I was not sure what to expect on ordering this book.Im so glad I did.its perfect for my needs..it gives everything from materials used for each..painting...why...and all techniques.I do watercolor and stamping and arcylic painting..this is perfect for my needs ..oil painting is also included..this is a treasure...and has history on miniature paintings included..its a pretty book..lots of color pictures..well worth the price..B.W.

The author is my grandpa. He passed away a few years ago. He was Dean of Business at CSUFresno, and a great man.

David Burton's Confident Imperialist of Theodore Roosevelt shows that Mr. Burton knows not only the president but the man himself. The life of Teddy was what I can consider a short time for such a great man. David Burton captures the great moments of Theodore Roosevelt's lifetime and displays them in such a way were the reader can read them and relate to them as well. Theodore Roosevelt is such a great person in American history; and to exploit him, his compromises, and way he stood for is dissapointment to historians and to Americans. David Burton showed the world how Teddy Roosevelt was and what he did for his counrty. The Uniter States of America is stronger becuase of this man: Theodore Roosevelt. To know who Teddy Roosevelt is and what is stood for can make yourself evaluate who you are and what you stand for. David Burton does an excellant job at that and shows the reader that Teddy Roosevelt was a great man. Readers can also capture the excitement and sorrow of Theodore Roosevelt's life. The only problem that I had with the book is that Mr. Burton's idea to write everything in five chapters. Theodore Roosevelt's life history is more than Five chapters and should be expressed in that manner. All in all, Mr. Burton's masterpiece of Theodore Roosevelt is to be desired by Theodore Roosevelt fans as well as Daivd Burton fans.

When I was little, my dad used to read me this story. Always when "things wiggled and jiggled in side of her", my dad would start tickling me. I could hardly get my breath; but I did just because I wanted to hear the end.

This is a book for kids of all ages and it provides smiles at bed time. I have tried for some time now to find this book. I want to share its fun with my children, laugh with them, and kiss them goodnight with smiles on their faces.(most of the time) I hope someone can help me find a copy and then find one for themselves.

This book shares the tragic. gruesome, melancoly, thoughts of an inluential revolutionary director.

"Tim Burton: A Child's Garden of Nightmares" is divided into chapters, each chapter being a movie that he directed or created (A Nightmare Before Christmas). For each chapter, there are articles that people wrote when the movie was being made and a review. I wish it had more interviews with Tim, but oh well. The book also has alot of pictures of him and the actors on set and there's a chapter about the short films that he made (Frankenweenie, Vincent). This book really taught me about Tim Burton and his films. Fun to read!

Be aware that this is volume 1 only. Volume 2 is only available in another edition. If you want the whole work, be sure you can buy them both before ordering one.
This is not for an introduction to Burton; read this after you've read his classics like "Journey to Mecca and Medina," "City of the Saints," and the African journals. Most of those are available in Dover editions.

I have consulted several spy business dictionaries and talked with intelligence professionals. This dictionary provides a lot of bang for the buck. The only one better than this is the $65 dictionary, "CIA Insider's Dictionary" from the Association of Former Intelligence Officers.
