This is a darling book with true life illustrations. This book was recommended by the Before Five In A Row book. I ordered
it used and received the book in perfect condition. It's a good book for exploring nature for children ages 2-5. Also, the
illustrations provide good examples of nature, in the case you want to do nature journaling.

I found an old copy of this book in my mother's belongings after her death. I was so blown away by the references of the Mass
to the station of the Cross. It was similar to some of Scott Hahn's teachings from the Lamb's Supper. Truth never changes
and the Church has always understood the Way of the Cross and the Way of our life to be intertwined when we belong to Jesus.
The artistry is powerful and the narrative is humbling. A great Good Friday meditation.

Before you dive headlong into the dizzying realms of this relatively new science or before you spend a fortune on the ever-growing
multitude of books on NLP, buy this book FIRST!
This book really is a GREAT introduction to NLP and because it's small with only 120 odd pages, it gets straight to the point. No waste, white-wash or waffle!!
If you're new to the subject, it's perfect, you'll be very well informed in only a couple of days reading.
If you're already well aquatinted with NLP, but need a summary of all the main points; for example because you're taking an exam on the subject; then again Gillian's book is just right.
Either way I believe you will be very pleased at the value for money this book offers.
From Gillian's own introduction:- "NLP is described as the study of human excellence & demonstrates how to communicate effectively & influence others [in business & pleasure circles].
There are plenty of references throughout to guide you if you want to delve deeper into the subject.
Easy to read, clearly & attractively laid out and full of positive tips to motivate you to improving your business or your life in general. It has many eye-catching pictures to illustrate points and a few humorous examples to develop ideas.

This book was really exciting and enjoyable. It was well written and very easy to read. I didn't know what was going to
happen until the very end. And I loved the ending! Read it, you'll love it! The characters were well described and interacted
well with each other and I loved Rick Stevens - he was believable and a really honest guy. I'm looking forward to the sequel.

Why this is my favorite book on fitness:

I have a master's degree in human performance and nutrition from the University of North Carolina. I counsel patients on
nutrition and exercise for a living - our caseload is close to 12,000 patients.
Last year, I was invited to join an employee wellness committee; my employer has ~ 2,700 employees: the majority of whom are women, and many are overweight or obese.
My job includes reviewing literature, such as best-selling "weight loss" books (including other books by Rodale - hah!). My goal was to find a program designed for said demographic. The program needed to be affordable, convenient and scientifically sound. This book was a rare find.
If someone wants to "lose weight," but does not want to exercise, then this book is NOT for her. If we are committed to being fit, then this book is for us.
The book is made of high-quality photo paper and has pictures of each exercise, showing the range of motion for each exercise (including what not to do). Various exercises tone muscles of the upper, middle and lower body three days per week, with intermittent power walks to burn fat three days per week.
Here in the Piedmont Triad of North Carolina, we have a nice climate, hills and tracks. If you live in a place where power walking is difficult without a treadmill or unless you join a gym, then I would still recommend this book (ignore the title) ... the nutrition guidelines and the exercise program are sound for all ages and fitness levels.
After the FIRST six weeks, you can repeat the same, mix it up, or increase the intensity: the author shows you how. (The author is clear about a "permanent way of life"; Rodale, I suspect, placed emphasis on "... in just six-weeks.")
I still run and lift weights while doing this exercise program (that's my idea of a good time), but even my fitness level improved with this book. So, I am both professionally and personally grateful for this book.

Directly addresses a very common psychological problem among both kids and adults - the compulsion to be perfect

Though written for young people ages 8-12 (grades 3-6), Nobody's Perfect: A Story for Children About Perfectionism is more
than a storybook; it directly addresses a very common psychological problem among both kids and adults - the compulsion to
be perfect. Young Sally Sanders feels like a failure if she can't be the best; as a result she procrastinates, avoids new
experiences, and relentlessly compares herself to other. Her teachers and mother try to help her overcome her inferiority
complex, and she gradually learns the fun of relaxing and trying out new things without worrying so much about being the best.
"Sally was surprised to hear her mom say that it was important to work hard and have fun... 'But I might not be any good at
soccer,' Sally added. It was the real reason she didn't sign up. She felt embarrassed to admit that she might not be good
at something... 'That's okay,' Mrs. Sanders assured her. 'Imagine all the fun you'll miss if you let that stop you.'" The
thoughtful handling of an important real-life issue makes Nobody's Perfect highly recommended, and an absolute must-have for
children's grade school and public library collections. Nobody's Perfect is also available in a paperback edition.

Another great book by Mr Burns! Well written, easy to understand. Wonderful photos. The history is a big plus for me too.
Explains a lot in a small package! Another book I wouldn't trade for the world! A must have for the carnival collector to
gain an invaluable insight into the specific houses & how they relate to each other.
