Cameron Books

Well, the excitement in Cameron, Utah, just keeps getting better--wilder, more thrilling! This series of books with characters that carry over from the earlier Cameron books is a winner, for sure. Watson has a wonderful way with keeping the suspense and excitement churning along at a breakneck pace that keeps you turning the pages. And the romance? Well, keep a cool glass of iced tea handy for cooling off, is all I have to say! A great, terrific book!

While I'm not usually a fan of study guides, this one was very well done. This book goes into a lot of detail about the MBA and how to get the most out of your MBA study, including getting the most out of case studies, and those dreaded group projects where you get stuck with a bunch of lazy people who don't pull their weight. Full -time MBA students might not find it as valuable, but if you are in a part-time, executive, or online program where you are pretty much on your own, this book can very be useful.

What a wonderful little book. I believe it was written around 1900, when the countryside was a freer place. The contents bring back so many memories of my formative years in the English countryside. I have read other titles by this author who was a well known hunting man, but this is a book I can really identify with. He writes with a passion on all manner of country sports, many of them long vanished. Many of these pastimes will be new to most readers. Even I, who spent most of my boyhood free time hunting, stalking, fishing and ferreting, thought I could learn nothing new. That was until I discovered the authors interest and advice on such unusual pursuits as hawking insects with jackdaws, sniggling eels, beetle fighting, millipede racing, wiring pike, hedgehog hunting, squirrel hunting, netting sparrows, to name just a few. Of course there is much discussion of more recognisable field sports such as rabbit, badger and rat hunting,pigeon shooting, fox, hare and otter hunting etc but all are written about in such a manner as to stir many nostalgic memories in older readers such as myself, and also to teach younger ones some new and unusual methods of taking their quarry. I can thoroughly recommend this book and I am sure it will excite the interest of all true countrymen whatever their age.

This is one of those books that I read from cover to cover without loosing interest anywhere along the way. The book is broken up into 8 chapters that cover: mobile context, mobile delivery methods, development practices, validation, testing, and advanced technologies such as Flash Lite, SVG and Ajax, as well as much more.

As a mobile developer for many years, most of the information was a review for me, but I was happy to learn several new things and refresh my mind on what is important as a mobile developer. I think this book is great for those just starting and those who have anything to do with mobile sites.

My only wish is that EVERY web/mobile developer would read this book and follow the best practices outlined in the book.

I am an Industrial Practitioner of Process Control. I have been working for more than 16 years as an Instrumentation, Automation, and Process Safety and Control Engineer for the Oil & Gas Industry. I own both books, and I have found that together they are an excellent reference in my day to day activities.

My father was buried at Arlington in 1987. Upon my visit for that service, and subsequent visits, I found very little in the gift shop and in bookstores at the time. As I am involved in the design profession as an art director, I am also a bit more choosy. I was drawn to this small, elegant book when I first noticed it on a shelf in a bookstore years ago. I purchased it on a visit to DC in 1991, and serendipitously, met and worked with the photographer, Cameron Davidson, years later on numerous years of commerical photography shoots, nationwide. I was amazed to learn he had photographed the wonderful book I chose above others to remember my powerful visit to Arlington with. Cameron's exquisite images truly evoke the feeling of visiting Arlington, and the writers words support his photos. His family has military ties and it comes across in the way he uniquely 'sees' Arlington. My only wish is that this book was larger, and still in print. Anyone with any connection to Arlington deserves to be able to obtain this lovely book.

This book is full of fun characters and great story lines. It's fun to read aloud to your kids and short enough for bedtime stories!
