Perfect book for the AOL & computer beginnerReview Date: 2000-01-03
You are guided, step-by-step through the basic facets of AOL, including AOL usage & navigation basics, management of the account, basic internet usage, communicating with AOL (Email, chat, instant messager), and personalizing AOL. It does not go into detail on the content associated with the various "Channels" - but I feel that is for the user to explore.
This book is excellent for the raw beginner. The screen examples point out which buttons to push and the results of those actions. It will save me several hours setting down and guiding my mother in the use of AOL.

"Apocalypse, The Unveiling" (Bookbooters Review)Review Date: 2003-03-08
Apocalypse, The Unveiling is essential reading for anybody interested in cutting through the misconceptions surrounding the Book of Revelation, and for understanding how the Book of Revelations applies to the modern world.

A must purchase for the serious advising practitionerReview Date: 2008-10-28
While, at first glance, this technique may appear to be time consuming, focusing on student success actually takes less time than working with students who are in crisis. Moreover, by proactively engaging students utilizing AA you reduce the percentage of at-risk students.
This methodology does not ignore possible roadblocks or self-destructive behavior. Most students already know what those behaviors look like! Instead, it focuses on potential resources that students might utilize to address deficiencies and increase constructive behaviors.
A must resource if you are in academic advisor looking for ways to be more proactive in positive, student engagement.

A masterpieceReview Date: 2002-01-11
A true starving artist. Davies really did starve for his art. He achieved an amazing feat by saved his meager pennies for long cruel and cold years and months. He lived homelessly or more properly `tramped about'. Davies realized his dream and paid for the self-publishing of his first set of poems.
The preface by George Bernard Shaw after reading the works Davies sent him, recounted how Shaw found Davies living in a homeless shelter in London.
Sadly this book is no longer in print but can likely be found in most libraries.

Great kids' activities!Review Date: 2007-12-10
With panache, Bryant describes how to make a megaphone, create phony weights, and do magic tricks that are visually
effective and more straightforward than those frustrating ones in commercial kits. The book is bursting with good ideas, such as ways to pack a punch with animal acts using only children in costumes, and tightrope numbers with a skipping rope laid on the grass. Sidebars provide fascinating potted histories of related subjects, such as the Cirque de Soleil and Marcel Marceau.
Bryant's Circus is one kids can truly organize and see through to opening night all on their own, learning a lot about performance and production in the process. The author also slyly slips in lessons in manners and personal responsibility, devoting the final chapter to cleaning up the big top and writing thank-you notes to those who donated props and such."
