Although things that i think need imporoving are: More books with Phil, more funny bits, like, with Veronica or something. ALthough, i think the books need to have more in them. Everything happens in a short time, like HArd HAt for instance. When i read that, I felt as if i had only read about 6 chapters. Unless its just me, becasue i read pretty fast! hehe
It was a good book though!
Please take my thoughts into consideration Ms. Bryant!

The excerpt of Dr. Sadler's novel does a fine job of highlighting her strengths as a writer. Sadler has an exceptional ability to create a strong sense of place for the reader. Using both distinctive sentence construction and authentic dialogue, readers are pulled into the world of her characters and can immediate develop empathy for them.
Sadler takes a non-linear approach to plot development, often jumping between the past and present as her characters move throughout the story. As the character of Deona Martindill considers her actions, we follow her thought processes back and forth between the present and the past. Deona Martindill's memories of her childhood don't just provide background filler for the story. They are a integral part of the story.
I am a fan of Dr. Sadler's storytelling technique. She has an original style that captures the essence of her characters and the world in which they live. The excerpt provided for her entry showcases her talents. We all wish her the best of luck in this competition.

A MUST for the Trans-Oceanic collector!Review Date: 2007-08-13
Invaluable, Entertaining, ScholarlyReview Date: 2000-10-07
The book places the genesis and subsequent evolution of the TO clearly in historical context and explains the impact of the TO on the commercial development and acceptance of the portable radio. The authors provide practical advice for collectors, even citing restoration techniques and specific restoration products used by museums.
Especially gratifying is the use of endnotes that provide sources of historical information. More than just references, the endnotes contain enough interesting anecdotal data that you'll find yourself reading them in their entirety when you finish the main text.
If you are interested in the history of radio for any reason, you won't go wrong with this fascinating, authoritative work. I expect that it has already significantly increased interest in the collecting of Trans-Oceanics.
Tough to put downReview Date: 2007-01-02
The book covers several areas: the history of the Trans-Oceanics, details of the various models, restoration and repair information, and accessories.
The history information is well worth reading, and told me a lot I didn't know about the radios.
The repair/restoration sections are excellent, whether you are experienced with electronics or not.
I would say this book is a must-have for anyone with an interest in Trans-Oceanics

a collection of outstanding articles on Anthony Giddens.Review Date: 2002-05-06
With those materials, you could grasp how Giddens is evaluated and assessed in circle of his colleague. If you want to be oriented to Giddens¡¯ framework, this is not the right one. But if you want to build your own opinion about Giddens, this is definitely ready to lend a hand. Various writers attempt to dissect Giddens¡¯ grand fabric to hit upon the weakness and develop alternatives.
This set as a whole is divided into eight sections:
1. Career and work
2. Influence of other writers like French structuralists and German hermeneutic school
3. Giddens¡¯ epistemology in the view of philosophy of science.
4. Structuration theory
5. Time-space in structuration theory
6. Theory on nation-state
7. theory on modernity
8. extensions and application of structuration theory

And I Thought I Didn't Like Strawberry Shortcake - a review of "Cinderella"Review Date: 2006-03-28
[Btw- don't know what is wrong with the front cover shown above. It is, in fact, in full color and not a line drawing.]
In this book the premise is that Strawberry Shortcake and her friends are going to play dress up and act out the story of `Cinderella'.
Most of the storyline is kept. The stepmother and sisters are mean. They keep Cinderella too busy to get ready for the ball; and they try to keep the prince at the end of the story from meeting Cinderella and fitting her with the shoe, etc.
Where the story deviates is that the girls are vying NOT for the princes hand in marriage, but for the chance to live at the palace and care for the `royal berry crop'. Decidedly better, in my opinion, than all the emphasis being on marrying someone one hasn't met yet.
Four Stars. [B+]. Very Good Read-aloud. Drawings are what you would expect; large and colorful, simple and sweet.

Surprisingly Good Read!Review Date: 2007-12-25
This is an amazingly enjoyable read - you would think that Peter Bryant was an experienced writer and raconteur instead of being a motor racing mechanic turned Can Am racing car constructor.
The book is filled with humorous and interesting anecdotes about life with Team Lotus in the early 1960's working for Colin Chapman (including making a home made rocket to fire off in the Lotus workshop!). The author later worked with the BRP F1 team on John Surtees F1 car and he also tells the tale of being imprisioned in Karachi with Graham Hill!
In the mid 1960's, Peter Bryant moved to the USA and worked for various race teams including an emotional entry in the Indy 500 race. Through hard work and dedication, he worked for the best teams before deciding that he should find a way to design and build a Can Am car to take on the likes of Bruce McLaren, Denny Hulme, Dan Gurney etc. You will read an enthralling account of how Bruce McLaren gave Peter parts in the pit lane as he struggled to get his revolutionary titanium challenger onto the grid.
This book is full of superb stories written in an easy going style. It's packed with many of the author's own photos and is a refreshing change from the many driver biographies which are around at the moment. I can heartily recommend the book to anyone interested in the 1960's and 1970's racing scene.
