The 24th entry in Big Finish's Doctor Who's CD's is one of the strongest entries and to this point the Best of the Peter Davidson
episodes.
One cause of it the excellent script delivered from Ian McLaughlin which paints such a great vision of Egypt circa 1400 BC that audio is all that is needed.
The Basic plot is Erimem daughter and only surviving child of the newly deceased Pharaoh is heir to the throne but someone wants her dead. But who is this fair haired stranger and his young woman who has saved her? And what of the mercenaries camping nearby ready to fall on Egypt?
We then add to the mix the always able Peter Davidson supported by Nicola Bryant and Caroline Morris. The interaction between Bryant and Morris is particularly good. The rest ofthe cast kkeeps it rolling.
To this point it is the best of the half dozen Davidson's I've heard. It's a great place to start if you want to begin a collection of Davidson audios.
Buy it.

Provides a clear definition of 'religious imagination'

Of various authors who wrote a book with `imagination' or `religious imagination' as a title, none of them clearly defined
the meaning of it or how the term applied in their research. Let say Richard Rubenstein with his book The Religious Imagination:
A Study in Psychoanaliysis and Jews Theology (1968), John Bowker who wrote The Religious Imagination and the Sense of God
(1978), or Marry Farrrel Bednarowsky wih her book Religious Imagination of American Women (1999), to marshal some but few.
In this book, David J. Bryant added some others who did not pay enough attention to the meaning of the term: David Tracy with
his The Analogical Imagination, Ray Hart with his Unfinished Man and the Imagination, and even Gordon Kaufman with his The
Theological Imagination. The later got considerable account in this book, along with Ricour, Gadamer, and Kant. To the best
of my understanding of this issue, this book provides a good source for both epistemological and critical analysis of religious
imagination. I recomend this book for seminarians who are interested to in the study of the relation between faith, revelation,
and imagination.

This is one of the most interesting books about the Gulf of Maine I have ever read. Apart from the immediate content, the
book was written with such optimism (about 50 years ago) and proves to be an amazing reality check on our current state.
This book looks like a college textbook but reads like a good novel. If you are interested in learning (in a refreshing post-college reading level) about the Gulf of Maine and the marine wildlife there, this is the book.

This is a great counting book. My daughter loves the pictures of Strawberry Shortcake and the story. She also loves to count
the glittery strawberries on each page. My daughter is a book worm, and we read lots of books everyday. This one is her
favorite!

Brilliantly Romantic Evocation of History

Sir W. Arthur Bryant was a historian of a type perhaps no longer much found: the romantic patriot. His trilogy's stirring
evocation of the wars with Napoleon (Years of Endurance, Years of Victory and Age of Elegance) have been among my favorite
books of history. Written during the Second World War, with its echoes of Britain's isolation during another period when
another Continental despot sought European conquest, yet military defeat failed to staunch the British spirit, Bryant (who
writes a bit better than that purple prose) was moved to write this trilogy. The books are simply thrilling. His interest
in social and economic subjects is not great; his interest is primarily in heroic personalities on the world stage, and
the conflict of "national psychologies". His description of battles on land and sea is wonderful. I love these books, and
I'm sure all but the academic historian (which Bryant clearly is not) would too.

My child, who has been somewhat reluctant to work with math, found this book to be a real delight. She whizzed through it,
enjoying every page. Very clear, very informative.

A qualified and distinguised MENSAN himself, he has taken on and beaten his fellow MENSAN's who distain his views on race and religion. Facts are facts, and John has them. He put's them together in some thirty books, and runs a web site that is rated among the best in the world....
He takes on current events, art, literature, and humor with equal ease.
His eccentricity is part of being a genius, just as it was with Einstein.
