More than meets the eye by Greame Burton was recommened to me by one of my teachers at college. It has been a very useful aid to my studies over the last 2 years. It contains simplified information on vital areas of the course such as, juxstapostion, general sound, editing and lighting features aswell as more complex information on these areas. It is a well explained book and easy to use. Though i have not mentioned all the topics covered in the text the reason for this being that this review would be over 5,000 words! It is easlit in my opinion the best book for a-level media students and is a must buy!

This is an excellent look into the lives of 13 different women, each of whom followed their own individual spark of inspiration, and created unusual lives for themselves while making a contribution to the world in which they live. Each one tells her own story, and they are captured by co-author and photojournalist Beverly Spicer in beautiful, candid, black and white images.

This illustrated book will give you ten of ideas on how to make coats for your dog, how to make beds and houses for them, necklaces, how to create a card for their birthday and much much more. Step by step projects, are easy to make using not only the patterns from this book, but also your imagination. It shows how to give your dog a bath, nail cut, brush. There are pages with doggy recipes for a special occasion or for every day cooking (they are delicious; I tried them!). It even has horoscope with details on every one, matching personalities, favorite color etc. It's really fun!

Title: A Passing Storm

Author: Phyllis J. Burton

How could things have changed so much? Jennifer and Peter's marriage had been great for so many years, yet once their sons left, everything changed. Peter became absorbed in his work, striving for a better position. He had worked so hard for the chance that was about to be offered him, and Jennifer understood this, but she was so desperately lonely.

Peter spent much of his time at work and then took an apartment in the city so that he did not have to travel home after late meetings or long days of work. Then there was a beautiful secretary who spent so much time with him.

Jennifer left Peter and found herself in a lovely mountain village in Scotland. Invergrosgie was a holiday destination that the whole family enjoyed and it seemed the perfect place to try and sort out her future. Little did she know that both love and near disaster would find her there.

Author, Phyllis Burton, has skillfully woven a story of love and deceit. Her writing is precise, her characters colorful and her description allows the reader to actually visit the lovely British Isles through her words.

Mrs. Burton is the mother of three grown children and four grandchildren. She lives in Surrey with her husband Jim. This is Phyllis Burton's first novel and with its success, will come more well-written and heartfelt stories. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Reviewer: Elaine Fuhr, Allbooks Reviews

Fascinating, Hilarious Regional History of British Cuisine

This book is chock-a-block with interesting insights and hilarious anecdotes set against a scrupulously researched tissue of culinary-cum-cultural history. I could not put it down, and there were moments when I laughed at loud! To read and understand *The Raj at Table* is to taste the cross-cultural confluences that continue to temper our sense of culinary style today

My 13 yr old son used this to help him learn how to read and analyze literature. Each story made him think about what he had read, and come up with his own conclusions. The stories were enjoyable for him, as well as instructional. I highly recommend using this as a supplement to any literature series.

We purchased this after going through several other spelling curricula. Concurrently purchased the Natural Speller, which offers great ideas if you want to make your own lessons up. This book has plenty of work and practice. About 1/3 of the exercises require you to have the Teachers volume for instructions. We just skip those, and still have more than enough to do. We like that there are biblical references, and that the lessons are in color and engaging. Plenty of variety.
