One can't read the essay on Fray Luis de Leon without thinking of important friends in one's own spiritual life!

True to Life is a great follow up to "A Walk Through life", there is brilliant content inside and I love Vote for change which is obviously a tribute to Barrack Obama and his Campaign.

Duane Ashley Poole describes real love, exposes flaws in the American Judicial system, and delivers an inspirational piece of writing entitled "Relentless and life", which gives a stunning tribute to the boxer Ricky Hatton and, shows how one's determination and resilience will deliver victory, even to those of us in seemingly worst case scenarios.

This book talks about courage, strength coming out of depression, society and much more. I really enjoyed this book and I believe Duane Ashley Poole has a message worth hearing! I recommend this item to children, teens and young adults.

The Truman Years is an insightful, surprisingly readable analysis of a defining era in American political history. Byrnes has certainly expended considerable effort in bringing the Cold War to students of history in an entertaining yet scholarly fashion. Even those readers not receiving academic credit will enjoy this fascinating study.

well, not quite a needle....actually a national park in Nepal, but the tracking of the largest Asian elephant ( 11 feet at the shoulder, 22 " foot diameter ) in order to document its existence, and in so doing hopefully ensure its safety by giving it a 'national identity' did not prove an easy task ! An excellent read .. couldn't put the book down !

A little harsh-seeming to some adults, I still think this is an awesome teaching opportunity for kids AND a cute book. Sure, the little guy is told he's ugly and chased from everywhere he goes... but there's the moment when the mother duck says "I love you anyway", the farmer who takes him in, and the moment he realizes he's a swan!

This contains some of the most moving and practical jewels of Thomas a' Kempis. If you have read the Imitation Of Christ and were in any way moved, this will push you beyond yourself to a truly deeper relation. I have already read it thrice and will read it again and again. It belongs with works of Julian of Norwich, Frances de Sales, and the many others.

This book came as a nice surprise - a full color book on the history of Volvo buses. From the beginning of the 20th century to the almost-present, this book offers an interesting historical look at buses built by the famed automotive company. There's a nice array of exterior and interior shots - some of very unusual variety in service all over the world, and restored Volvo buses in various museum-like displays.

Anyone who is interested in buses, or Volvo products in general, should purchase a copy of this illustrated volume.

I had never thought of Bangkok as being a good city to walk in, what with the heat and the smells, the pollution and treacherous sidewalks, I preferred to use tuk-tuks, cycle cabs or even the canal boats, but this surprising little guidebook changed my mind about all of that! Apart from being useful and practical, it contains a wealth of odd little bits of information about some forgotten corners of the city as well as some really nice little sketches by the author himself. It's a real find.
