Bush Books

A great, great book. Really brings to light the myriad of people, places and things that comprise modern day Australia. Very funny, yet touching at times.

my thoughts of this wonderful warm story is that what a incrediably woman Jane must be. We had this book as children and was the one that was favoured by all in our family. Its is a story of feeling and close bond of her and her family. To put yourself and family out with nature and the wild bush must be invigourating. I am only sorry that my children have never felt what her son did. It is a story of great respect and courage, I congratulate you Jane.

The book is a wonderful guide to learning how to let your conscious mind get in touch with your Inner Self. That Inner Self can answer many concerns through feelings and images as you listen to classical music. The book comes with a CD that has carefully selection tracks of classical music. Imaginery and music can offer very very powerful healing of past psychological injury. I am a much better person for the work of the author.

This is one of my all-time favorite books, and I can't even remember how a California girl (ahem!) like me came across it. Oh, probably after I read The Road From Corain, another book about growing up in the Australian bush. Anyway, I just don't understand why this book isn't in print in the US and why no one has ever heard of it..... It is SUCH a great story (true story) of a girl just growing up in the circumstances she was born to, like all the rest of us. Only Patsy was born and reared in Australia, in the bush, and therefore it is a childhood quite unlike any of us Americans can even imagine. How her mother kept her childhood just a childhood so she was not cognizant beyond a little girl's understanding of the difficulties in which they lived is a real testament to the love, strength and courage of mothers everywhere. Patsy was just a little girl, like the rest of us once were, and made the best of what she had. This is a terrific book! It rates up there with any memoir written by an American that I can remember (and I've read loads of them).

It's a wonderful book we got for a neighbor girl who's aware of all the gardening that goes on around her. I think it will really strike her as being personal to her life.

My 4-year-old is following along with this book/tape combination about 10 times a day!! It's positively addicting. The illustrations are engaging. The tape has wonderful narration on one side and just music on the other, so you can read the story along with the music.

I recommend this book to anyone who likes nursery rhyme books. In the book it has animals acting out the nursery rhymes. The book starts out saying "The is the way we brush our teeth, Brush our teeth" and so on. It has beautiful text that's easy for early readers to read. It's also a great book for parents to read to children ages 2-6 years old. They will enjoy it!!

I like his writings on Bay Area sports... hes a fan and a gambler so he has a weird twist on sports... A reader for the bathroom ...and a sports fan

This book has captured the essence of the gospel in a way no other book I have read has. The art work in the book explains it without words but the words are so clear that you won't want to get lost in the art.

This is great - Thank you Beau - It's about time someone has captured the gospel so clear but so accurate.

The book is good for kids, youth and adults. Mine is always on my coffee table.

Hollywood Hussein is a deliciously irreverent romp into the cloak-and-dagger world of espionage and diplomacy, with a healthy dose of Hollywood thrown into the mix just for fun. I enjoyed the raucous and funny story line, and recommend this book to star watchers, political junkies, spy groupies, and anyone who wants to take a trip into the labyrinth of pop culture and world affairs at the same time.
