of the horrible treatment she suffered from her brutal husband. Mercedes, determined to get monetary help from her brother-in-law, travels to Philadelphia to confront the situation in person. When she arrives though, circumstances force her to take on the identity of her twin and soon she's caught up in a web of lies. Concern for her sister drives her on though she can't believe her brother-in-law is the same man that mistreated his wife.

William Braxton is somewhat surprised and dismayed to find his self-absorbed wife is home again. The scheming woman could very well jeopardize his secret plans during the pre-days of war against England. When she begins to act nothing like the Kat he knew, he's more than suspicious. Suddenly, she's mothering his children and acting as if his touch isn't so repellant. Her mannerisms are different and soon the mere sight of her drives him mad with desire. Could she really be different now, or is it all another scheme on her part? He will have to tread carefully, for the Revolution is coming and all could be lost if he puts too much faith in his strange wife. He finds that, for once, he wants to have more than faith in her, he wants her love as well.

This was a wonderful book! I picked it up and in one day had read it straight through. Mercedes is a great character, one that brought all the different elements together as a whole and made the story work. Her plight, that of wanting to protect her seemingly innocent sister, combined with the secret machinations of Brandon's actions against the crown set the story up with multiple levels of mystery and intrigue. I found myself as caught up as Mercedes in figuring out Brandon's character and if he was really the bad man Kat made him out to be. Brandon is an exciting hero. Handsome and very hard to resist, I really enjoyed the scenes with him and Mercedes. Seeing him finally claim the woman he'd always wanted was both sweet and heart-racing erotic. Ms. Campbell writes their story with amazing skill and kept me hooked the whole book through. This is a great book to add to my keeper shelf and now I know for sure I need to seek out other works by this author.

Pretend I'm Yours is an exceptional masterpiece. This lovely story is so rich in detail and personalities that it just leaps out and grabs hold of the reader. From the moment I started reading about Mercedes and Katherine as they share their conversation, I was spellbound. Ms. Campbell carries the reader into a mirage of mystery with deceit, betrayal of the worst, and a passionate love revolving around the sisters, that makes this a whirlwind page-turner. Mercedes and William are astonishing characters that ignite the pages and allows the reader to experience all their deepening sensations. There were moments I could share in with their breathtaking romance, almost feeling the butterflies of love they emitted. This extraordinary read had me mesmerized with its ambiance, its characters and its remarkable twists and turns, making it one recommended read in my book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It had a wonderful romance within a believable science fiction story. For the majority of futuristic romances the two just don't meld.

Aster her friends are on a boat when it is taken hostage. She awakens to find herself in the futuristic world and a refugee never being able to return home. Despite all that the Innerworld can offer and her attraction to Romulus, Aster longs for home and fears her plans to save the world from ecconomic disaster will be ruined.
Romulus Locke is the Chief Admistrator for the Innerworld vying for the position of Governor. No matter that his future position is at stake he finds himself falling in love with Aster Mackenzie, a lowly Terran and in his quest for her he finds himself willing to throw away a lifetime's work for her.

On a personal note: Actually a good read.. very believable the combination of romance and time travel is well put together.

This is the start of the Dream series by Marilyn Campbell. In it we meet Aster, Romulus, Cherry (Stardust Dreams) and Falcon (Topaz Dreams).

I love futuristic romance - but the combo can be unworkable unless the author makes it believable. Marilyn Campbell has brought the two together and made it a love story that would work in any time frame. The Innerworld series is fantastic and just made for a vacation on a Caribbean Island - I know because I just spent a week on the beach glued to the pages of Pyramid of Dreams and its sequels - Topaz Dreams, Stardust Dreams, and Stolen Dreams. Read ALL of them and just let yourself float away.

Although this book is from 1979, and would appear to be replaced by the recent book Shadish, Cook, and Campbell, _Experimental and Quasi-Experimental Designs_ (2002), it is actually not redundant with the newer book as it explains a number of issues clearly that are omitted in SCC.

"Quasi-Experimentation" carries on the work begun by Campbell and Stanley in "Experimental and Quasi-Experimental Designs for Research." Beginning with a discussion of the positivist origins of science and evaluation research, it details a range of quasi-experimental approaches suitable to "real world" research, together with statistical techniques applicable to each. The book includes a realistic assessment of the barriers to randomization in natural settings, including the observation that true randomization is rarely used unless there is a marked power differential between the researcher and the subjects. The book is thoughtful, well-written, and invaluable.

This is a "must-have" book for anyone engaged in field research or a student of field research methods. The approach is to maximize validity of research findings based on a number of considerations in the design of field research. Examines the pit-falls made by most new and inexperienced field researchers and evaluators. Before you conduct your next program evaluation, design an applied research study, or start to collect dissertation data, read this book!

My daughter (4 yrs) and I first took this book out from the library. Since we kept renewing it, I decided to buy a copy for ourselves. The book sends a wonderful message about taking care of others but also taking care of yourself. This book can also teach counting as well as the days of the week. I can hear my daughter counting all the things that Queenie does for her daughters and herself when she reads it to herself and when we read it together she always wants to count everything. An excellent book for girls.

My daugther and I checked this book out of the library on a whim. What a great book. While some of it is impossible (On the day Queenie gave birth to 15 daughters...), the story is very sweet. It shows that you can do really nice things for your family but at the same time be able to do things for yourself. What is really nice is that my daugther likes to count all the things that Queenie does for her daughters from making birthday cakes, to building beds, to planning weddings for all fifteen girls. However the best is for the end since Queenie always gave her daughters everything that she could, she finally can do what she wants.

This is a wonderful book! The cadence and illustrations are fabulous!

This title in the Osprey fortress series examines the fortified camps of the Roman legionaries, many of which gradually evolved into complete townships. It covers the Roman era from the foundation of the Empire to the Battle of Adrianople (378), but it suffers the typical tendency of overlooking the 3rd and 4th Centuries, focusing largely on the era between Augustus and Domitian.

Like all titles in this series, this book is very powerful visually. In addition to 7 fine color plates by Brian Delf, it also contains several maps and numerous photographs, some of which, unusually for Osprey, are actually in color.

The book is opened with a useful chronology of the Roman Legions from the Augustan era to the beginning of the 3rd Century. The next section is 'The deisgn and development of legionary fortresses', which examines what the forts under individual emperors 27 BC-AD 217 were like in layout. After this is 'The elements of a legionary fortress', which, discussing the various buildings within the fortress, may well be the most useful and interesting section of the book. The last major section, 'living in a legionary fortress' is similar. The book is closed with a brief, 5-page summary of the forts of the last two centuries of this era.

Overall it is a solid resource on the forts of Rome's elite soldiers, and a useful addition to one's Roman military library.

I read this wonderful book! A fine addition to the others they publish. Well written and accurate in art, a must for the serious reader and for young adults. The entire collection of Osprey Publishing is worth having for the entire family. Such colorful illustrations, with the original and restored pieces, are additions to our scope of the past.

Roman Legionary Fortresses 27 BC-AD 378, by Duncan B Campbell, Illustrated by Brian Delf is recently published by the folks at 'Osprey' as a part of their "Fortress" series. ISBN 1-84176-895-2. There are 27 B&W photos, 16 color photos, 14 line drawings and 6 color plates and 2 color maps, not including the covers.

This is a good starter for people wanting to know about the Roman fortresses of the legions. Not only are there many different locations, with some nice photos, but there is a wealth of information about different positions, time periods, and legion deployments contained in this work. I enjoy the idea that it is not Anglo-centric, and covers Roman Fortresses from Scotland to Egypt, with a good deal of mention being given to the forces and forts in the Danube region.

I didn't see anything outstandingly controversial, or even 'jump in your face' new, but the work brings together a lot of different material from various sources in a concise and well written primer on Roman Fortresses. Unlike many of the modern speculative works so popular in recent publications, we have facts and a brief bibliography, and actual references are given in the body of the work.

Even though this is published by 'Osprey' it weighs in as a must add to my collection, and is informative and enjoyable to the serious student of the topic, as well as the dilettante.

My 9-month old loves looking at the illustrations and discovering the animals that Pip meets on his travels. This book is totally adorable and never gets old.

I received all four of the Pip books from a fellow teacher. Our infant daughter loved them. We would bring them everywhere. On several occasions we would be able to quiet her crying spell by opening a Pip book. She is now 15 months old and she still loves them. These books are brightly colored and simple with a flap on each page for the little one to practice flipping too!

Most children's books fail to combine the simple with the complex. The illustrations are based on great basic line drawings and the stories paint adventures that are really engaging even for adults. Hollywood if you are listening, "The Adventures of Pip" would make a great animated series or movie!

Pip like Tucker is really, really good stuff.

It's fun to eat a picnic lunch on your towel, play catch with a big beach ball, wave at faraway boats and explore the rocks and tidal pools finding starfish and minnows..... Patricia Hubbell has captured those wonderful carefree childhood days in her terrific new picture book and youngsters 3-7 will delight in all the glorious summer fun. Told in lilting rhyme, her joyful text is enhanced by Lisa Campbell Ernst's soft, sun-shiny, expressive illustrations that will transport you to the beach on a perfect summer day even if the snow is falling outside your window. Sea, Sand, Me! is a wonderful addition to your home library and a book children will beg to read again and again.

The narrator is a small girl whose mom is packing the car for a day at the beach. When the car is packed, they drive off to the beach, where there's another kid to play with, sand castles to build, and seaweed to wear. The story is cute and presented in rhyme. It has about 200 words.

I first purchased this book to familiarize my three year old son about the beach. The more I read this book, the more I liked it. The illustrations are incredible. The author has such a beautiful flow of words. I even used this book to do a lesson presentation in one of my graduate classes. I absolutely cannot wait for the authors next book to be available.
