I purchase iron-on transfer books for the Comfort Blanket Ministry of St. Ferdinand Church. It is a blessing that such books are still available - we use these iron-ons for painting and marker coloring which ultimately become squares in our ministry's beautiful blankets. Keep selling these kinds of books, we'll keep buying them!

Perfect book for the AOL & computer beginner
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 2 total.

I purchased this book for my mother, who at 77, is just getting familiar with a computer. This book guides the beginner through each step of AOL, making heavy use of screen pictures (two on every page!), with brief explanations for each action at each step.

You are guided, step-by-step through the basic facets of AOL, including AOL usage & navigation basics, management of the account, basic internet usage, communicating with AOL (Email, chat, instant messager), and personalizing AOL. It does not go into detail on the content associated with the various "Channels" - but I feel that is for the user to explore.

This book is excellent for the raw beginner. The screen examples point out which buttons to push and the results of those actions. It will save me several hours setting down and guiding my mother in the use of AOL.

"Apocalypse, The Unveiling" (Bookbooters Review)
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 3 total.
Review Date: 2003-03-08
Bryant's masterful and scholarly work reflects upon the Book of Revelation and spans the time from when John received the Revelation on Patmos until the New Heavens and the New Earth are created and all things become new. The author also approaches the study of the Book of Revelation by utilizing the original blueprint of Revelation, which was given to John by Jesus Christ. The blueprint serves as a framework for understanding the visions contained in the Revelation. The author's unique perspective also resulves what has traditionally been a seemingly insurmountable conflict between the pre-tribulation and mid-tribulation camps. This perspective is best summarized by utilizing the framework for understanding Revelation and understanding that there are three different groups of Christians seen in heaven in three different locations and at three different times.

Apocalypse, The Unveiling is essential reading for anybody interested in cutting through the misconceptions surrounding the Book of Revelation, and for understanding how the Book of Revelations applies to the modern world.

A must purchase for the serious advising practitioner

What a wonderful resource for the academic advising practitioner. Appreciative Advising provides a practical guide to helping students reach their fullest potential. By presenting a systematic, proactive, positive approach to student engagement, the advising environment becomes a safe place students can dream and decide what steps are necessary to achieve their life goals.

While, at first glance, this technique may appear to be time consuming, focusing on student success actually takes less time than working with students who are in crisis. Moreover, by proactively engaging students utilizing AA you reduce the percentage of at-risk students.
This methodology does not ignore possible roadblocks or self-destructive behavior. Most students already know what those behaviors look like! Instead, it focuses on potential resources that students might utilize to address deficiencies and increase constructive behaviors.

A must resource if you are in academic advisor looking for ways to be more proactive in positive, student engagement.

I recommend this book to anyone who has wondered about where farts come from, and how to master your farts. This book talks about the different kinds of fart, and how you can control which to produce at which time. I've learned how to emit a total of 82 different farts thanks to this book, and I never knew that different combinations of food could enhance your arsenal. The author of this book should be knighted.

Aviatrix anti-nazi action.Steve Bryant and company have company up with a winner, here. An old fashioned pulp superhero of the air, and in this case, we have a superheroine. "Just another nazi-fighting monster killing babe", or something to that effect.Entertaining adventure from an intelligent heroine. Plus vampires, nazis, guns, planes. Maybe even an ape or two. What more can you want?Oh, and the artwork is fab, go look them up on the web if you don't believe it.

It's a joy to have private eye Sydney Bryant back.

AUGUST NIGHTS is a nice blend of mystery, suspense, humor,
and romance. You will soon feel as if Sydney is a good friend
whom you've known for years.

I look forward to many more novels from the talented
Patricia Wallace.

A timeless tale of a man who, by little fault of his own, finds the world has turned its back to him. The book is a true story, about the author's own struggle to exist, to exist and to write. A heart-warming account of how the penniless among society survive and sometime realize the dreams we all have within.
A true starving artist. Davies really did starve for his art. He achieved an amazing feat by saved his meager pennies for long cruel and cold years and months. He lived homelessly or more properly `tramped about'. Davies realized his dream and paid for the self-publishing of his first set of poems.
The preface by George Bernard Shaw after reading the works Davies sent him, recounted how Shaw found Davies living in a homeless shelter in London.
Sadly this book is no longer in print but can likely be found in most libraries.

Great kids' activities!
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2007-12-10
"Toronto writer Jill Bryant who now lives in England has written a dynamic guide to creating a circus in your backyard. In humorous prose, she teaches kids to clown, juggle, tumble, mime, and stage-manage. Bryant shows how to build on existing talents, such as ballet and gymnastics moves, math brains, and a ready wit. Even very small kids can be involved, since Bryant is careful not to suggest anything more dangerous than jumping over a lawn chair.

With panache, Bryant describes how to make a megaphone, create phony weights, and do magic tricks that are visually
effective and more straightforward than those frustrating ones in commercial kits. The book is bursting with good ideas, such as ways to pack a punch with animal acts using only children in costumes, and tightrope numbers with a skipping rope laid on the grass. Sidebars provide fascinating potted histories of related subjects, such as the Cirque de Soleil and Marcel Marceau.

Bryant's Circus is one kids can truly organize and see through to opening night all on their own, learning a lot about performance and production in the process. The author also slyly slips in lessons in manners and personal responsibility, devoting the final chapter to cleaning up the big top and writing thank-you notes to those who donated props and such."
